05/07/2026: Good restaurant, good food, good atmosphere. It's a shame we had the unpleasant surprise of being charged an extra €13 per person for the live music without being informed before the bill. We had made a reservation, and there was no mention of this extra charge at reception or when we booked.

13/05/2026: A few years ago, this was a truly wonderful place. Today, it's clear they've lost their way and don't know how to retain their clientele. There's no consistency in their menu. I think they're completely off track with their culinary approach. Go back to good, healthy, classic food. It's a shame they don't restore the waterwheels.

09/08/2026: We had a very pleasant stay at the Logis Hôtel du Sauvage. If you're looking for an overnight stay in La Ferté Gaucher, look no further.

19/07/2026: Excessive price for what was offered. A small triple room at €137, with a small bottle of water for three people... but clean. A constant dripping sound kept us awake all night. Breakfast was €13 per adult and €7 for children, with only a small selection table. Two pieces of bread, no plates, we ate off our placemats... no choice at all considering the price. We paid €200 for one night and three breakfasts in La Ferté-Gaucher, which isn't exactly a seaside resort... The day before our stay, the hotel charged us for the room without warning; we suspected fraud. And all this without any welcome whatsoever: a code sent by SMS, a stapled sheet of paper with our room number and access card. However, the reception staff were there to take the balance payment after breakfast. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. For that price, you can get so much better. And for much less, too.

17/05/2026: Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the food; we were forgotten outside and left in a corner without ever being offered a table.

02/05/2026: We just had drinks and waffles. As for the wait, they were busy, so that's normal.

19/08/2026: I've been there about ten times and I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is good; I particularly like the starters with white pudding or andouille sausage, and the main courses are also very good. They also offer generous vegetarian options. It's relatively simple and accessible cuisine, just the way I like it.

14/07/2026: I'm very happy with the menu. The daily specials are well-suited to the different temperatures. The staff is very friendly and open to conversation. If you're looking for a nice, affordable place to eat lunch or other meals during the week, don't hesitate.

09/07/2026: A large, comfortable, clean, and... kid-friendly establishment—well, almost! There are board games for them. Adults are welcome too, and they certainly believe it: there's a scratch-off table, a millionaire's table, and a billionaire's table (whose location I won't mention). The other addictions on offer aren't part of the family-friendly educational activities: "French Eyes Bigger Than Your Stomach," "Nicotine Queen"... and other cherished descents into hell. 23/03/2026: Disappointed by the owner's attitude! After coming every lunchtime for two months to have a drink (since there's not much else in the village), we were refused two glasses of tap water this afternoon! Very surprising, especially since we had ordered drinks two hours before lunchtime... In short, we won't be coming back for lunch. It's a shame, as we have construction work going on nearby for several months! The Fiber Team

14/04/2026: We always have a great time at Karim's. The food is absolutely delicious, we enjoy a drink together in a relaxed atmosphere... it's always very peaceful. I love this place, I go there with complete confidence, and I'll keep going back as often as I can. Come and try his amazing couscous! Fantastic place! I love it!

26/01/2026: A nice private mini-hotel near Paris. The location is excellent, with the RER train station and bus stop nearby. Paris is easily and quickly accessible by public transport. Unlike Paris, there are no huge crowds of tourists here, making it quiet and safe. There's a small bar/bistro on the ground floor. You can have breakfast and lunch right there. There's parking in the courtyard, so your car will be safe. The hotel and bistro are managed by one person, and he's simply fantastic. Always smiling and welcoming, he exudes a positive vibe. He speaks both French and English. He even helped us communicate on the phone, resolving various issues, as we don't speak French. Huge respect to him. The hotel locks at night, so to access the rooms, we were given two keys: one for the hallway door and one for our room. The room was clean, the bed linen was fresh, and the internet worked reliably. We slept well in peace and quiet. And then we went on to explore beautiful France. After all these years, I have fond memories of this place. We were there in October 2013.

27/09/2026: Disappointed, it's a shame that it was impossible to get a drink after 5:30 pm on Sunday. We could have left before 6 pm.

16/09/2026: It closed at 12:30, even though Google said it should be open. It would be really helpful if people actually kept their listings up to date. Therefore, one star, because less isn't possible.

24/10/2026: The meat is of very good quality. The servers are lovely. But the service is much too fast; on Saturday nights you need to take your time. The drinks are too expensive.

24/10/2026: I ate at Le Pilote restaurant. I found the drinks really overpriced for standard beverages. The meat was very good, but also quite expensive. I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The service was very pleasant, though.

11/10/2026: Very disappointed... I arrived at 7:30 pm, a customer had just left, there was still bread on the shelf, and yet the employee refused to serve me even though I was allowed into the bakery. This behavior is completely unprofessional, especially considering the fierce competition less than a kilometer away for the past three years.
