05/09/2026: The products are undoubtedly of good quality, however, considering the price, the service is completely inadequate. The dishes are ordinary, lacking any refinement or subtlety in the flavors. The waitress is pleasant, but doesn't meet the expected standards. The knives look like they came from a cafeteria... I found this address in a book listing various good restaurants. I encourage you to try the Chartreuse au Reposoir restaurant; it's half the price and the quality is incomparable. This is the first time I've left a negative review, but frankly, I was disappointed.

23/08/2026: Excellent in every way, the cuisine was masterful, the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the chef was at the helm. Thank you for this delightful meal: sweetbreads with an exceptional morel and chanterelle sauce, peas and new potatoes in a Grand Marnier soufflé, a glass of Chinon, and coffee with a mini puff pastry Tatin. The service was very professional, not with a forced, commercial smile, but a genuine one that brought me pure joy. A very charming lady, a regular customer, sat at my table and shared this lunch with me. Please give this lady my regards to the manager. Thank you again! Passing through this magnificent region. 10/09/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant; we had dinner there as a group of four during our visit to the area. It was the only restaurant that agreed to serve us at 9 pm. The mussels were excellent, served with homemade-style fries. The beef was cooked to perfection. The mushroom stew was excellent. The dessert was homemade. The chef and the waitress were very pleasant. Thank you!

19/09/2026: After reading many good reviews and on the recommendation of our son, we ordered a table for two here, and expectations were exceeded. The fish soup is a fish soup with a capital F, full of flavor, and the side dish provided an unexpected twist; delicious. The main course is fresh and more than enough to leave just enough room for dessert. Choosing apple ice cream with Calvados was the right choice; at the very end, we asked for a third scoop of ice cream and mixed the Calvados into it. Very picturesque and small, with cozy and friendly service. The quality is top-notch, truly top-notch.

21/09/2026: We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now, and with each visit, we have noticed a steady improvement in the cuisine, and above all, a remarkable consistency. Our latest eight-course tasting menu confirmed this impression once again. The cuisine is masterful and cohesive, built around high-quality, seasonal ingredients, with a strong emphasis on local produce. Mackerel, foie gras, frog legs, lobster, John Dory, and French Wagyu beef are all prepared with precision and respect for the ingredients. The cooking is perfectly executed, the combinations are spot-on, and the sauces add depth and balance to the dishes. We were already particularly impressed during our Easter lunch by the dishes featuring lamb, seasonal truffles, asparagus, lobster, and turbot. This latest experience confirms for us the evolution of the cuisine, but above all, the consistent quality of the offering. We also greatly appreciated the wine pairings, with relevant and sometimes surprising choices that perfectly complemented the different dishes. We sensed a genuine knowledge of the local terroir and ingredients throughout the entire team. The service mirrors the cuisine: attentive, warm, professional, and well-orchestrated. We felt a close-knit, dedicated team, committed to creating a truly exceptional gastronomic experience, right down to the smallest details. Our feeling is that the restaurant has reached a level of mastery, personality, and consistency that, in our opinion, deserves full recognition. 16/09/2026: A refined meal in an exceptional setting with servers who matched the quality of the place.

05/09/2026: To be clear, the 1 star is awarded for the friendly and pleasant service. The food was below par. We had ordered turbot and ray wing. These are not the most difficult fish to prepare, but that was without counting on the chef's 'creativity'. The turbot was completely dried out with a sauce that was supposed to resemble a white butter sauce, garnished with a dark substance that made the whole thing tasteless and unrecognizable. The ray wing came with a thick, greasy cream sauce. The plates were dressed identically with a dried-out 'salad' of something unrecognizable. Clearly, the plates had been sitting there for hours, with a tasteless dollop of purée—of celeriac (?)—and a mushroom filled with some kind of cream cheese. Disgusting! What in God's name has happened to the 'craft'? Why does a chef feel the need to reinvent the classics of French cuisine instead of following standard recipes? Turbot simply fried in farm butter? Skate wings with a butter/caper sauce with a little lemon. What is so difficult about that?? Sorry to the service team, it is not their fault that an incompetent cook, and therefore an incompetent boss, runs the place. We even left a tip for the friendly people in the dining area. Please find another restaurant so you can get a bit more credit for your work.

31/08/2026: A lovely spot near the port of Carteret, nestled along the coastal road. From appetizer to dessert, the quality is consistently excellent. The wine list offers ample options for pairings. Book in advance during peak season if you'd like a table by the windows or fireplace. Highly recommended. Sandra and Yves

17/07/2026: Interesting place Used to be 3 stories but now two Basement is fine wines and grand crus, the top is like a standard Nicolas Only they close early… probably the most interesting place near Champs Elysées, almost like a wine encyclopedia

16/07/2026: An enchanting place with warm and welcoming decor. A charming, shabby-chic, "English" atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. A lovely selection of drinks and homemade pastries. Impeccable service at very reasonable prices. I will be back. EDIT: I've been back several times since my first review and I'd like to add that the service is still just as pleasant, and the savory dishes are generous and well-prepared.

05/09/2026: Yum yum yum! The food at César & Léonie is so delicious 😋 And Thérèse or Carole always give us a very warm welcome 😊 The prices are very reasonable for homemade food, and on top of that, they have local beers and amazing desserts! Seriously, don't hesitate to go, you won't regret it!

18/07/2026: A three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) for under €23, in an unusual yet incredibly welcoming setting, the food is delicious and satisfying, generous portions, flavorful and beautifully presented. On top of that, the service is quick, the waitresses are smiling, welcoming, and attentive; you feel right at home :) In short, it was such a wonderful, timeless experience that we went twice in three days before heading back to Belgium. This place definitely needs to be discovered :-)

19/10/2026: Solid main courses, but disappointing dessert. The crème brûlée was already sold out early in the evening. The fig tartlet and apple mille-feuille were dry and seemed to be from the previous day. The fondant d'agneau, the house specialty, couldn't be included in the menu. We would only return for lunch to have it as the plat du jour.
