04/01/2026: A very pleasant dinner, attentive service from Mr. and Mrs., delicious and expertly prepared local produce, a mixed platter, duck breast and confit with delicious sautéed potatoes and a truly enormous French toast, accompanied by a lovely little wine from Pic Saint-Loup! A wonderful discovery this Saturday, January 3rd, upon our arrival in Montauban.

10/11/2025: Good, hearty, quick, friendly, and reasonably priced. No complaints. Lots of regulars because it's in an industrial area, but that doesn't detract from this great place. It was on our way home, and we didn't regret the slight detour. The asparagus risotto was excellent.

17/01/2026: Simple, family-run, quick and cheap, this brasserie offers quality food, as evidenced by the excellent rib steak we ate, and the service is warm.

30/01/2026: Despite some differences compared to the Jean-Mar Morendini of his time, the setting is pleasant and the food enjoyable. However, if I may add a word of caution, the bartender (manager) is extremely pushy, especially with women, despite repeated requests to stop. He clearly doesn't care about our requests; the mental well-being of others is apparently of no concern to him, while his staff seems entirely at his beck and call.

27/01/2026: I tried this restaurant for lunch and was very disappointed. It's really not what you'd expect from an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant. The place is very small and the selection is extremely limited: only one type of spring roll, very few varieties of sushi, and the absence of staples of this type of restaurant, like cheese skewers, for example. The sushi, in particular, seemed to be made with stale, even frozen, ingredients, with a clear lack of variety and a taste that left much to be desired. The value for money is clearly disappointing and far below what you can find elsewhere. For the same price, especially in all-you-can-eat restaurants in Bourges, there's a much wider selection and, above all, much better quality food.

08/02/2026: Restaurant very well located facing the sea. Good food and quality dishes, but nothing exceptional and very high prices. The manager is full of himself! The waitresses are pleasant and friendly. A shame for a restaurant that claims to be upscale and uses paper napkins. We won't be back.

01/12/2024: We tasted a delicious tea followed by a non-alcoholic cocktail: ginger, grapefruit & cherry. A delight. Then the delicious cordon bleu with its puree, and to finish the vanilla ice cream cookies Quality service, homemade cuisine, affordable prices, subdued atmosphere. Thank you for this good time! We will come back to taste the other dishes, that’s for sure <3

19/10/2025: The veal was excellent, as was the local wine that accompanied it. The "Assiette de fromage" unfortunately only consisted of two cheeses, but it was very good with the fig. A very nice location in a very nice town. Unfortunately, the waitress gave us the impression that we were disturbing her while she was doing nothing.

12/09/2025: The food is average, lacking in refinement, but expensive (starter €20), and the staff is unmotivated. Why the restaurant is mentioned in Gault Millau remains a mystery.

02/12/2025: This was our second visit to Surcouf and we love it. Service was friendly and efficient and all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Duck pâté, fish sharing board, sole and steak all fabulous… Thank you!
