18/05/2026: I went there for the first and last time, of course. The food was decent enough, but nothing special: we ate because we were hungry! Nothing more. The atmosphere was nonexistent. The house red wine was like goat's milk! The waiter showed no empathy, no smile, rather silent, giving the impression he was just there for a dead-end job.

16/05/2026: We had a wonderful time as a family. Excellent value for money with the €38 bistronomy menu. The desserts are undeniably the specialty. Delicate, beautifully flavored, a real treat. The cuisine is relatively simple, using good ingredients. Some dishes are a bit daring and unannounced (e.g., anchovies in the chicken, or pistachios in the revisited Black Forest cake), which might not be for those who like surprises. Personally, I loved it! A good wine list and pleasant service. Only the ambiance lacks warmth.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped by the charm of the place: a warm welcome, an elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere, and a rare tranquility that makes you feel as if you've stepped outside of time. A true haven of serenity. Then came the dishes… magnificent, colorful, delicately floral, as visually refined as they were promising in terms of flavor. You immediately sense the care, sensitivity, and generosity behind each creation. Upon tasting, everything was perfectly executed: bold yet subtle flavors, precise pairings, rich and flavorful jus, and exquisitely delicate cooking. Special mention goes to the seven-hour lamb, absolutely meltingly tender and unforgettable. Each dish tells a story and evokes a genuine gustatory emotion. The service is attentive, discreet, and perfectly paced, which contributes fully to the experience. From beginning to end, this meal was a marvel. An inspired and inspiring table, where you leave happy… with only one desire: to return very soon.

08/06/2026: A lovely spot for a balanced lunch with fresh ingredients. Street-side terrace (no cars) and courtyard at the back. Just a stone's throw from the market. I'll gladly return.

06/06/2026: Attentive and incredibly fast service. A beautifully decorated restaurant with different seating areas that are surprisingly quiet. The salads and toast platters are delicious and generously portioned. I recommend the toast with salmon trout.

25/02/2026: Passing through the area (February 25, 2026), after visiting the abbey. A very good restaurant, with a delicious, unpretentious, and inexpensive menu (lunchtime set menu). From appetizer to dessert, everything is homemade, even the bread, which is delicious.

13/05/2026: 6 weary motorcyclists arrived after a hard days riding to this beautifully restored old building and garden to be met by the owner who is very attentive and accommodating. The rooms are magnificent. We had the most amazing meal in the downstairs restaurant, the best meal of the week on our travels. In the morning we had a really good continental breakfast in the first floor breakfast room, with as much food as you can eat and freshly squeezed orange juice from an ingenious machine. I would highly recommend this Hotel for that special treat for your loved ones.

02/05/2026: A restaurant on the banks of the Dordogne, a truly wonderful discovery. The cuisine is precise, expertly prepared, and executed with passion. You can taste the care put into the ingredients and the desire to do things well. It's a shame we didn't get to try everything on the menu… a good reason to return very soon. The only slight criticism concerns the rhubarb dessert: a little more flavor and cohesion on the plate would have made it perfect.

27/05/2026: I went out for dinner alone on Wednesday evening. Morgan found me a table where I enjoyed my meal. Throughout the meal, Morgan was very attentive and offered excellent advice regarding wine and food choices. I recommend this restaurant and this waitress.

16/05/2026: A very pleasant experience last night for a dinner for two. Warm welcome, efficient service, and cuisine that was both refined and traditional! A simple menu that makes you want to try everything; our only regret was that we weren't hungry enough for dessert (they all looked tempting).

18/04/2026: An exceptional spot in the heart of the mountains! Refuge Le Petit Tétras offers absolutely magnificent views of the surrounding peaks, in an authentic and peaceful setting. A true haven of tranquility where you can enjoy both the panorama and the warm atmosphere. The cuisine is excellent, prepared exclusively with fresh, local, and carefully selected products. The sourcing is remarkable, with a genuine commitment to showcasing local producers. Special mention also goes to the superb wine list, curated with taste and coherence. A must-visit destination in both summer and winter, where everything comes together: setting, authenticity, quality products, and impeccable service. I highly recommend it!

08/03/2026: We had a very good meal there, the portions were generous. The prices are really very reasonable for the quality and the setting. And the little touch that's always appreciated: the complimentary génépi at the end of the meal!

28/05/2026: We were lucky enough to find ourselves back for a second visit in just two days. The staff, like the owner, truly demonstrated the spirit of hospitality. We were received with the utmost respect and warmth. And what can we say about the menu and the food?! Dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, of high quality, and generous portions at very reasonable prices. All this in a lovely setting, with a shaded terrace, away from the hustle and bustle. We highly recommend this place.

22/03/2026: Refined from start to finish, everything is perfectly executed. By comparison, I've eaten in restaurants with misplaced pretensions to elegance and chic, and La Table Saint Thomas has absolutely nothing to envy them for. For me, it's a must-visit in the city.
