Le Napoli
Saint-Raphael
15/05/2026: A lovely moment shared today.
A very enjoyable meal.
14/05/2026: The foie gras burger is excellent.
The rump steak is very good, but the portion is small, and the fries are frozen, so not great.
There was only one profiterole instead of two or three, and it wasn't very chocolatey.
The children's menu is €14, which is expensive for a single choice.
The value for money is decent but not exceptional.

La Favorite
Saint-Gervais, Paris
21/03/2026: Dead place, we were there with 5 people, unfriendly, food arrived, then two items were missing, then they brought the first item, then the second item, which took another 10 minutes (it was just crepes). Also unnecessarily expensive. The food is okay, of course, you can do that sort of thing, but the rest isn't so good.
20/03/2026: A must-visit, top-notch service and fantastic decor!
Nothing has changed! Excellent mulled wine! A lovely, very popular spot

La Terrasse

14/07/2026: It's terrible when people with no sense of taste serve bad food, and the service is chaotic, in a beautiful setting.
14/07/2026: A charming place steeped in history, as the old-world decor is truly fascinating inside. Easily accessible, with friendly service and a pleasant seat under the glass roof at the entrance. Thank you.

L'etrier
Chantilly
24/06/2026: After a morning visiting the Château de Chantilly, we chose to eat at L’Etrier where we had a lovely time. The avocado and shrimp tartare salad was excellent. The servers were friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. A great break.
20/06/2026: The staff were only moderately friendly upon arrival. They were a bit more relaxed afterwards. The main course and salad were quite good.

Le Café Plume
Halles, Paris
11/07/2026: What a great restaurant! I always order their wokai; it's delicious and generously filled! The service is excellent, I love the decor, and the prices aren't too high, even though it's in a very touristy area. I highly recommend it! 😉
09/07/2026: The food is delicious! The only downside is the heat. Paris cafes don't have air conditioning, and if you go during the summer and eat, you'll get a bit hot. But the atmosphere and the food are worth it!

Les Pavés De Caen
Caen
27/06/2026: A lovely crêperie and pizzeria near the banks of the Orne River.
We came with our grandchildren before going to the cinema. We ate buckwheat galettes and pizzas, all of which were really delicious and generously portioned.
The service provided by the manager was very friendly, and the terrace, shaded by parasols, guaranteed us a pleasant lunch. We left very happy! 😌
16/05/2026: A very good time. Besides the fact that it was delicious, thank you for finding us a small place even though we hadn't booked.

La Magie des Sens
Saint-Amand-En-Puisaye
24/05/2026: Everything is homemade in a quiet setting. Beautiful presentation and generous portions.
09/04/2026: High-quality cuisine featuring excellent seasonal produce, in a unique setting: a traditional farmhouse with a wood-burning stove.
If you're lucky enough to dine in the garden, you'll be serenaded by birdsong. A truly enchanting experience. It's worth noting that the only person who greets you is also the chef and server.
The meal is beautifully presented and delicious. Reservations are essential, as there are only a few tables.

Boccaccio
Nice
15/07/2026: This a nice restaurant with excellent service and delicious sea-food. I totally advise you to stop by at least once a day of your Nice visit. Thank you for your kind hosting!🥳👍🏻
15/07/2026: One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and were assigned to a waiter named RUDY. We waited over 30 minutes just to place our order and more than 40 minutes for starter bread, while every table around us had already been served. When we politely asked to order, RUDY told us to “wait 5 mins” with an extremely rude attitude.
What upset us most was the obvious difference in how we were treated compared to the white customers around us. RUDY smiled, laughed, and attentively checked on other tables while repeatedly ignoring ours. Even after making eye contact and smiling at another staff member (a blond man), he stared at us for several seconds and simply walked away, despite clearly not being busy.
When our water order was mistakenly served as tap water, I completely understood that errors happen. However, when I asked for still water instead, RUDY repeated at least five times that it cost €10, even after I told him that I understood. It genuinely felt as though he was questioning whether we could afford it. When I politely asked to replace the glasses, since tap water had already been poured into them, his response was simply, “That is common sense.” What an unacceptable attitude.
I honestly do not understand why such unnecessary comments had to be made. Was he assuming that Asian customers needed to be lectured or spoken down to? A simple “Of course” or “I’ll bring new glasses right away” would have been enough.
Things escalated when we asked about the bread that every other table had already received. RUDY responded with irritation and became defensive when we questioned why “starter bread” would arrive after the meal.
I rarely use the word discrimination, but the difference in attitude was impossible to ignore. We left feeling disrespected, humiliated, and looked down upon because we were Asian.
What made the situation even more upsetting was what happened after we spoke to the manager. As we were being moved to another table, RUDY and the same blond staff member looked us up and down, laughed, and appeared to be talking about us. We immediately pointed this out to the manager, who witnessed our reaction and apologized again.
At that point, it was impossible not to feel humiliated. No customer should ever be made to feel mocked or disrespected simply for raising concerns about how they were treated.
The manager apologized and removed the oysters from the bill, but complimentary food does not fix this kind of experience. This was never about money—it was about basic RESPECT and PROFESSIONALISM.
To make matters even worse, the entire experience completely ruined our appetite. We barely touched our food and ended up leaving most of it behind. Even the oysters that were removed from the bill tasted bitter after everything that had happened. Unfortunately, this was not only the worst service experience we had in France, but also one of the most disappointing meals. The food was underwhelming, shockingly overpriced, and simply not worth the money. Considering the quality of both the food and the service, the prices were impossible to justify.
I speak English and was able to defend myself, but I cannot stop thinking about how many other Korean or Asian customers may have experienced the same treatment and simply remained silent.
I brought my companion to Nice for the first time and wanted to create good memories. Instead, I was left embarrassed and disappointed after one of the worst experiences I have ever had in France.
Management seriously needs to improve staff training. I cannot speak for the entire restaurant, but the employee named R.U.D.Y. should learn how to treat all customers with the same level of respect, regardless of their background. If possible, I would not even give this place one star. I left feeling that my money, my time, and my emotions had all been wasted.
La discrimination raciale ne peut être tolérée sous aucun prétexte. Vous devriez avoir honte. Le comportement de vos employés a suffi à ruiner notre image de Nice.

La P'tite Cocotte
Nice
19/07/2026: My partner and I stumbled upon La P'tite Cocotte and we'll definitely be back! The food is incredibly delicious, the place is absolutely charming, and the service was fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to return!
18/07/2026: Chronicle of an Evening at "La Petite Cocotte"
Let it be recorded for posterity, on this eighteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-six, the faithful and detailed account of our visit to the august establishment known as "La Petite Cocotte."
We were received there this evening by a middle-aged lady and her son, who seemed—subject to further investigation—to be jointly providing service. When questioned with all due courtesy as to whether she owned the premises, the lady initially answered in the affirmative, then changed her mind to no, before returning to yes, and finally to no again—a hesitant dance that suggests the question of ownership remains, for the lady herself, a mystery as profound as it is unfathomable.
After the appetizer, we were politely asked to remove our knives and forks from our plates, on the pretext that keeping them would have signified our intention to continue eating—a custom we ourselves would gladly have observed, but which, given that the establishment was only hosting three guests that evening, could easily have accommodated a spare set of cutlery, if needed.
The son, for his part, remained glued to his phone throughout the entire meal, his eyes fixed on a football broadcast, and one can reasonably doubt that he would have understood French, even if he had been addressed in that language. The ensuing conversation was, without a doubt, one of the most soporific we have ever had the misfortune to endure.
Next came the vegetarian burger, certainly worthy of being recorded in the annals of culinary absurdity: a thick slice of cheese topped—counted with almost notary-like precision by the kitchen staff—with two caramelized onions and, as Markus observed, three diced tomatoes, which, it seemed, constituted the entire justification for the label "vegetarian." The cheese, so generous that it appeared to be a prime cut, forced the diner to swallow half of it in one gulp, unable to chew it properly. These burgers were sent back to the kitchen, practically untouched, where murmurs could be heard, though no comment was ever returned to us.
We now await the chocolate dessert, not without some legitimate apprehension as to its exact composition.
Thus ended—or rather, thus continues—this absolutely memorable evening at "La Petite Cocotte."
