25/07/2026: Avoid Brasserie l'Ovale at all costs! This was my second time there. The owner is incredibly unpleasant and thinks he can get away with anything. He served our main course before our aperitif. No knife or glass. On the plus side, he did offer me my cocktail 🍹 lol. Yes!!! It's unacceptable to have received your main course before your aperitif, and it was practically cold.

21/07/2026: Twenty minutes after we placed our order, the waiter realized he'd forgotten to send it to the kitchen. As a result, we weren't served for an hour. My steak tartare was tasteless; I didn't even finish it. I think Etchebest should pay a visit to this restaurant; they've got a lot to live up to.

16/05/2026: A very warm welcome; everyone is extremely kind, from reception to the restaurant and breakfast, and they offer helpful advice. The inn is very quiet, and the good restaurant is attentive to guests' needs. My daughter has food allergies, and they immediately offered an alternative. The beautiful English garden, along with the availability of foosball, ping pong, and badminton, is a real bonus. I only gave the rooms 3 stars because we stayed in the annex, and both rooms could use some updating (stained walls and floor), so they weren't very clean, and the pillows need replacing. There was a lot of condensation in the bathroom, but no mold, so the room was still clean. However, the bedding was very comfortable, with immaculate white sheets. Free parking is available. If we return to the area, we will definitely stay at this quiet inn again, where we felt right at home. A big thank you to everyone! 😀

11/02/2026: The food is great, but if they don't show you the menu with prices excluding daily specials for a sirloin steak of less than 150g with fat in it and they tell you it's 24 euros, I can tell you that's excessive, very disappointed.

21/07/2026: The thing is staring blankly at the scenery, looking depressed. Be careful, it sulks when an adult speaks to it. Don't forget to keep the other one on a leash. It doesn't look very professional if it starts attacking people. I sincerely hope we haven't decided to rule the roost in Caen. I see that emails have been permanently closed, and Instagram accounts blocked. These people who can actually write are a pain. 😌

03/01/2026: If you do your children the honor of buying them "Potato Pops," they'll have the pleasure of reading "CUM" on the packaging. Those with even a basic understanding of English will know why this is problematic… Anyway, the place is perfect for a family setting… let's not even mention the drunks in the corner of the bar who talk very loudly and even seem to disturb the staff with their highly inappropriate remarks; I feel sorry for them.

29/12/2025: A pleasant, convivial spot where it's lovely to relax overlooking Place Morgan, enjoying a delightful little café that's sunny in winter and shaded in summer. The staff and owner take excellent care of their customers, making this an ideal place for drinks with friends. Thank you for your hospitality!

18/05/2026: Rancid meat. Very questionable taste. Impossible to eat. A full plate was sent back to the kitchen... No gesture of goodwill or apology. Then... at the register, the woman was the epitome of unprofessionalism. Avoid at all costs.

22/04/2026: The service was poor from the start, and then we ordered a Leffe (being connoisseurs), but we were served a low-quality beer that was definitely not a Leffe, for the exorbitant price of €9 for two 25cl beers. You should really check your beer stock before serving the wrong things to the wrong people.
