08/07/2025: Very long waiting time, we waited until 8:01 p.m. to no longer have pints during happy hour, as a result we didn't order wine or coffee as a sign of protest, I can't stand this attitude 🤮 in my opinion, avoid it

03/10/2024: I had high expectations for Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées, given its worldwide reputation for luxury and fine dining. The décor and building were truly magnificent--elegant, sophisticated, and perfectly Parisian. The food itself was as good as you would expect, although the prices were outrageously high. I assumed this was for the service and experience, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The hostess was sweet and professional, setting what I thought would be a pleasant tone for the rest of the meal. That's where the positives ended. Our server, who was apparently named Sarah (according to our receipt), was shockingly rude and hostile from the moment she approached our table. She had round, thin-framed glasses and brown hair clipped up, and her attitude was one of sheer disdain. She rolled her eyes, crossed her arms, and quite literally slammed the menu on the table when I asked simple questions. She was directly and obviously trying to glare me down. Her aggressive body language and eye-rolling were so blatant that I had to turn to my husband and ask, "Are you seeing this too? Is something wrong?" We were both bewildered. It felt like we were being punished for simply existing in her section. Her behavior was so unprofessional and extreme that I was on the verge of leaving, but when I made a point of speaking loudly about it to my husband--loud enough for her to hear--her attitude very slightly improved. However, the damage was done, and the rest of the experience was completely ruined. This is supposed to be a high-end, luxurious dining experience, yet I've never received worse service anywhere ever. You can bet that you’d receive better service at McDonald's. Sarah didn't just disrespect us, she disrespected herself and the restaurant with her utter lack of dignity. How does someone like her get hired at an establishment of this caliber? It's mind-boggling. On top of all this, the menu stated my brunch order came with two sides, but thanks to her unbearable demeanor, I forgot to follow up, and I ended up with a sad, plain omelette. So not only was the service atrocious, but I didn't even get the meal I ordered. Time is precious, especially when on vacation. Choosing where to dine is part of the experience, and this was an absolute waste--of time, money, and energy. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated with contempt at exorbitant prices.

10/11/2024: Belle surprise ce petit restaurant de galettes et crêpes. La devanture ne paie pas de mine mais l’accueil est chaleureux et professionnel, la décoration refaite récemment et cosy, les plats réalisés avec de bon produits locaux. Nous nous sommes régalées et recommandons cet endroit ! La petite boutique en dessous propose également de bons produits.

29/09/2024: Nous avons l’habitude d’aller manger une glace ou une crêpe à la Fraiseraie, mais c’est de pire en pire. Très mauvais accueil de la serveuse. D’autres clients se sont vu refuser l’accès en terrasse alors qu’ils y avait déjà d’autres clients d’installés et servis. Les crêpes étaient froides. Merci de changer ou former votre personnel.

16/12/2024: Great time spent in this very warm restaurant, everything you need when you have spent the evening in the cold. The boss managed to advance my reservation even though the restaurant was full, he did his best and with a smile. The server from the north, he will recognize himself, gave us a very good time. Thanks to the team. We will come back to see you next year.

16/12/2024: It’s ok but a bit exaggerated. In Christmas period it is impossibile to make a reservation for one month as it is fully booked. Setting is nice, food nothing exceptional. Not a big loss if you can’t make it.

11/08/2024: A disappointing experience, the worst I've had so far. We call at 7 p.m. (because when we tried to go there at noon they told us that without reservation there is no table), ok then we call to reserve to take a table at 7:45 p.m., but not possible because in fact reservations are only taken if you arrive between 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. (logical?) We show up there (because we are persistent), 7:45 p.m.; they tell us no table available, you can come in 25 minutes (at 8:20 p.m.). We are waiting (with 2 children, one 2 years old and another 6 years old); 25min eternal. Ok we arrive and have our table; we also waited 45 minutes to be served… (with two children anyway! Very hungry) Slow service like never before, only one waiter for an ENTIRE restaurant (and a girl who “cleared the tables”) Plus they do takeaway pizzas (orders that go before those at the table).. imagine the wait to make a pizza. Without taking starters we left at 10 p.m. (restaurant closing time). The dishes are not that good as for all the waiting we had. Restaurant to avoid if possible.

30/09/2024: Le Petit Vatel is undoubtedly one of the best addresses in Alençon. From the moment you arrive, you feel a warm and friendly atmosphere. The service is impeccable, the staff smiling and attentive to every detail. As for the cuisine, it is simply exceptional! The dishes are tasty, well presented, with fresh and local products. Special mention for the creativity of the chef who knows how to perfectly enhance each ingredient. Whether for a quick lunch or a dinner for two, it's a must-have. I recommend with my eyes closed

13/01/2025: Very good traditional cuisine, good service and value for money, small caveat to the term “Vegan” on the menu… the dishes contain cheese which is not “vegan”, the vegetarian term would be more appropriate.

06/12/2024: Le chef avait oublié de noter réservation et ne nous a proposé aucune solution. C’est vraiment décevant d’autant plus que nous avions prévu de fêter l’anniversaire d’un ami à cette occasion et que nous étions déjà venus à 4 reprises. Je suis extrêmement déçu par le manque de professionnalisme de ce restaurateur.

05/12/2024: The best dinner experience I’ve ever had. I had goosebumps after tasting the dishes and their wine. Fixed repertoire for one day. Limited seats; reservation is required.
