31/12/2025: Second visit in August 2025: Very unpleasant welcome - the drinks served were not those ordered and, moreover, were expired. They were replaced with others that were just as expired. The food was served cold - no apologies or gesture of goodwill. The pizza machine nearby is much better, and if the snack bar at the campsite next door is open, don't hesitate to go there; it's perfect.

24/07/2026: Having come for happy hour, we ordered a "giraffe" of beer to simplify things for our dear server. Imagine our surprise when it came time to pay and he charged us the standard price, when we could have paid less by ordering the equivalent in pints at the happy hour price! Despite our complaint about this lack of advice and professionalism, he remained stoic, offering only a "Thanks and cheers, guys!"—a false politeness that served as scant consolation. I do not recommend this place.

06/07/2026: A very disappointing experience. I ordered a lemonade and they brought me a different drink than the one I ordered. When I pointed it out, instead of removing the wrong drink and bringing me the correct one, as any establishment would, they charged me for both. The mistake was the staff's, not mine, and yet I still had to pay for a drink I never ordered. Furthermore, the service was far from satisfactory and they took quite a while to attend to us. I don't think this is a proper way to treat customers, so I won't be returning.

06/08/2026: More mistakes on a pizza order, and they're getting worse and worse! This bakery is really going downhill! Disappointing!!!

31/07/2026: Here's the surprise under the pizza dough tonight. It's a shame because I love their pizzas, but luckily it fell on me and not my 5-year-old son. I think it's from a cleaning brush…

24/05/2026: The waiter was pleasant, but the brunette waitress was as unpleasant as could be! I was followed by a lot of unfriendly people and told the waitress, asking her to take the dance floor side to avoid them on the way out. Her response: "No, there are people dancing on the dance floor." As a young woman, and feeling a bit intimidated by the situation with a mature woman, I wasn't expecting this! If I were younger, I would have recommended it to many people for its friendly atmosphere, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you're a woman!!!! Absolutely no compassion. I was terrified at the mere thought of facing potentially malicious people, all because "some people are dancing." Extremely unpleasant and leaves young people in distress and in their own mess. Really disappointed, considering what I know of this bar/tobacconist.

07/04/2026: I was at the corner store, I went to buy rolling papers, and the saleswoman was incredibly rude, a woman with curly hair and a flower in her hair. Frankly, I didn't say anything because I wanted my papers, and she seemed like the type who wouldn't sell them to me if I made a fuss. I don't recommend it unless you have an extreme nicotine emergency.

22/07/2026: While fairly well located, I agree with some of the reviews already given: excessive price for mediocre quality, wine served warm and corked, Pavlova with too much cream and very little meringue…

28/07/2026: An early riser this morning, I decided to settle down on the terrace of this bakery with its breathtaking view of the church. The croissant went down a treat, from my palate to my stomach. The service lives up to the legendary location; the staff are smiling, cheerful, and always ready to help their fellow customers. Come and have your coffee here without hesitation; you'll definitely be back.

27/07/2026: SCAM I went to order a passion fruit and clementine juice for €4. The woman filled the cup with ice. I asked her not to add any; I could smell the scam coming. She insisted. I repeated that I didn't want ice, and she said okay: she added some anyway. And what did I see? She filled half the cup with tap water and put the equivalent of two tablespoons of it in my cup. So I paid €4 for tap water. I was shocked.

12/07/2026: We're regulars at this place, but for the first time we were very disappointed. The fries were cold and reheated, the bread roll was stale, and the meat was tough. We'll hesitate to come back.

10/08/2026: Unpleasant staff, outdated answering machine, open Wednesday to Saturday, impossible to order on-site, probably too many tourists for them to be polite and respectful. I don't recommend it if you're saving your smile for the evening.

10/08/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the owner and her daughter. We ordered two salads and a medium portion of fries to eat by the sea and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The owner, Estelle, is incredibly generous and readily recommended other restaurants in Cayeux. She clearly loves her town!

18/07/2026: I think Paul has the best pain au chocolat, he has no competition, far superior to all the boulangeries in the area

29/05/2026: We arrived at 6:18 PM to order a hot chocolate. To our surprise, the young employee responded very rudely, telling us she no longer made hot chocolates. However, the establishment displayed a closing time of 7:00 PM, so there were still more than 40 minutes left before closing time. Disappointed by the lack of professionalism.

29/10/2025: Well, I've never had that happen before! We came in the evening, Tuesday, for dinner. We were seated, the girl left and stopped talking to us; she went outside to chat. Anyway, a man came up and asked us what we wanted. We told him we hadn't received the cards, and he replied, "Go look outside at the board." I forgot, "I didn't print them out (mistake #1, see #2)." Given the way we left! So, we went outside and chose. Seriously, the nerve!! (We asked for two dishes, namely, stuffed vegetables and fish soup.) He said: "Oh, well, there aren't any left!" Wow! They really went too far. We had started our beers; I only drink with food, so we hadn't finished. He offered them to us! The least he could do...🤪 If they had a busy lunch service (which I can understand), they should have closed in the evening, or crossed out the dishes, or told us before making us go outside to choose! Sir, I hereby name you world champion of "I don't give a damn!" So we left and ate at a more expensive restaurant across the street, but absolutely Delicious, a lovely restaurant owner! Dear restaurant owner, Forever...!!! DON'T TAKE IT TOO FAR. Signed. Var vacationers!!!!

11/10/2025: Just perfect service, a super friendly boss and a more than perfect employee. A truly exquisite meal with a very good starter (really very good panisse) and a truly perfect pizza, I highly recommend it.

29/07/2026: An exceptional team, very good food, a beautiful and, above all, very clean restaurant, and very reasonable prices. Thank you to the entire Tortilla team! I highly recommend it; you won't be disappointed.

27/07/2026: Disgusting cocktail, over a 45-minute wait for two rib-eye steaks even though the restaurant was empty. The waitress was far too familiar and only talked about tips. The meat was full of gristle and rubbery. You ask for the bill, they don't even give you a receipt and then don't bring you your change. My advice: don't go there.

17/07/2026: I had a wonderful time with my sweetheart despite the crowds, which they handled very well. The staff was efficient, and to top it all off, we thoroughly enjoyed our perfectly cooked ribeye steaks and the chef's tiramisu! I highly recommend this place; we'll be back very soon.

21/06/2026: Avoid at all costs!! I bought two tarts that I ordered a week ago and what a huge disappointment for Father's Day!! €27 for two tarts, the pastry was soggy, the cream was dry, and the strawberries were wilted. It's a disgrace!! I do not recommend it!!

02/06/2026: Today's menu featured Caesar salad. Result: disastrous. Lots of salad, but none of the ingredients were there, not even the dressing (a small jar of balsamic vinegar). The container was a sham, with a false bottom to limit the amount. In short, we won't be repeating the experience.

05/08/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very bad experience. We were having lunch at the restaurant Les Deux Palais, right next door, when their restroom broke down. The staff at that restaurant then asked us to use your establishment's restroom. Upon our arrival, the only waiter present, a tall, thin man with dark hair, wearing a light blue striped shirt, greeted us in a very unpleasant manner. Instead of showing any understanding, he told us that we absolutely had to buy a drink to use the restroom. I understand that each establishment has its own rules, but in this exceptional situation, a little courtesy and consideration would have been appreciated. We weren't trying to take advantage of your services, but simply following the instructions of the neighboring restaurant. The restaurant was almost empty at that time, which makes this attitude even harder to understand. A very disappointing experience and customer service far below the standards one would expect.

02/08/2026: I simply do not recommend this restaurant. Indeed, the waitress clearly left her cheerfulness at home, as other reviews have mentioned. Every time she came to serve us, she practically breathed on us. I also noticed that she refused service to foreign customers because they didn't speak her language (I should point out that there was no one else inside besides my family and me). We also noticed that they left the daily specials on the chalkboard even though they were no longer available on a Friday at noon. In that case, why not cross them out or erase them? As for the food, the burger I ordered was not worth the price. First of all, the bun was very dry. There were very few vegetables inside, just a measly slice of tomato and two red onions. The cheese wasn't melted. Furthermore, they overcooked the patty. Finally, I think the furniture needs to be cleaned a bit more, since the tables are sticky.

02/07/2026: Despite the friendly service, well-organized space, and good food with generous portions, I observed wasps in the display cases. One of the servers saw the wasps but did nothing. I understand that in the summer these kinds of insects might be attracted to the area, however, solutions could be considered.
