17/09/2024: A perfect location very close to the Loire as well as the city center, for this Mercure. There is a magnificent terrace where you can enjoy an excellent breakfast... Excellent scrambled eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, good pastries and a large selection of Nespressos. The right recipe to start the day off right. Spacious and very quiet rooms. We sleep well there.

24/08/2024: Hello everyone. I travel quite regularly on the road between Nantes and Pornic and I also live not far from Chaume En Retz. So I know this establishment which also has a very good reputation in terms of word of mouth… but without ever having had the time to discover it. Today I have more time than usual so I firmly intend to explore this restaurant. Don't let yourself be impressed at first by the surrounding setting in an area of ​​artisanal and commercial activity which can seem a little sad because frankly that's not what matters most when you go to a restaurant... I would even say that this location offers the advantage of benefiting from good parking spaces. Focus more on the dish menu and menus displayed at the entrance to the restaurant. The prices are a priori quite affordable with satisfactory value for money. In addition, the menu gives pride of place to local producers and fresh products and certain menus change every week which bodes well for respecting the seasonality of the products. Likewise, the Master Restaurateur diploma remains equally engaging. When I entered, the owner welcomed me with great sympathy in full compliance with the health standards in force. I am also quite surprised to note that the room is almost exclusively full of retirees who come in groups for a common banquet and in my eyes this is a good sign because this clientele is quite loyal to good restaurants. So I set my sights on the starter, main course and dessert formula at €15.50 which seems quite attractive to me. You can also choose two starters and a dessert for the same price. I also see the orders passing in front of me and I must admit that the starters are quite copious. To start, the country terrine is cooked and soft without being too greasy. Then the salmon back cooked on skin accompanied by spinach and leeks on a bed of rice is perfectly cooked just right and all this with a good flavored curry sauce. To finish I hesitated between an Alsatian apple rhubarb tart but the apple quince tart tatin won. In short, go there with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed with your meal. You can also buy cases of wine from the oldest house in Bordeaux on site at a price of €48.00 for 6 bottles to enjoy (in moderation) with friends.

19/06/2024: The experience was terrible! The service wasn’t nice at all. We were 9 to paid and 2 of us have been withdrawn twice for more than 30€ with only explanation from the waitress that she only have 7 tickets.

05/12/2024: The service is terrible and disrespectful. We had to wait a very long time before being served and the welcome was frosty despite the few people present that evening. Do you have to be a regular to get a smile and a friendly welcome? After several years of coming and hanging on despite the lack of human warmth, I threw in the towel this evening after taking two friends who were very uncomfortable with this exchange.

06/06/2024: The manager and staff here are excellent. The food was fresh, tasty, and well presented. Prices are reasonably. We dined here on 1st June for my 60th birthday, with the whole family, including 3 under 5 year old. A great family time together. Thank you!
