30/09/2026: So, I've always liked coming to this place for its simplicity and "brasserie" feel, but I was extremely disappointed... I didn't even want to take a picture, I was so annoyed... I ordered pasta carbonara... a super simple, super affordable dish, and yet... a disaster!! Even a pasta box was better, clearly a mush of pasta, but the worst part is that there must have been, no exaggeration, 5 or 6 tiny pieces of bacon in the entire plate!!! Please pass this on to the cook... and the pasta was swimming in 1 cm of cream... The onion pie as a starter was the same!! It used to be a normal-sized slice, but this time I got a third of the size I'm used to... The prices have taken a huge hit... 20 euros for two hamburgers or 23 euros for a burger... soon it'll be 10 euros for a pint... all this during a difficult economic crisis! However, the service was quick, but the order was a bit slow. Sorry for the bad review, but if it can help you

26/09/2026: The meal was very good and the waiter very pleasant, but when it came time to pay (Bruno) he made me feel very uncomfortable because my payment didn't go through the first time. So I left with a bad impression, even though everything else was perfect. A shame.

23/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome at this authentic bistro, where we stumbled upon it quite by chance. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. The food was simple yet well-prepared, and the service was very pleasant. It wasn't the latest trendy spot, but it's wonderful to still find places like this.

11/10/2026: We ate there on October 10th with four people. Three of us ordered the entrecôte. All three were tough, riddled with sinew, and almost impossible to chew. The quality of the meat was simply poor. Even the much-praised herb butter was bland. You could barely taste the herbs, and it was hardly seasoned. The fries, on the other hand, were excellent. This meal was very disappointing for us.

04/10/2026: Beautiful outdoor seating area. Food is tasty. Nicely presented. The price/quality ratio is OK. Not exceptional but certainly not in the exaggerated range. Good food for an acceptable price with a nice atmosphere. It’s not cheap but, with today’s market, it is not yet expensive. I’d go there again but the price means I cannot consider it as a frequent choice.

04/10/2026: Nice vibe on their back patio dining and friendly crew. The vegetarian stuffed veggies were exceptional, and the zucchini blossom beignets were delicate and accompanied by a light sauce. But the assiette du pêcheur was disappointing, especially for the price. The grilled scallops were delicious as were the gambas, but the very thin fish fillet was hidden in the breading, overcooked and flavorless.

11/10/2026: A very nice restaurant in a charming, secluded setting, close to Avenue de l'Hypoderme. Lovely atmosphere, excellent dishes, and attentive service. Highly recommended. Note: free private parking

30/09/2026: Good afternoon, My mother and I went to this restaurant for lunch because it looked nice from the outside. But to our surprise, we had an unpleasant experience. The first thing I asked the waiter was for a table for two, and then I asked where the restroom was. Since I don't speak French, I tried my best to express myself in English. The waiter who served us was dismissive and raised his voice, telling us there were no restrooms in the restaurant and rudely ushering us outside, telling us to go to the tourist office. Although it could have been a misunderstanding due to the language barrier, I doubt there really were no restrooms in the restaurant. I do not recommend this place because the customer service was appalling. The waiter showed a great deal of contempt for the customers. I have attached a photo of the facade so you know which restaurant I'm referring to.

25/09/2026: Too expensive for 2 menus and 2 glasses of wine.

26/09/2026: The mushroom risotto was excellent and arrived within minutes. The price-performance ratio was also very good.

14/09/2026: I had an hour for a quick bite between two business meetings. On the menu: surf and turf risotto: delicious!!! I couldn't resist the homemade profiteroles!!! A real treat! The servers were professional and friendly... I highly recommend it.

19/09/2026: What a wonderful restaurant. Set in a central square in the Bastide of Carcassonne, with both interior and exterior seating available. Wide ranging menu with vegetarian choices available, and knowledgeable waiting staff to guide. A very good wine list on hand with options to suit all tastes and wallets. The food was fresh, well prepared, and well presented,with generous portion sizes. Side dishes were also available. The staff were attentive, and helpful, but not overbearing (which is a plus). There when needed, and invisible when not. Most spoke a good level of English alongside other languages. They showed a good knowledge of the menu and a strong desire to help customers make good choices. The restaurant was busy all night attracting passing trade in the square and clearly popular with locals as well as tourists. Sitting outside on a warm September evening, had the benefit of people watching in a lively location. Definitely one to visit if on a day trip, or to frequent often if in Carcassonne for longer.

25/08/2026: As a regular morning customer, I find it unpleasant to hear the sales assistants complaining about their colleagues, their manager, and the customers… right there in the dining area, during service (even while serving customers… help!), or shouting from the preparation room to the sales floor… totally disrespectful. And what about the young woman serving at lunchtime who had the nerve to breathe on customers, puffing out her cheeks, and then reply, "I do what I want"? In short, the quality is average but typical of a chain restaurant; the service is best avoided. Go a kilometer away; there are much better options right next door.

24/10/2026: The gin and tonic was excellent, as always! We enjoyed a delicious sauerkraut. But it seems to me we were only served one portion for two people… Indeed, there were only two knackwurst sausages and a smoked sausage with just one piece of bacon; the cabbage was just a small portion, and we asked for more… It's not a big deal, as we're older and eat less. For dessert, ice cream. Usually, there's always too much.

24/10/2026: Super friendly service, good quality - everything perfectly prepared and served, dog-friendly, 9 people would gladly come again.
