It's rare these days to find such a warm welcome, and the absolute best is service that matches the quality of the cuisine and the dishes, prepared with the utmost care. All at an extraordinary price. The setting is wonderfully pleasant, relaxing, and tastefully decorated. The waiter was incredibly kind, attentive, and considerate, taking great care of his customers. The prices are more than reasonable. These days, it's important to recognize a job well done with great professionalism. And supporting small businesses with expertise is key to keeping them going. That's why I offer you my sincerest congratulations... Keep up the good work, don't change a thing... Congratulations to everyone, including those behind the scenes in the kitchen... I recommend you without hesitation...

05/06/2026: A very warm welcome, lovely decor with numerous photos and texts by writers in the stairwell and dining room. Each room is named after a writer with photos on the walls (we had Simone de Beauvoir). Truly charming and welcoming.

19/05/2026: A very pleasant hotel (dedicated to literature) in the center of La Charité-sur-Loire. The managers are very friendly. There's a shelter for bicycles inside the courtyard, and a small, cozy, and quiet outdoor area (unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to enjoy it). Our room (Molière) was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfasts were very generous, and the manager was attentive to guests' needs. We were able to park without any problem in front of the hotel. We spent several nights in this peaceful hotel after spending days exploring the surrounding area. A lovely find.

11/05/2026: A lovely pub with a beautiful setting, both inside and out, and very attractive interior decor. There aren't as many traditional Flemish games available inside as in other pubs. The carbonnade was a bit of a disappointment; it lacked sweetness and was rather bland. The Welsh rarebit, however, was very good. They have a great beer selection! The service was a little cold and the food was a bit slow to arrive.

10/07/2026: The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money. Great atmosphere, with occasional themed evenings. Perfect for a drink in the late afternoon/early evening or for lunch!

11/09/2025: We had a wonderful time at Ferme Couderc at the end of summer, enjoying one of the themed evenings hosted by Antoine and Stéphanie. We went on a Tuesday for the tapas evening. A beautiful platter was served, featuring a Norman specialty. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for this friendly and relaxed experience.

01/09/2025: We give this cottage plenty of positive points: - Pets are welcome and well received - Single-story cottage, perfect for little ones, suitcases, etc. - Absolute peace and quiet and the view of the surrounding countryside from the large terrace - The decor isn't the best, but it's more than compensated for by the peace and quiet and the view - Cars are parked at the entrance, so children can move around safely - Gourmet meals and breakfasts And then there's the swimming pool, perfect for both children and adults, secure Very pleasant welcome, ready to help Just one small drawback: the lack of a washing machine in the large cottage.

17/07/2026: I'm 35 minutes from here... Some good friends from the Dordogne told me about this place. In a word, magnificent! The owners are really friendly. At reception, a couple from Fontenouille (Burgundy region) manage all the services. For €10, you get a lovely pitch with electricity, water, and a swimming pool. Showers are €2. An idyllic setting. If you're looking for something better, look elsewhere.

13/06/2026: Very nice clean place, I will point out straight away, that I've marked the atmosphere down because it was karaoke night when I visited and I hate karaoke. I was however able to sit outside away from the karaoke in the BBQ area 😋 The food option on my visit was a BBQ due to it being a Saturday night (and the karaoke) so I'm unable to comment on the normal week night menus. Service could be improved if the boss man concentrated on the bar, the food or the serving, he has plenty of staff but wants to do it all 😳 One last little dig, it was known I was there to parkup for the weekend, have a few beers, and some food, but I had my drink served in a plastic cup due to the karaoke (did I mention I don't like karaoke 🤣🤣). Definitely worth a visit 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Warning, the last video contains karaoke 🤣🤣

12/04/2026: Overall, the brasserie is decent, but the food is rather mediocre. It can still be a pleasant place for a quick bite and a chat with friends. However, the service was truly disappointing. On this particular Sunday, it was clear the waitress didn't want to be there: no smile, little politeness, and no particular attention to detail. As a manager, it would be essential to hold a team meeting to address this and improve the customer experience.

01/05/2026: Well, it's not my favorite kebab place. I don't like meat at all, and there's no choice of spit-roasted meat. I only go there occasionally for my dad; he lives nearby. But it's a shame, it lacks a bit of a smile and a warm welcome. As for the kebab itself, it's a matter of taste. Personally, I don't like the half-round bread and the frozen meat mixture; I prefer bread baked on-site and homemade spit-roasted meat. The price is still quite expensive: €7 for a basic kebab, not very full, and without fries or a drink, outside the city center. It's not the worst, but it's far from the best. It has the advantage of being the only kebab shop in this area, which is why it's staying in business, but it's not a renowned kebab shop. It's just the local spot on the side of the road when you're coming from the opposite direction from Mulhouse.

20/09/2025: Excellent! The French toast is delicious, the best I've ever tasted! I really like the atmosphere, can't wait to go back and eat there! 😊 This review was written in May. September update: this restaurant is closed despite being listed as open.
