30/09/2026: # The Meat, Cannes — A disastrous experience and a real tourist trap! Yesterday, we had dinner as a family at The Meat restaurant in Old Cannes, an establishment that bills itself as a meat restaurant. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had abroad. The meat was simply awful: undercooked, poor quality, with pieces that were impossible to chew, as tough as shoe soles. Neither the appetizers, main courses, nor desserts lived up to the restaurant's supposed standards or its reputation on TripAdvisor and TheFork. The service was just as catastrophic. We waited about an hour and a half for each course. Two servers for such a large dining room is clearly insufficient. Many customers, after waiting 30 to 40 minutes without even receiving a menu or any attention from the staff, simply decided to get up and leave. We ended up asking for the bill ourselves, just so we could leave the place as quickly as possible. The food was deplorable, the service extremely slow, and there was a complete lack of attention to customers. This restaurant is far from deserving its reputation and the expectations it raises. If you're looking for a pleasant family evening, quality meat, and decent service, we strongly advise you to avoid this place. In our experience, The Meat is a real disappointment and a tourist trap. We sincerely regret spending our evening there.

A lovely terrace for summer, a very warm welcome, efficient service with kindness and smiles, a relaxed atmosphere, and elegant dishes that delight both the eyes and the palate! I recently enjoyed an excellent cod dish there. This brasserie, located next to the Eaubonne market, is a must-visit in Eaubonne. I'll definitely be back! Béatrice

19/07/2026: The staff wasn't very welcoming, the gaming tables were overcrowded, and the dealers didn't manage anything. The toilets were disgusting. The location next to the train station and its crowds of intoxicated people doesn't help make this a pleasant place.

02/10/2026: I appreciate the friendly, unpretentious atmosphere that still exists (I've known this place for decades!), the really pleasant location and terrace (right on the lake), and the very kind waitress (often very busy, but always giving her all). The menu has expanded, and the pizzas are very good. Personally, I'm not a fan of the AI ​​playlist (often blues, which works well in restaurants and most customers appreciate, sure, but in AI mode it's a bit repetitive and annoying for those who actually listen). I hope this place will maintain its welcoming spirit 😉

29/09/2026: Everything took a very long time; the order wasn't taken until half an hour later. With the chicken skewer, there was only curry, mayo, or mustard. The chicken skewer was so dry that it was almost impossible to eat. When we complained, the response was a shrug. The pizza was decent, though. A lot of the crust was burnt.

19/09/2026: Room 1 upstairs: a mixed experience. Access is via a rather narrow staircase, which can be surprising with large luggage. The shower is very compact and somewhat cramped. There is no air conditioning, which made the room hot all night. During our stay, the hotel was undergoing renovations, with a noticeable, but likely temporary, smell of paint.

02/11/2026: We had known about this place for a year and decided to go on Saturday, November 31st. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience, which is a shame because the setting was really nice, as we love old Senlis. We ordered our galettes, which arrived completely upside down, with the back of the galette facing us. Normally, in these restaurants, they're presented so you can see the filling inside, except for my daughter, whose galette was the right way up. That was already a problem. Our table was upstairs, facing the restrooms. I had to get up three times to close the door behind people who weren't closing it. The staff also had to close it as they walked by. My wife was facing the door, and I can assure you that seeing an open restroom door while you're eating is not the most pleasant thing. As for dessert, we ordered two ice creams: my daughter had a butter crepe, and my wife had a flambéed banana crepe. The ice creams were good, my daughter's crepe was satisfactory, and my wife's flambéed crepe was a small casserole. Practically more than half the rum was poured over the crepe. I can guarantee you that the top of the crepe was inedible; there was far too much rum, and she couldn't eat it completely. The menu was too strong, and we suspected as much given the amount that was poured. And you can't say it was my wife who was making it up because my mother and I tasted it; we couldn't eat the whole piece. It's a shame because the setting was truly beautiful. As I told you, we love old Senlis and small restaurants like this one. We don't think we'll be back. As for the waiter, he's not at fault at all, and you are really very pleasant. The only complaint was regarding the kitchen service; they bring in toilets that people don't close right in front of a table, which isn't pleasant.

26/10/2026: This crêperie is a mere shadow of its former self. All the dishes were disappointing, both in quality and quantity. The service was utterly unprofessional, disorganized, and unworthy of a restaurant. The dining room is in a deplorable state, the restrooms are dirty, and the atmosphere is outdated. The ice cream is supermarket quality, and ultimately, it's far too expensive for such mediocrity. Never again.

03/09/2026: Through word of mouth, we discovered this lovely, well-run establishment, managed by Bertrand and Théo, whose cuisine is truly exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the daily special, a veal hanger steak, which was absolutely delicious! Everything is perfect: the parking, the setting, the comfortable dining rooms, the service, and the food itself. We will undoubtedly be back soon for another delicious meal... at a very reasonable price. Thank you.

31/08/2026: As a regular guest of the Village Motel, I always return on my way home from vacation and find it absolutely fantastic 😍 in terms of service, comfort, cleanliness, and tranquility – "for me, it's my little paradise" – and so far, I'm referring to the hotel itself 🫡. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of dining at this lovely restaurant, which is conveniently located next to the hotel so I wouldn't have to move my car. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by a man wearing glasses, "the Owner," with a rather frosty welcome 🥶. At first, I didn't understand his attitude, so I thought I might just be imagining things. Once seated, the owner himself came to take my order 🤔 and was quite condescending. Of course, I kept my cool because I'm well-mannered. After being served by this gentleman, I politely asked him for salt, and he raised his voice in front of all the customers seated on the terrace around me, saying, "I hope we'll manage 🤣." I was shocked ☹️ because I only asked for salt, not the moon 🌙. Furthermore, I'd like to inform you, sir, that the customer is king. - My beef fillet that I ordered was excellent, as was the pepper sauce ❤️. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly, just as I wanted it. - The location and decor of the restaurant were also magnificent ❤️. - The other servers were also incredibly welcoming ❤️ - I regret not being served by the restaurant staff, who were all smiling and attentive to the tables they were serving, except for my table and that infamous owner 😆 ⭐⭐⭐Dear Sir, if you don't enjoy interacting with customers, or if you're simply tired, please take a seat and rest, because you are damaging the image of your restaurant and the efforts of the other servers who work so hard ❤️ I hope I won't be served by you on my next visit in 2027 🤩 because everything was perfect except for your behavior. I thank the entire restaurant team who give their all, except for you, dear Sir 😘

28/08/2026: The place is really trendy, the staff are very helpful, friendly, and attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy my meal (it was a set menu for the evening).

24/09/2026: I ate three different kinds of mussels, all too salty, which was a shame. The service was friendly.

18/10/2026: The service was incredibly slow... I arrived at 8:30 pm, and the first course didn't arrive until 10 pm... and even then, I was left without cutlery because the waitress forgot about it. And dessert? A "café gourmand" with three petits fours and a scoop of ice cream took 30 minutes to arrive. Having been used to the professional service at the Firminy location, I was very disappointed here. Fortunately, the food was quite good.

17/10/2026: Catastrophic. The children had to wait two hours for a simple burger, and as for the bistro menu, you have to wait three hours between the starter and dessert, and without any explanation...
