05/04/2026: Third time at La Pyramide with my parents, and still just as fantastic. I really appreciate how they reinvent themselves with each visit, without ever losing their high standards. The cuisine is precise, delicious, and the service is impeccable. We had a truly wonderful time. Even with its two Michelin stars, I think the restaurant deserves even more recognition.

02/04/2026: Unacceptable: Arrogance, Lies, and Contempt for the Customer As a guest of the hotel (3 rooms), I had an experience at La Pyramide that was unworthy of a Relais & Châteaux. Over €2,200 spent on dishonest and haughty service. Timeline of Events: In the Garden: We wanted to finish a personal bottle (Selosse Substance). The sommelier demanded a corkage fee for our bottle in the garden, clearly informing us that the only way to avoid this charge was to order a bottle. We specified that we would be drinking it in the restaurant during dinner. In the Restaurant (Bistro): We kept our word and ordered a first bottle. We then finished our second personal bottle (€130) and, to compensate, ordered a second bottle from the menu plus spirits (€755 total drinks). The Dispute: A corkage fee of €106 was charged. A second sommelier dared to claim that our purchases weren't "equivalent in price" to our Selosse. An arbitrary and insulting rule. The departure (lies): At checkout, the receptionist brought in a third sommelier. After admitting that, as hotel guests, our drinks in the garden were ultimately complimentary, he falsely accused us of bringing a third bottle, which is completely untrue. Outrageous attitude: The receptionist was appalling, implying that we didn't understand "French etiquette" and downplaying the incident because we were "at a bistro." In total, we endured 40 minutes of unpleasant discussions spread over two days. Despite a promise of a refund, a week later we still haven't received anything. Conclusion: An establishment that prefers to lie and "lecture" rather than own up to its mistakes. Petty management to be avoided at all costs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Following the response from Management, which we have duly noted, we wish to clarify some important points. Contrary to what has been stated, your sommelier clearly indicated to us that the corkage fee would not apply if we ordered an equivalent number of bottles at the restaurant. We therefore ordered two bottles, in good faith, based on this information. Under these circumstances, it is incomprehensible and unacceptable that this charge was nevertheless added to the bill, without any prior notification or confirmation from us.

17/05/2026: My opinion of the brasserie itself is quite good overall. It's well-structured, strategically placed, and well-organized, conveniently located near République on Rue du Faubourg du Temple. In truth, it does the job. It's not the best in the area, but the approach is definitely there for the neighborhood. Plus, it's not too expensive, well-organized, and friendly. Above all, the staff are attentive, rigorous, responsive, and the servers are available and welcoming. I highly recommend it if you're ever in the area. It's suitable for all types of people, but it's very small and can fill up very quickly due to its limited size and width. See you soon, and thank you for your trust. The Brasserie Team.

16/05/2026: Expensive Caesar salad. Undercooked chicken, no seasoning. 20 minutes for coffee... Very disappointed.

22/06/2026: We booked our stay at Auberge des Glazicks only 24 hours in advance, yet the team was exceptional in accommodating our dietary requirements. My husband is currently avoiding bread and processed sugar, while I do not eat gluten or butter. The chef went above and beyond, creating a seeded cracker for my husband and an outstanding gluten-free bread for me. Every dish felt healthy, beautifully balanced, and absolutely delicious without being overly complicated. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly throughout our stay, and their Riesling recommendation was superb. A special mention must go to breakfast, which was truly outstanding. We were even able to order oysters for breakfast, and there was a wonderful selection of local specialties. The rice pudding was absolutely divine, and although I couldn’t try them myself, the croissants looked incredibly flaky and, according to other guests, tasted just as wonderful as they looked. Auberge des Glazicks struck the perfect balance between refined gastronomy, thoughtful hospitality, and a genuine understanding of guests’ individual needs. A memorable experience from start to finish.

17/06/2026: The lunch menu offered some delightful discoveries, such as the langoustine with black pudding and the crispy pork. The service was impeccable, provided by true professionals, which didn't preclude very friendly interactions (something not always the case in Michelin-starred restaurants). The only drawback was the dining room, which was rather dark, and the decor didn't quite live up to its two-star rating. But that's just my opinion!

23/06/2026: Excellent place! I had the daily special, which was very well prepared, high quality, and delicious. The staff's friendly and down-to-earth nature, in the best sense of the word, makes it a very pleasant place. The service is very efficient. I highly recommend it.

13/06/2026: The food is good, however, the chocolate apple cake dessert didn't appeal to me. It's a shame the lunch menu isn't a little more extensive.

11/07/2026: Very disappointed. I come to this bar all year round and I've never had the slightest problem. Yet, on the day they were showing the French national team match, I was refused entry because I was told I was too young. I don't understand this logic: if my age has never been a problem before, why would it be different just that one night? I found it unfair and inconsistent. It's really a shame to be treated differently depending on the event, especially when you're a regular customer.

10/07/2026: During the France-Morocco quarter-final, my friends and I were refused entry by the bouncer as if we were dirt. No coherent explanation, just flimsy excuses. The most absurd thing is that we're loyal customers. We come almost every weekend, five or six of us, we reserve a table, we regularly spend around €200, and despite all that, never a gesture of goodwill, never a free drink, never the slightest consideration. Clearly, customer loyalty doesn't matter here. We felt judged solely because we're young, even though we've always been respectful and have always been customers. There are establishments in Douai that know how to recognize their regulars and welcome them with respect. Here, they prefer to turn us away without explanation. For us, that's it. I strongly advise against this pub if you're looking for a place where customers are treated properly.

26/04/2026: Tonight, we tried the cuisine at the Hôtel de France for the first time. I wanted to take my wife because it had been a long time since we'd been able to spend some time alone together without the children. I was looking for a place, a moment, an atmosphere that felt like us. I found everything I was looking for there. A luxurious setting, but not overly so, a simple and pleasant interaction with everyone—from reception to service and the kitchen staff—a special moment that felt like home, like the Southwest of France. This "home" I'm talking about is even reflected in the food, the aroma, the flavor of a chicken and pea broth, just like when I was a child at my parents' house. Back then, during the chore of harvesting peas, the only joy for that little boy was eating a few peas from a burst pod and the leftover chicken broth from the previous day, seasoned with vermicelli, at lunchtime. The surprising taste of red mullet with a duck jus was a delightful surprise. And what about the quail, served with a variety of sauces, purée, basil emulsion, small mushrooms, onions, and more? In short, I'll stop listing all the dishes. The conclusion of this review is simple: thank you to the entire team at the Hôtel de France for this wonderful experience. See you soon.

05/01/2026: Overnight stay for a 3-day business trip What a surprise! 👍👍👍 Impeccable welcome Impeccable room and superb restaurant. The cuisine is perfect, even gourmet. I simply had to leave a review. This establishment is remarkable. My room had a view of the river (waterfall). A truly excellent place to stay! 👍👍👍

11/05/2026: An inn nestled in the heart of the forest, with a pond right in front. A very large terrace and a lovely interior welcome visitors on walks or guests staying in the rooms. The staff are truly friendly and helpful. A dream location for those who love long walks in the forest or for a motorcycle stopover. 3 stars, but 5 stars for the staff.

24/05/2026: Friendly staff. However, the food wasn't up to par. The salad that came with the starter wasn't properly washed; there was still sand in it. The "herb whipped cream" with the asparagus soup wasn't whipped cream at all. I'd say it was cream cheese mixed with parsley. The pressed potato was undercooked and tasteless. The pork chop was overcooked… On the other hand, the ratatouille side dish was excellent! The ingredients are high quality regardless of how they're prepared. Perhaps we just came on an off day; it happens.

28/06/2026: I spent one night at this establishment, which offers excellent value for money. The location is superb, overlooking the sea with a terrace where you can have breakfast. The room was simple but well-equipped. Breakfast was perfect. The welcome and service were warm and professional. Special mention goes to the magnificent garden, which will delight plant lovers.

18/01/2026: I've often gone there with my husband and it's always a delight: today I tried a suggestion, the Munstiflette, which is like a tartiflette but with Munster cheese instead of Reblochon. The chocolate Liégeois dessert was also very good.
