20/10/2026: We visited in October 2025 and were very satisfied with both the food and the service. Returning in October 2026, we unfortunately discovered a completely different restaurant: bland, tasteless dishes and interminable service. This is unacceptable for an establishment of this stature! A great restaurant must live up to its reputation, both in terms of the food and the service. To see the quality deteriorate to this extent in just one year is simply disappointing. The setting and the reputation alone cannot justify such a poor experience. We hope that management will take action, because at this rate, customers will stop coming back.

13/08/2026: What a wonderful discovery in the heart of Le Puy-en-Velay! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and we had a truly delightful time. The burgers are generous and served with a handy little wooden skewer. They were cooked to perfection, and the bun, sprinkled with seeds, adds a delicious texture. It's a place where you feel comfortable and enjoy your meal. We'll definitely be back.

31/08/2026: Dirty chairs that hadn't been cleaned from lunch. Food that cost 50% more than it should. The joke is that the chef appeared on a regional TV show to share his sweetbread recipe... It's a good thing it looked good on television. That's probably why we saw another table occupied by two people when we dined there for our final attempt. We were already disappointed a year ago. But just to be on the safe side, we wanted to reassure ourselves. I think this restaurant won't last much longer! Proof of this is that so few customers are willing to be ripped off more than twice that they offer a 30% discount for reservations made through TripAdvisor.

18/08/2026: Loyal customers of the restaurant, simply because we live in the village. Best value for money in the region. Good local produce, very well prepared. The setting is superb, especially the terrace in summer. The service is very professional. The menu is updated very regularly according to the season.

23/06/2026: I booked the room through Booking.com. Small but clean room, poor ventilation in high temperatures. No drinks available when the restaurant is closed. Breakfast is self-service and basic: coffee, tea, juice, water, toast, and various pre-packaged jams. So, not a buffet in the traditional sense. Okay for the price, if you don't have high expectations based on the reviews, hence only 3 stars from me.

31/05/2026: A warm welcome, comfortable room, and excellent dinner. As for the much-maligned breakfast, the concept is perfect: available at any time without disturbing anyone. Bread, butter, honey, jam, coffee, and milk are all provided. It's obviously not the breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon only available from 8 a.m. on weekends, but it has the merit of being comprehensive.
