07/06/2026: Who said you can't eat well in a shopping center? Le Comptoir des Frangines proves otherwise. Top-notch service, inventive cuisine, and healthy ingredients: it's our favorite spot in Le Pontet. Admittedly, the average bill is a bit higher, but the quality on the plate more than justifies every euro spent. A sure bet!

17/09/2026: Very disappointed. The decor and setting are certainly very pleasant, but the presentation and finesse of the dishes need improvement, especially considering the price. 122 euros for two, including 26 euros for two glasses of champagne. The welcome wasn't particularly warm. A shame.

15/10/2026: October 2026, another stay in La Flotte... And, of course, a stop at this spot with its breathtaking view for our midday meal, which turned into a truly excellent experience savoring seafood. The dishes had familiar names, but... the tastes and flavors were once again brilliant discoveries! And to top it all off, the same charming young woman was there, providing impeccable service and a warm welcome to my wife and me. Despite the passing of time and the restaurant's popularity... surprise: she recognized us immediately! Thank you to her for her smile and sense of humor, which added such a delightful touch to the experience! (This is in stark contrast to a place called "Le Nautic") Second stay in La Flotte, but... first experience at this waterfront restaurant. We can confidently say: TOP-TOP! The welcome is charming and attentive, and the dishes served are simply excellent, not only delicious but also with a touch of originality in their presentation, and a few other details not found elsewhere in previous days, such as the (truly) fresh bread, the (truly) homemade desserts, etc. Highly recommended! And above all, a word to the service and the kitchen staff: don't change a thing!

01/06/2026: We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. A huge thank you to Laurence for her warm welcome, her availability, and her kindness. She was particularly attentive to our 19-month-old son, who also thoroughly enjoyed his stay. We especially appreciated the absolute tranquility of this establishment. It's a true haven of peace where we were able to relax and recharge. The garden is magnificent, with superb roses that add so much charm to the place. The pool is perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. We left feeling refreshed and delighted with our stay. This place is ideal for a romantic getaway or for a family seeking peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. Thank you again to Laurence for all her thoughtful touches. We will gladly return!

26/05/2026: Don't be fooled; this is a bed and breakfast that you'll pay the price of a very nice hotel. At first glance, the location and aesthetics of the establishment are ideal: 2 minutes from St. Rémy de Provence and a beautiful traditional farmhouse. The property also has ample parking. The room itself, however, is rather basic and already has some flaws that are not worthy of a 4-star hotel: no curtains on the windows (meaning that during the day you're either seen, or you close the curtains and live in darkness), limescale on the bathtub faucet, no hand soap, and a broken minibar. Then, in the morning, breakfast won't give you the impression that you're getting your money's worth. There are few "homemade" products (only yogurt and jams), and the fruit isn't local (a real shame considering all the grocery stores and markets in the region). Furthermore, even though breakfast is served briefly (8:30-10:00 AM), arrive early! Items are rarely replenished, and your selection will likely dwindle very quickly. Finally, the biggest disappointment comes from the service. It clearly tries to project a "Grand Palace" image, but this is merely a facade, and there is absolutely no flexibility to back it up. First, before your stay, you'll receive a phone call asking for your arrival time, only to be told that check-in is only possible from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Thank you, I can read… Secondly, there is no receptionist or security personnel present after 8:00 PM until the morning: guests are therefore left to their own devices, with only a number to call in case of emergency. This is acceptable for a guesthouse, but it's not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. One rather unsettling anecdote: you're warned to be careful not to lock the reception entrance door, otherwise some guests might find themselves locked out because their key won't open the door, leaving them stranded. It's unbelievable! There's no food service, and be warned, eating or drinking in the rooms is strictly forbidden! Is this a boarding school or a hotel? Finally, be aware that it's not explicitly stated, and at no point, but check-out time is 11:00 AM, not noon. Even if you simply apologize and say you weren't aware of this, they'll try to prove you wrong. In short, it's a beautiful establishment with a lovely facade, but it's sold at an astronomical price compared to the subpar services offered.

09/07/2026: We just stoped by for coffee and the lady at the reception was friendly beyond our expectations. This is what hospitality should look like. Would 100% choose to stay here if we return to the village.

15/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at the restaurant this Sunday lunchtime. A table set on the garden terrace, impeccable and friendly service, and truly delicious food. We loved every dish we ordered. It was a truly magical experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the Chef and his team!

09/06/2026: This hotel was recommended to us by two different friends so we were very excited to try it. We were completely underwhelmed, surprisingly. There appears to be two parts to the hotel and our room was in the part where you had to take the stairs to an elevator and then more stairs after you got off the elevator. The room is advertised as 29 square meters, or about 300 square feet but it is chopped up so much that it felt like 150 square feet. The decor was very dark and depressing , more reminiscent of a funeral parlor. The bathroom had been nicely updated but the shower was incredibly small, while there was a full bathtub - bad use of space, as the bathtub could have been a nice sized, normal shower. Had to sit sideways on the toilet, due to the angled walls. Breakfast was good, service was touchy depending upon the mood of the person working that day. I’m guessing our friends had different/better rooms, as I could never recommend this based on our experience.

30/04/2026: Beautiful boutique hotel in ideal location. Helpful attentive staff available 24hr. Rooms much larger than typical Paris hotels. Room feels very comfortable and historic. The restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast and our dinner was our best meal in Paris.

05/05/2026: If you're looking for delicious meat, look no further, this is the place. Special mention goes to the veal chop, which was absolutely amazing, and the homemade profiteroles (though without ice cream, a real treat). This rustic inn is run by a lovely family; I highly recommend it.

09/09/2026: Stumbled across this place while cycling to Lac de Montriond. Tuesday night was their last BYO Bbq 🍖 so we grabbed some meat from the shop next door and chef cooked our food perfectly. You could help yourself to bread, coleslaw, potato salad and condiments. We had a fab evening and met some great people. ✌️

05/09/2026: Great food, great service, great vibes. La marmotte d’or is a truly special spot, the interior is cozy and welcoming and the sprawling terrace has gorgeous views of the mountains; the sunsets here are stunning! The food is very well-portioned and reasonably priced with some good vegetarian and vegan options. There’s a good variety of drinks: beers, wines, cocktails and mocktails. The bar regularly hosts events and concerts so it’s a great place to spend a fun evening. The staff is very friendly and all speak French and English. If you’re in or around Montriond it is truly worth the stop!

04/07/2026: Ideal location for a coffee near the Bois-Guillaume town hall and for a meeting point. Convenient parking in the adjacent lot. In the middle of a heatwave, it was a pleasant surprise to find ourselves in an air-conditioned café! We were seated in a very comfortable four-seater booth. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The place is spotless, "you could eat off the floor!" But we'll have to come back for lunch as they serve meals. And they have the usual services: newspapers, tobacco, games... There are a few tables outside, but next time ;)
