17/08/2026: The place is beautiful, very clean, tastefully decorated, and the restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, our experience was truly marred by a welcome that was completely subpar for the establishment. Upon arrival, my husband spontaneously helped for several minutes to close the parasols, which were threatening to blow away in the wind. The person present, who seemed to be in charge of the hotel, didn't even thank us. We immediately had the unpleasant feeling of being a nuisance rather than being welcomed. The pool was initially closed due to the wind, which we completely understood. We were then politely informed that we could finally use it after the leaves had been cleared away. However, the cushions on the sun loungers had already been removed, and even though the wind had died down, no one came to replace them or offered to do so. It's a real shame because the setting is superb and the food very good, but in a hotel of this caliber, one also expects attention, warmth, and the feeling of being genuinely welcomed. Unfortunately, that's what we missed most during our stay.

22/07/2026: We cannot detract from our stay solely because of the hotel's roadside location, which was undoubtedly the only negative point of our trip. The rooms were very nice, the hotel and restaurant are magnificent, and the terrace is exceptional. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet and the bistro-style restaurant several times, each time with equal pleasure. The staff was charming and contributed to the success of our stay. Despite an unfortunate unforeseen event that forced us to leave, we have very fond memories of our stay. Thank you very much.

03/10/2026: I feel sorry for dishonest people, which is the case with the manager of this bar. I ordered a coffee, and after serving it, I was told there was a €10 minimum charge for credit card payments. Obviously, this isn't written anywhere, and there's no doubt that locals aren't subject to the same tax. A manager who makes sure you don't feel welcome; the message is clear, I won't be back.

31/10/2026: I went to Flunch and was very surprised by the service. The employee, Nour, took the liberty of addressing me informally, looking me up and down, and sighing when I simply told her I wanted a Nutella crepe. I find this behavior truly RIDICULOUS, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. I hope this will be taken into account, as this is not the image an establishment should project to its customers… Honestly, I don't understand how someone like that, who is in daily contact with customers, can still be employed.

24/10/2026: Disrespectful staff. The man handling the till this evening, October 23rd (dressed in black), is completely unprofessional with customers. He barely says hello, speaks very curtly, and then, in front of customers waiting to be served in the kitchen, he openly says, "We get the customers we deserve, they're all the losers from Thionville." It's shameful to speak like that to the customers right there. A few minutes later, still in front of the customers, he goes and criticizes the cooks, saying that it annoys him because "you're not exactly a top-notch team." Sir, if you're a manager, know that this isn't how you manage a team. You think you're above everyone else, but you're not running a multinational corporation. You're simply disrespectful and deserve to be at the very bottom of the ladder.

14/05/2026: I stumbled upon this lovely place. I ordered a burger! Wow! Absolutely fantastic! A must-visit!

30/03/2026: I was quite surprised to walk into this bar and find a huge Confederate flag. The "Texas" decor in a bar in Burgundy is one thing, but not the flag. In case you didn't know, it's the flag of the Confederate States during the American Civil War, states that united the slave-owning, white supremacist South. We find it rather problematic to display that. Otherwise, the service was fine.

25/06/2026: €11 = Tasteless and poorly filled tacos. The meat was defrosted and undercooked (mushy tenders that weren't crispy at all). The sour cream was lumpy with a bitter taste, and the sauce... nonexistent. I couldn't finish it; I was very hungry, but the taco gave me a stomach ache.

05/06/2026: The service is awful. They barely respond to greetings, as if they're trying to get rid of you. The kitchen is unhygienic, with a cook spitting and a server who wasn't even aware of who it was. Their tacos have no flavor.

07/06/2026: I had a very harrowing train journey with a serious accident on the line, and I had to intervene as a medical professional. So, after that event, I needed some comfort. Epikur had caught my eye for a long time, and I thought it was the right moment. The place looked nice, and the menu really had everything I like. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try anything. Upon entering, I was told they were sold out. I left feeling quite perplexed because it was just 2 PM, and all the chairs were already on the tables, the counter was empty, and the place was supposed to close at 2:30 PM. It's hard to believe that in a restaurant-café, there wouldn't even be a single drink left 30 minutes before closing time. I went back a second time, and the response was curt, with eyes rolled; I could tell I'd really been inconveniencing them. I'm sorry to have bothered you so much; just think about the image you're projecting. And if you're really being cleaned out before closing time, it would be wise to adjust your hours.

17/04/2026: Excellent cuisine featuring fresh ingredients, bold flavor combinations, and beautiful presentation. All at affordable prices. A highly recommended spot!

16/06/2026: Friendly welcome, good selection of beers. For a café/bar near a train station, I think it's decent. However, the wait for service was very long, even though there were only four of us in the entire place. My meat was dry, even though it was meat in sauce. There were lots of little flies trying to get inside, which was annoying.

25/04/2026: While waiting for a TGV, I ordered steak tartare and chocolate mousse. What seems like standard fare in a brasserie. I was served something obviously mass-produced and clearly refrigerated. The mousse also seemed to be as mass-produced as they come, but the kind you'd find at a motorway service station.

24/10/2026: Overall, it was a bad culinary experience: To compare, I ordered a dish I absolutely love at another restaurant, the beef Rossini, and what a disappointment (especially for the exact same price): - The beef was German, too sinewy and fatty. - It was cooked properly. - The porcini mushroom sauce had no interesting flavor (and was far too greasy). - The small piece of foie gras was good. - The small salad with two cherry tomatoes from a supermarket was served on the plate, with the amount of dressing—I'll let you be the judge! It should have been served in a small bowl on the side; it costs next to nothing... - The fries were good. The wine, described as organic and good, was too alcoholic for me to finish. - The bread was cold, straight from the fridge. Generally, too much sauce masks imperfections, but here they were very noticeable. - Dry, rubbery, and incredibly oily - Failed aioli €5 for one without Pellegrino, €4.20 for a soda, come on...) €60 for 2 people, I don't recommend it.

17/06/2026: Spoilt for choice in this lovely coastal town but this one is absolutely 5stars staff are so friendly and helpful service was top class very happy to have eaten there twice

15/02/2026: We booked a table for two last night, February 14th, 2026, for Valentine's Day... We arrived and found the door locked! 😡 Imagine our surprise! We had come all the way from Concarneau. How could they leave their customers stranded without any warning?! What a lack of professionalism! I don't understand! We went to nearby restaurants, most of which were, of course, fully booked. But they told us that this was typical behavior at this restaurant... Luckily, a competent and professional restaurateur took us in. He saved our evening, which was much better thanks to him.

09/06/2026: Never stayed in a room but ate there several times. Usually busy and had to wait a few minutes for a table. Service was ok and the food was decent.

09/06/2026: RESTAURANT ONLY!! During a trip to Omaha Beach, I went straight to the adjacent hotel restaurant for a delicious lunch. I received friendly service. I ordered a pizza and was satisfied with the price of €22, including a drink, considering the beachfront location. Nevertheless, I don't think the pizza was a perfect 10/10; I'd rate it more like 6.5-7/10. Still, it's worth a visit if you want to eat right by the sea.
