04/01/2026: A lovely spot for a delicious afternoon treat. They have excellent homemade cakes with a wide selection: carrot cake, lemon cake, cookies, muffins... there's something for everyone. The hot drinks are also very indulgent and comforting. I loved the atmosphere, simple and pleasant. Expect to pay around €5 to €6 for a drink and a snack. I highly recommend this place!

All the dishes are homemade with fresh ingredients. Don't miss the homemade speculoos tart, a secret recipe of the establishment.

06/03/2026: A must-try! A cozy chalet atmosphere with a roaring fireplace perfect for grilling. The varied dishes are generous and flavorful. Kudos to the grill master who is on top of things all evening, serving up remarkably high-quality grilled meats cooked to perfection. We were served by Benjamin, who was incredibly kind and efficient (thanks for the chili pepper!). It's worth noting that they also offer mountain specialties (raclette, etc.) in addition to grilled meats (ribs, prime rib, lamb shank, etc.). Reservations are practically essential due to the well-deserved popularity of this restaurant.

It's a shame my phone battery died; I couldn't take any souvenir photos. I plan to return soon, despite the high price of the dishes.

Atmosphere/Decor: A pleasant decor with paintings/canvases on the walls, but above all, an almost reverent calm that makes you feel like time has stood still. Service: The waiter was very friendly and pleasant.

21/02/2026: What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was! We only knew of it by name and had never actually tried it before! And what a fantastic discovery! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end! The service was impeccable! The courses flowed seamlessly and at a perfect pace, and the intimate, dimly lit atmosphere with ample space between diners made us feel truly pampered! A huge thank you to the entire team! I think I even dreamt about the marinated sea bream flambéed with absinthe!… absolutely delicious!

24/02/2026: A restaurant in serious decline The food is bland, greasy, heavy, lacking finesse, and the cooking is poorly executed. The dishes are swimming in flavorless sauces; the sweetbreads are overcooked, practically minced, and swimming in a tasteless sauce. The amuse-bouches are lukewarm. There's no culinary identity, no technical skill in the kitchen. The owner's behavior is authoritarian and haughty; she would be more at home in a company cafeteria. If you don't choose one of the daily specials, she'll give you a sour look for the rest of your meal. The prices are far too high for the quality of the food served. This restaurant has changed a lot, and unfortunately, it has regressed considerably; the refined cuisine that used to be enjoyed is completely gone!

11/02/2026: It had been a few years since we'd last visited La Maison des Bois... and we were delighted to find that the culinary experience was still exceptional. There were no unpleasant surprises, quite the opposite... only the finest, most luxurious ingredients. You can savor scallops with caviar and truffles. Simply divine. The venison loin with redcurrants was also outstanding. A special mention goes to the chef, who is equally at home in the dining room and the kitchen. We appreciated being served by him and receiving such thoughtful touches. A thousand thanks to him for the time he dedicated to us, and to the housekeeper as well. We had an extraordinary evening.
