14/09/2026: Excellent meal. The meat is of very high quality, sourced from their farm in Aubrac. The best beef and the best chicken, both very tender (hence the overall rating). For me, the music is too loud and makes conversation difficult. The decor is simple. We had a good time. A bit pricey.

08/09/2026: It's a disaster. The avocados were completely raw (they were offered to us... served without a second thought, but offered nonetheless). And then the rest... greasy and tasteless. The very young waitress did what she could, with a smile at least, but it was far from satisfactory.

02/09/2026: Lunch on a Sunday in August. Very few people, yet a long wait (2.5 hours for a three-course meal), only to end up with tiny mussels that wouldn't open. In short, really not up to standard. The owner explained that he'd been cleaned out the day before and had to get supplies from Grand Frais. And that we should have sent the dish back if we weren't happy with it. It was quite unpleasant to be told, in a rather aggressive and contemptuous tone, that we were the ones in the wrong. He didn't listen to the customer at all, interrupted constantly, and dismissed us. The waitress did what she could; it must be difficult for her to work with this kind of person. I feel sorry for her. I won't be going back.

28/09/2026: The waitress should definitely change careers or disappear altogether. It's impossible to find a place where the service is so poor; she must be angry at the whole world, that girl.

23/09/2026: I come every morning; I think the coffee is the best in Fougères. The waitresses are very friendly and the service is always very quick. The bar area is also very nice, with plaques that create a good atmosphere and a cheerful vibe. I haven't tried the food.

19/09/2026: Disappointed despite having booked almost no dessert, we were offered fromage blanc with sugar or coulis. There was one slice of tart left. We were there at 12:30 pm and the restaurant continued to serve other people. For me, this is unacceptable, especially knowing their stock is low due to an upcoming holiday...

19/09/2026: We arrived today during lunchtime opening hours and were refused service, even though the waitress served customers just before us. Incomprehensible.

21/08/2026: Arrived at 4 pm, a little earlier than usual. After ordering a Grimbergen amber ale for €9.80, I asked the waitress for a plate of oysters. She told me the oyster shucker wouldn't arrive for another hour, even though the menu clearly stated continuous service. As a regular customer, I found the waitress rather unfriendly. I had to pay for my order immediately upon receiving it. No special treatment for regulars. Yet, this establishment, ideally located opposite the entrance to the Gironde estuary, offers a magnificent setting. It's a shame the friendliness and service weren't up to par. So, I'll go and enjoy some oysters at Viviers Charentais in Saint-Palais, where a dozen is €8 cheaper than here.

16/08/2026: Terrible welcome, the waitress was incredibly unpleasant, no thanks, and a casual, nonchalant attitude. Unacceptable! It's a shame because the setting is lovely.

17/10/2026: A great experience, despite the queue! I got to try the Nutella and coconut waffle, which was delicious 😊 The wait was worth it, and the service was very pleasant!

14/10/2026: The dining room was a bit cramped, but the service was friendly and welcoming. We tried the ficelle picarde, which was excellent, served with a mixed salad. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend it.

21/10/2026: We had an excellent experience at L’Avenue for lunch on my mom’s birthday when we were visiting Paris. We had a really charming view looking out and the food was simple but very good. Their risotto was one of my favorite dishes of our whole week in Paris. The server quickly provided information on allergens when I asked about gluten free options and there were a lot of things available for me on the menu. Overall it was a fantastic lunch!

17/08/2026: Deplorable. We arrived at 12:30 PM, and between the time we finished our tenders (which were really good) and the wait, 30 minutes passed, not counting the waiters who noticed we had nothing left on the table. Once we were finally served, there was more salad than steak in our burgers, not to mention the side salad. The fries weren't the worst, but they were far from it. Don't expect any sauce included with your meal; you'll just get small packets of the most basic sauces imaginable. Luckily, the water was good...

21/05/2026: As an Italian tourist, I can say that the food is excellent, with a variety of options and typical French dishes. The Swiss bread is fantastic and the baguettes are delicious!! The staff is super friendly <3 I highly recommend it!!
