15/12/2024: No trip to Megève is complete for us without an evening at the Refuge du Calvaire. This is our ‘go to’ place for fondue and raclette. On our recent visit however we chose to have steaks and both the Chateaubriand filet and the Argentine Angus were superb. Desserts were delicious, especially the Crepe Suzette which was prepared at the table with all due drama.
The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and the welcome is genuine. A firm favourite of visitors and locals alike.
13/12/2024: No trip to Megève is complete for us without an evening spent at the Refuge du Calvaire. The welcome is warm and the restaurant is a favourite of visitors and locals alike. (Our fellow diners consisted of a large table of local mountain guides on a ‘works’ night out!) The fondue, raclette and other local dishes are delicious. Last evening, however, we chose to have steaks and both the ‘Chateaubriand’ filet and Argentine Angus were excellent. Desserts were amazing especially the Crèpe Suzette which was prepared with all due drama at the table. We eat at this restaurant regularly and recommend it highly.

05/07/2025: At the end of the holiday we had dinner here. We had the 3-course lunch menu. We were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.
25/06/2025: Excellent dinner, from the appetizer to the petits fours. Sweetbreads to die for, the rest is just as good, bravo to the chef. Magnificent wine list. Very pleasant service and attentive sommelier. Thank you very much, see you soon.

02/08/2024: This is a great wine and champagne bar, with delicious tapas snacks. Most of the wines and champagnes are by the bottle. However, on both our visits we ordered by the glass and, though the selection by glass was limited, they were excellent. The service is friendly and professional. We went back the next day because our experience was so good!

21/09/2024: Discovered this restaurant on September 20....pleasant place on the banks of the Blavet...very cool atmosphere...very friendly service, lots of humor...without forgetting of course the cuisine...the variety of the sea is excellent, the fish is hot and the plate is very beautiful...we succumb to the pistachio cabbage and the crème brûlée...in short, this restaurant is worth the detour...

13/09/2024: Father and son dinner. Excellent friendly and efficient service. Lovely ambience. Seated promptly. Our main végétarien galettes and desert crepes arrived swiftly and were extremely well presented and beautifully tasty accompanied by ‘cidre traditionalé’. Absolutely a lovely and most enjoyable dining experience. Hope to return to this lovely restaurant soon.

Excellent quality of food (gravelax salmon as a starter - grayling on stewed leeks - ativao chocolate for dessert) - my friends were also delighted with this little gourmet getaway.

22/08/2024: A great address: the dishes are all very tasty with a special mention for the pieces of beef (tender, perfectly cooked whether you take it medium or rare). The children's menus are just as high quality as those of the parents! And we also discovered good Savoyard wines. The welcome is very pleasant, discreet but so distinguished. And the room is absolutely charming.
