28/04/2026: Good hotel where I stay regularly. Friendly and attentive welcome. Clean rooms, although a bit dated. Pleasant setting and easy access and parking. Generous breakfast. No complaints.

15/04/2026: Excellent welcome. We were upgraded because there was a 5-minute wait for our room. The restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. We will definitely return and recommend it. Sincerely

16/06/2026: Well-located restaurant in the center of Bourganeuf. The dining room is nicely decorated and very quiet! There was an unpleasant cold draft, even though we were right next to the heater! The waitress was unfriendly, grumpy, and huffing and puffing. The pizza oven wasn't hot at 12:10 PM, so there was a long wait for our pizzas. The menu was so-so, but the prices were reasonable. The service was too slow, which is a shame. (Arrived at 12:00 PM. They said we should leave by 1:00 PM at the latest, but we left at 1:15 PM) Our meal: Avocado and surimi Fish was good, but the potatoes were unappetizing Tartiflette pizza: the crust was undercooked, and the potatoes were canned. No cream base for the tartiflette pizza Floating island: the egg white was too sweet.

13/06/2026: The owners were very friendly, but one of the waitresses must have been having an off day. The meal was decent, nothing special. The flank steak was far from tender. The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was clean.

28/04/2026: We came for lunch two days in a row, as a group of three, without a reservation. Even though it was busy when we arrived, they did their best to find us a table and we received a very warm welcome. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We recommend making a reservation if you can.

16/01/2026: New owner and new name. The new owner, who is friendly, offers a menu of traditional dishes made with local ingredients (from nearby farms). I stopped by at 11:30 am and it smelled delicious. I encourage you to go and see for yourself.

28/10/2025: I'm in the restaurant right now. It's not my first time here; I eat at a lot of restaurants about once a month because of my job. I'm always warmly welcomed with a smile, and the food is good and fresh. And it's not expensive at all. I highly recommend it. If you want to eat well, have a good time, and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, stop by.

01/07/2026: In the context of my father's funeral, my mother and I reserved a space at this establishment four days in advance to accommodate our loved ones after the ceremony. The manager had confirmed to us, before our departure, that everything was properly registered. On the day of the funeral, upon our arrival, nothing was ready. The only waitress present wasn't even aware of our reservation. Fortunately, she demonstrated remarkable professionalism, calling on a colleague and the cook for help. She did everything she could to rectify this situation, for which they were not responsible. A huge thank you to them. The next day, I returned to ask the manager for an explanation. I was met with utter disdain. She simply stated that she was waiting for a confirmation call, without acknowledging the problem, without offering the slightest apology, and without showing even a modicum of empathy, despite the circumstances. Mistakes happen. On the other hand, the lack of a sense of responsibility and consideration towards grieving customers is, for me, unacceptable.

26/07/2026: A little disappointed with the food, which has changed quite a bit over the years. However, there's nothing to complain about regarding the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff.

23/07/2026: Meh! The salad wasn't fresh, it was practically past its prime 😔 The waitresses were very welcoming. 28 euros? It's worth 18 euros, if that!

14/06/2026: Visible from the road, the charming hamlet, perfect for exploring on foot, and the impressive remains of the Cistercian abbey are well worth a visit. It's a shame there's no historical information about the site, even though the panels recounting the villagers' stories are very interesting. Definitely worth discovering in July during the "Joutes and Troubadours" festival! 😉

24/12/2025: The food was decent, but the service was mediocre. A major drawback is that they don't open the bottles in front of customers, the wine doesn't match the bottle, and it's a real embarrassment to end up with white wine in a red bottle 😂 hence my rating.

11/07/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us. We were very disappointed. The quiche and salad (I had to search for the bacon bits, it was sickeningly rich with too much cream) were delicious. My husband asked for bread for his saucy dish (we're still waiting for it). Then we ordered gourmet coffees, and I had to ask for them twice... and the second time, they told me they had to make the coffee... which was served after 40 minutes.

05/07/2026: Not a very good experience. Touristy restaurant. The baby squid wasn't bad, but they were practically fighting each other on the plate. The warm goat cheese salad? Let me tell you, the plate was practically empty, just three tiny pieces of cheese because it wasn't real goat cheese. They barely represented a slice of goat cheese. And don't even get me started on the rest of the plate... the "serano" was just poor quality cured ham. Do they even know what "serano" means? I have my doubts. Usually, the portions are generous and filling, but here you're left hungry. And the price? Run away! Three soft drinks, a bottle of Abatilles still water, one baby squid, a salad, and a mussel = €76 + €2 for the waiter 😉 The only positive point was that the mussels were good; our daughter ate her fill. But the price was way too high. What a shame.

04/07/2026: The tuna steak on mashed potatoes and vegetables was excellent, and the portion was very generous. Unbeatable value for money. The curried mussels were delicious. The half-liter jug ​​of white wine was also very good and more than reasonably priced.
