The restaurant, with its refined menus created by the owner, is worth the trip alone, with a special mention for the homemade foie gras... absolutely delicious, served in a pleasant dining room by attentive staff.

The dishes and ingredients are always evolving. All for under €10. The service is perfect; Edouard and Emma are kind, attentive, and take great care of their customers. The best place in Lyon for an easy, quick, and delicious lunch.

10/05/2026: My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout France, getting to know and appreciate many hotels, campsites, and restaurants. Thanks to our town twinning partnership, Alsace holds a special place in our hearts, and we've had the opportunity to experience much of the region's traditions and culinary delights. My wife's French has served us very well so far, and communication has always gone smoothly. So, we thought we'd take our children on a lovely weekend trip to Alsace. We booked five double rooms for two nights, one with half-board and one with breakfast only. But we've never experienced anything like this in any hotel or restaurant! Reception: The welcome upon arrival was friendly and in French, and communication was straightforward. There was a sign on the counter indicating that French, English, and German were spoken there. Upon departure, we were charged for three nights instead of two: one with half-board (correct) and two without (incorrect). We were initially overcharged by €443. During our attempt to clarify the situation, my wife's French suddenly proved insufficient for the receptionist. The young woman couldn't speak German, and we resorted to using Google Translate for English. After much back and forth, the overcharged night was finally corrected, but to this day we haven't received an answer as to why the same room cost €91 and €96 per night, respectively. Room: Our room was clean, but the furnishings were dated and there was no air conditioning. The bathroom was small, with a shower and sink, no natural light, and the only light source was a small lamp by the sink. A hairdryer was provided. The toilet was in a small cubicle next to the bed, the ventilation didn't work properly, and it smelled musty. The door wouldn't open properly because the bed was in front of it. We could hear everything from the neighboring toilet. There was no bottled water provided in our room, and the refrigerator contained only a disused glass. Food: For our half-board dinner, we had no choice of menu items. We weren't consulted beforehand, nor were we asked if everyone ate meat or sausage. Once everyone was seated at the table, the menu wasn't presented to us. There was no non-alcoholic drinks menu on the table, and it wasn't provided until we asked for one. We were served small rolls and pretzels, but without butter or dip. The main course was the Alsatian specialty, Choucroute garnie. An alternative had to be improvised for our two vegetarians upon request. The sauerkraut had an overpowering caraway flavor; it was dry, not creamy, and I missed the tangy notes. The potatoes tasted watery and lacked flavor; there was no trace of salt or other seasoning. The sausage was bland, the skin was tough, and the quality was disappointing. The meat was acceptable. The cheese platter didn't include any chutney or fruit like grapes. The service at our table left much to be desired. We complained about the food that same evening, first in French, then in English, and afterwards a woman who spoke German came and apologized. Breakfast was served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The buffet looked promising and offered a wide selection. There were eggs that we had to cook ourselves; it was best to stay with us so that no one else unknowingly took one. On Sunday, there were no more eggs available by 8:00 a.m. No other egg dishes were offered. The cold cuts were of good quality. On Saturday, the cold cuts platter was empty by 8:45 a.m., even though new breakfast guests were still arriving. It was only refilled after we asked for more. The swimming pool was good and clean. The Wi-Fi reception was good throughout the entire property.

27/09/2026: The setting is lovely, and the staff are attentive and professional. As for the food, the dishes are beautifully presented and generous. Everything is homemade using fresh ingredients. The meat is cooked over a wood fire, which really makes a difference in the flavor. The price is reasonable.

Shaded terrace with superb armchairs... very friendly welcome, pleasant background music, attentive and very smiley waitress... the dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious... only seasonal produce... homemade, so rare... and their cocktails were divine... a great place to remember, well done and thank you!

27/09/2026: Overall, a pleasant experience. The food is decent, as is the service, with well-prepared dishes. The real highlight is the setting of the estate, which is very pleasant and greatly enhances the experience. A good place to enjoy a meal in a lovely environment.

A magnificent setting with very professional service. Everyone was very courteous, helpful, and attentive! Personally, Oussema and Mehdi made a lasting impression on my partner and me. 15/07/2026: Overall, we had a good time, but were very disappointed with the cooking of our ribeye steak to share. Ordered rare, it was served well-done (already sliced ​​when we arrived at the table, so the chef had clearly noticed the mistake, but decided to serve it anyway, just in case). We didn't want to ask for it to be recooked, mainly to avoid waste, and we don't usually leave negative reviews. When we were asked if everything was alright, we simply pointed out that the meat was overcooked. The only response was: "I'll pass it along." Our comment wasn't really taken into account, which is a real shame. A cooking mistake can happen, but how it's handled makes all the difference. It's regrettable, especially for a cut of meat that deserves to be cooked properly.

23/06/2026: Hotel booked for my first leg of the GR 30 hike. Lovely hotel in the village center, comfortable and welcoming. The room was very clean, and the bedding was excellent for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Dinner was eaten in the evening at the restaurant owned by the same person in the village: very good, appetizing food, and the staff was attentive and very welcoming.

17/07/2026: A week ago, I had the pleasure of having lunch at Fogo restaurant, enjoying their set lunch menu featuring their char-grilled chicken. The kitchen and service staff took the time to chat with me and provided exceptionally welcoming service. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, especially considering I went alone. I highly recommend trying Guillaume Goupil's cuisine, which allowed me to experience profound flavors even in the simplest dishes. I would also like to mention the particularly light and comforting strawberry cake from pastry chef Rémi, which perfectly complemented my lunch. I will most certainly return and commend the quality of the food and service at this very affordable price.
