11/10/2026: Very good, just the service was a little slow, but the staff were great. Generous portions and everything was delicious. I especially recommend the ricotta ravioli.

28/09/2026: We were very disappointed by the restaurant, both by the service and the wait between courses. It took two hours for the first course after we had a lovely charcuterie board shared between six adults, which was quickly devoured. The justification given was that the charcuterie board was considered a starter? The main courses were subpar! The andouillettes were served cold with a spoonful of vegetables and a small basket of fries! The burgers were standard and lacked any particular flavor, and the salad was sparsely filled and, oddly enough, served with pieces of strawberry. We had to wait again to order dessert! This wait was justified by staff shortages, so we finally left after three hours!

Moreover, it's in a magnificent location, with a terrace overlooking the Creuse River and the lake of Bourg d'Hem. An experience not to be missed, especially considering the incredible price for the quality. Thank you again to the couple who go to such lengths to please their guests!

17/08/2026: What more can I say than fantastic! A magical and rejuvenating place, an idyllic setting just 10 minutes from downtown Rennes. The welcome and professionalism are truly evident at this establishment. A place where life is good and golf is a pleasure. It's rare to see a course as varied as La Freslonnière, where no two holes are alike. Golf enthusiasts will be thrilled by this sublime, sporty outing through the heart of the forest, which will require you to carefully consider each shot to place the ball in the right spot. This course will provide you with immense golfing pleasure. What a discovery, wow!!!! Congratulations to all the teams, and thank you for this discovery; we will be back ;-)

10/08/2026: Meh, for that price, the quality and taste are nothing special. An 8.5€ gummy bear that was bland, completely broken, and the stick didn't even stay on when I opened it. I had to eat it with my fingers... it dripped everywhere... not practical at all... It's not good quality and it doesn't taste good either.

06/08/2026: A huge thank you to Mr. Michalak's team. Yesterday was the anniversary of my mother's passing. We used to love enjoying pastries from renowned pastry chefs. A friend and I came to the Marais district to try a Yann Couvreur pastry, which my mother had never tasted. Google said it closed at 8 pm, but it actually closed at 7 pm, and we arrived at 7:08 pm. I was devastated, on the verge of tears. My friend quickly found a solution and located the Christophe Michalak shop 400 meters away. My mother adored him; she even owns his cookbook. It was closing 20 minutes later, and we barely had time to arrive. We received a wonderful welcome. I explained the situation, and one of the sales assistants was moved by my story. They were incredibly kind, and I will be eternally grateful to them.

15/10/2026: I came to this restaurant for lunch today after seeing a set menu for €18 on their website, including a starter, main course, dessert, and a quarter-liter of wine. When I arrived, I asked what was on the menu. I was told there was a gizzard salad and chicken in cream sauce, but they didn't mention the dessert or provide any details about the set menu. Seated on the terrace, near the entrance and the stairs, I didn't see any prices displayed there. There was a yellow and red sign advertising the set menu, but without any details of the dishes or prices. I ended up paying €27, including a coffee with cream. After calling the restaurant, I was told that the menu was advertised inside for €22. I can understand this difference from the price shown online, but the prices should be clearly displayed and the contents of the menu should be explained to the customer. On the food front, the gizzard salad was decent, but quite simple, consisting mainly of iceberg lettuce and gizzards. As for the chicken in cream sauce, I found it far too salty for my taste and didn't finish my plate, even though I asked for the rest to go. Fortunately, the service was adequate, the sunny terrace pleasant, and the staff kindly allowed me to charge my phone, which I appreciated. Overall, a mixed experience: a friendly welcome and a pleasant setting, but rather ordinary food and, above all, a lack of clarity regarding prices and the menu. For €27, I expected a better experience.

24/09/2026: While on holiday in a gîte in the region, we tried a takeaway pizza place: friendly telephone reception, the time and availability were confirmed and respected, the pizzas, very large and generous, cooked in a wood-fired oven, were excellent, and the prices were quite reasonable. We recommend this place! 😊

31/08/2026: An excellent board game bar in Caen! I highly recommend it, especially the delicious burgers!

25/08/2026: We went there one evening, not realizing it's better to reserve a table beforehand xD But the staff were lovely and managed to find us a table for two anyway. The only slight downside is that the tables for two are really narrow, making it very difficult to eat/drink while playing... (even when choosing simpler games). It was also a bit frustrating because we had asked for a larger table that was free at the time (and without a reservation), but we were told it was reserved for a larger group, and in the end, they let a couple sit there... who were just eating, while we were there to play games too. I was a little annoyed, but oh well, that's how it goes! Otherwise, I like the concept of a board game bar; the platters were really good, and the drinks too! However, we waited over an hour for our mussels and fries, and we were about to leave when they finally arrived. And although we thought they were good, we were a little sick that night and the next day :( (we unfortunately have no idea what caused it). I also really enjoyed the little riddles to solve! Overall, it was a positive experience, very friendly staff, good food, you just have to be patient when ordering and also book in advance xD

24/09/2026: Visited on 23/09/26. Very warm welcome, friendly and competent service. The quality of the products is impeccable and everything is well-prepared. Scallop carbonara recommended! This establishment could very well earn a Michelin star one of these days... in any case, I hope so, it would be well-deserved.
