13/09/2026: I came with my boyfriend for a drink in the evening; it was my second time there. The first time, I hadn't really enjoyed it because I thought the cocktail wasn't strong enough. But this one was just right, exactly how we like it. Of course, they're not cheap, and there's no table service—you have to get your drink at the bar and find a seat—but I think the atmosphere is great. Plus, there's a security guard at the entrance, so it's quite safe. It's really a perfect place to have a drink in the evening and soak up the Lille vibe in peace and quiet. And the facade is absolutely gorgeous.

07/09/2026: Scammers who charge extra for non-refundable "deposits" on every drink. And the manager acts like a gangster. The food is disgusting; my burger smelled like rotten meat. My brother-in-law, who works as a health inspector, is going to be fired soon after reading my story.

04/09/2026: Disgusting food! I've never seen anything like it in the Basque Country where we've lived for 10 years. Probably a staffing problem, but that doesn't excuse anything!

17/06/2026: I gave the hotel overall 5 stars, because the rooms are not big, but clean, the terrace with view of the vineyards and parts of the village is great, the stuff is very friendly, the breakfast fabulous and the dinner and wines are really nice as well. And the price is good value. I looked at other places in the area as well and because of the combination of all of the above I prefer this hotel by far.

31/05/2026: We'd been wanting to try it for a while, and we finally did today. What can I say except that the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly? Both the owner and the waitress were very kind, smiling, and welcoming. The food was delicious! We ordered the small steak frites, and we each had two butcher's cuts and tripe—everything was fantastic! The tripe was exceptional. The desserts were also delicious, and all at an unbeatable price. We highly recommend this bistro.

30/04/2026: Passing by on a Wednesday at lunchtime, I had a superb discovery: excellent cuisine made with top-quality ingredients, all served by a smiling and attentive waitress. In short, avoid the big restaurant chains because there are little gems like La Charrue in the villages 😉

The portions are generous, and everything is homemade, even the bread, which, by the way, is absolutely delicious. 21/06/2026: We visited the Michelin-starred restaurant Auberge Saint Walfrid. Given its excellent reviews, our expectations were understandably high. Upon arrival, we were seated in a beautiful dining room and looked forward to beginning our culinary journey with a nine-course tasting menu. As the restaurant is located in France, we were naturally greeted in French. Unfortunately, we do not speak French, so we politely asked whether communication in English or German would be possible, as these languages were also indicated on the restaurant’s website. Given the restaurant’s proximity to the German border, we felt this was a reasonable request. One would expect that, after such a request, communication throughout the evening would continue in one of these languages. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Time and again, the staff reverted to speaking French, making it difficult for us to fully understand the explanations and enjoy the experience. The sommelier was another disappointment. When we asked whether a wine pairing was available with the menu, he seemed not to understand the request and responded with several unclear wine suggestions, without explaining which wines would accompany which dishes. The result felt rather disorganized and confusing. Furthermore, we were left with the strong impression that we were not considered particularly interesting or valued guests. The food itself—which was truly outstanding—was often placed in front of us with little or no explanation. There was a noticeable lack of attention and engagement from the staff, and even a smile seemed difficult to find. In summary, the service was deeply disappointing and, in our opinion, not worthy of a Michelin-starred establishment. The cuisine, however, was exceptional and deserves every compliment.

04/06/2026: It is rare these days to find a really comfortable and unique place to stay. And indeed this beautiful Auberge that I found by chance, as it was half way on my route to the UK, is just that. I have returned 3 times and it remains a memorable experience. It has exquisite rooms, pleasant staff and wonderful food and wine. There is a lovely pool too. You wouldn’t know if you passed by in a car what treats lay inside for a weary traveller. Exceptional - I love staying there. Neal

22/07/2026: Looking for a place to eat on our holiday road trip, we found this restaurant just 3 minutes from the A89 motorway, and it's definitely worth the detour. A warm welcome, a delicious three-course meal (starter, main, dessert), impeccable service, and all at a very reasonable price. Thank you to the Ginkgo team!

11/10/2026: A lovely place where I received a very warm welcome, courteous and kind. I had a very good dinner; I chose a simple dish, a ribeye steak with fries, but everything was well-prepared and of good quality. The glass of wine was well-poured and an excellent vintage. I was just passing through Blois, but I have wonderful memories of my visit thanks to this lovely stop at this restaurant, which offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend it.

18/08/2026: We went on purpose today because yesterday was closed and .. surprise Totally closed. I can't say anything. We are leaving tomorrow, so no option to try it.

28/09/2026: We had a very peaceful four-night stay. The breakfasts are fabulous, and our host, Daniel, goes out of his way to serve you. Plus, he's a local and has plenty of great tips on places to visit, restaurants, and more. A former master chef, he can also advise you based on your culinary preferences. Highly recommended!

07/10/2026: We celebrated our wedding here in September and have exceptional memories of it. The Venue and Organization From the cocktail hour to the dinner, the organization and quality of service were absolutely perfect. The team was very professional, attentive, highly experienced, and perfectly adept at managing large, medium, and small events, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor area, where the cocktail hour took place, is particularly charming and opens directly onto the main hall, which features a lovely fireplace. The hall offers numerous possibilities for personalization, whether in the table layout or the decorations, as far as possible. The venue can also put you in touch with trusted vendors for decorations. The Cuisine Chef Paolo, the owner, offers a world cuisine (and more) that is expertly prepared from start to finish. Special mention for their incredible Braai specialty and generous platters of meats (lamb, beef, and veal), as well as their appetizers with varied and refined flavors inspired by cuisines from around the world. We had an unforgettable day and evening. A huge thank you to the entire team—Paolo, Yamina, and their staff—for helping to make our wedding such a magical moment. Thank you again and congratulations to the entire PASSIDEO team!
