17/07/2026: Hello, we ate lunch at Le Tremplin yesterday. We were tempted by the Andalusian gazpacho: it was so spicy we could barely drink it... then the chicken supremes, which were very dry! And the mushroom sauce was pure salt! Are the dishes even tasted? That would be the bare minimum! And don't even get me started on the apricot clafoutis: it was so dense... We were more than disappointed... Will we come back? I don't think so. It's a shame because we liked the setting...

18/05/2026: I discovered this restaurant yesterday. The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. I highly recommend the burgers; they're perfect. I would mention one small drawback: the background music. It was quite bothersome for me, as I personally had some difficulty understanding what people were saying. A little less volume, or perhaps better-chosen music, would have made a difference. We had to ask for a carafe of water. Probably an oversight. The service was quick after we ordered.

25/05/2026: The hotel was fantastic, the room was very nice, comfortable, and pleasant. The staff at reception were friendly, smiling, and always available to answer any questions. The hotel restaurant was excellent; you could eat inside or outside. The hotel was very quiet. The all-you-can-eat breakfast was delicious, with plenty of options. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

09/05/2026: A good time, but the cheese platter was communal. Like, the same cheese platter passed from table to table 🤗 COVID seems so far away. Friendly welcome, excellent tarts, and I'm probably being too fussy, but still, there are basic hygiene standards.

27/06/2026: This place is truly amazing, the menu is simple but the quality is excellent. The fondue is one of the best I've ever had, the view was lovely, and the playlist was very pleasant. Go without hesitation! 😉

06/07/2026: Royal Turenne, a restaurant-bar near Place des Vosges, was my most recent lunch stop. Here’s how the experience went judge for yourself. I ordered a Negroni. On their menu, the Negroni is listed with a choice of gin or another strong spirit added to the Campari, with a 2-euro supplement for this option. My Negroni arrived made only with Campari, yet I was still charged the supplement. I also ordered a Coca-Cola. The ice they brought whether for the cocktail or the soda — came with an unwelcome surprise: a fly in the ice bucket. Quite inconvenient. Then I ordered the duck and potato “flat.” I expected lightly pan-fried potatoes in butter, but what I received was simply mashed potatoes shaped into a flat disc. The waiter then asked if I wanted dessert. I ordered a coffee and a chocolate Liégeois from the dessert and ice cream section. I also asked about the “Dame Blanche,” but the waiter couldn’t explain what it was, so I skipped it. I went ahead with the chocolate Liégeois, but they served me a hot chocolate with whipped cream. At first, I thought I had misunderstood, but after checking the menu again, it was clearly their mistake. I pointed out that the chocolate Liégeois in the ice cream section is supposed to be an ice cream dessert with Chantilly , not a hot drink. So why was I given a hot chocolate? When the bill arrived, I had to ask the waitress to remove the chocolate Liégeois, since it wasn’t what I ordered. They had served me a hot chocolate, and at first they refused to take it off the bill, making the situation unnecessarily complicated. Naturally, I asked to see the manager to address the series of mistakes. They acknowledged some errors, yet the manager refused to meet me. After some discussion, they finally removed the dessert from the bill. Overall, my experience at Royal Turenne was disappointing from the incorrect Negroni to the potato dish, the ice bucket issue, and especially the dessert. I won’t be returning. Having to argue over obvious mistakes is unprofessional, and the last thing I wanted to do. But judge for yourself.

09/11/2025: Whether on one of the two terraces or inside in one of the three different dining areas, it's always a delight! If you're lucky enough to get a table in the "lounge" (limited seating, reservations are essential), this intimate lounge/fireplace area remains my favorite, with its comfortable sofas before sitting down to eat. The other two dining rooms are also very pleasant. The service is efficient, friendly, and attentive, despite a few minor points that could be improved (such as systematically announcing the dishes). A true pleasure every time, a passionate and comforting cuisine. Thank you to the Chef and his team.

13/05/2026: A fantastic stop on the Camino de Santiago! I received a very warm welcome at the Denena hostel. The room was comfortable, with a lovely little terrace and even a hammock, perfect for relaxing after a walk. The meal tray they offered (since the restaurant is closed on Tuesday evenings) was an excellent and much-appreciated idea. A big thank you to the owners for their kindness and hospitality. I highly recommend it and will gladly return! Marion

12/07/2026: Refused service at 8:50 pm Saturday night under the pretext that the restaurant was full. There were two of us, and the tables were set but unoccupied. In short, we went to dinner at Le Central where everything went well, and passed by the famous "hen" restaurant again, which was still up and about, probably enduring its last few night owls... who were still occupying a few tables. Please be honest with customers when you refuse them service.
