Les Giron'dines
Saint-Emilion
06/10/2025: Very nice place to spend a few hours over a great lunch, great menu choise even for my fussy wife, good service and atmosphere.
05/10/2025: What a wonderful lunch. The service was excellent, friendly and bilingual. The menu had the normal regional fare, but also included a pasta and fish dish, along with a vegetarian option. More choice than most of the other restaurants in the town. I had fish of the day, swordfish, in a lemon butter sauce, a choice of rice, pasta or mashed potato. Wonderfully delicate and full of flavours. Max and Emilie the hosts were friendly, enthusiastic and fun . Definitely worth a visit !

Le Baryon
Macot-La-Plagne
25/01/2026: The restaurant has an authentic decor, but I wouldn't recommend it for the food. I ordered a croziflette, but they replaced the Reblochon cheese with grated cheese (probably Emmental), which was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Especially since the menu clearly stated it was made with Reblochon. I had a similar experience the previous year with a tartiflette that was undercooked and extremely runny, but apparently it was better this year.
19/01/2026: Delicious mountain cuisine.
With quality ingredients, a warm atmosphere, and a professional and very friendly welcome.

Chez le Per'Gras
Grenoble
23/11/2025: Excellent restaurant with a breathtaking view of Grenoble…
However, a minor drawback: the €15 desserts are far too expensive and unjustified!
It's a shame, and it might deter future visits…
25/10/2025: Le Pèr’Gras is one of those Grenoble institutions where you enter with enthusiasm, almost fervor, convinced you're experiencing a suspended moment, an exceptional moment worthy of its history.
The warm and sincere welcome maintains this promise for a while. The illusion works, like a first-year soufflé: we applaud the goodwill, we forgive the clumsiness... until everything collapses on the plate.
To accompany the aperitif, some sausage and cheese rolls. A disconcertingly simple appetizer, suggesting that here, tradition flirts dangerously with the cafeteria. At this rate, next time, I'll book a restaurant at a gastronomic restaurant to enjoy some Pringles: at least it would be perfectly in line with the current inflation rate.
The room, quickly overtaken by the hubbub, makes the charm of the first few minutes vanish. The service, friendly but clearly lost in the menu, struggles to answer even the simplest questions: the composition of a dish, the ingredients in a mocktail, the origin of the products. As the hesitations mount, doubt sets in. As for whether the mocktails are made from local produce, no one can say, not even the server, visibly as intrigued as his customers.
The dishes arrive unpresented. No announcement, no explanation, as if mystery were meant to replace rigor. But the surprise here isn't tinged with magic. It simply denotes a certain laxity, hardly in keeping with the codes of a restaurant claiming to be gourmet.
Faced with food intolerances, particularly lactose, one would have hoped for more attention, even a hint of creativity. Instead of the unsuitable dessert, two modest pieces of cheese, accompanied by wilted grapes, served as an alternative. A makeshift solution, more resigned than inventive.
The cuisine, finally, remains adequate, but lacks brilliance. It executes rather than expresses itself, and leaves the palate in a polished neutrality, far from the culinary emotion one expects from a restaurant of this reputation. Do you have to try the most expensive menu to be surprised? If the Harvest menu, at €49 per person, is already barely convincing, how can you be tempted by the Pèr'Gras menu at €73 or €78? The question is worth asking.
Then there's the view, sumptuous, sovereign. A breathtaking panorama, which alone justifies the pilgrimage. But in this sublime setting, the meal lacks soul, as if the restaurant, strong in its past, had fallen asleep on its reputation.
As it stands, a historic address which would benefit from rediscovering the rigor, precision and creativity that its name still evokes for so many Grenoble residents.

La Boulangerie Saint Georges
Toulouse

Chateauneuf-Du-Rhone
20/01/2026: A fabulous experience; absolutely everything is designed to make your stay perfect.
The food is excellent, the sleep is perfect, and above all, you feel truly at home.
The staff is lovely, attentive, and very professional, always going the extra mile.
It's definitely the kind of place you'd like to keep secret.
THANK YOU!!!
11/01/2026: For a romantic weekend getaway, we decided to stay at the Manoir du Roure, which enjoys a good reputation.
We booked the Saint-Exupéry room.
The room? Disappointing. The mirror was broken in two, there was no decoration, the view overlooked the parking lot, and the hot water took forever to come on (about 5 minutes), which isn't exactly environmentally friendly.
No bathrobe, and the bed creaked as soon as someone turned over… Frankly, it wasn't up to the standard of a 4-star establishment, especially for someone used to staying in nice hotels.
As for breakfast, we arrived at 9 a.m. and there was practically nothing left. For the price of two breakfasts and the advertised standard, it was really meager.
I was honestly left wanting more and won't be returning to the Manoir. It's a shame because it's a beautiful building, though…

Café du Marché
Saint-Andre-De-L'Eure
04/02/2026: A truly delightful place.
Nathalie and Amandine are lovely, sincere, genuine, and very professional.
It's truly a wonderful place to settle in for a pleasant meal. The lunch is excellent. The food is delicious.
The customers are as kind as the owners. Hooray for Nathalie and Amandine, whom I'm growing to love.

08/10/2025: A quick meal at St Andre de l'Eure, and a very nice establishment. The owner is all smiles, really very welcoming. The decor is nice, with some background music. And the meal... nothing to say, it's very good, with a choice of starters, the butcher's cut was extra tender, and homemade fries. In short, don't hesitate to stop by this address if you want to eat in the area. I highly recommend it! Long live your establishment.

La Ferme Des Vonezins
Thones
01/01/2026: A wonderful New Year's Eve. We spent the night in this magical place.
The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in a Savoyard style.
We'll be back this summer.
Thank you to Julie and Philippe.
23/12/2025: The waitress was very professional and pleasant, and she listened attentively.
However, the owner was questionable… moody and rude, his extremely inappropriate behavior shocked us all.
