Nous étions six personnes a opté pour une formule plat+dessert à 31 € qui a globalement donner satisfaction à notre équipe. Cependant je regrette qu'aucun des 4 plats ne proposaient des frites en accompagnement!

22/08/2024: We spent 2 nights in la bastide and really enjoyed it. This place has a slightly informal vibe at times, but in a way that doesn't take away from high quality experience. Even the simpler room was lovely, and our dog was welcome throughout. We didn't realise when booking how much space there was around the property (both in and out) to just chill out. The restaurant is definitely a highlight - we had dinner there twice, and both were excellent (despite a little mix-up regarding a special dinner). A second highlight is the staff who in general were very warm and sweet, with an extra shout to Maddie (both at dinner and breakfast) whose cheerful attitude was contagious, and Luciana who took great care of us at dinners (for example providing a mosquito spray when we had a table near a hedge). It's small touches like this that show you care and preparation in the team. On this occasion we didn't visit the village but it's very near for those who want a bit more variety for food.

03/12/2024: We visited this place in early fall and found it magical. In spring and summer it must be even more beautiful, we also appreciated the room, the comfort of the bedding and the cleanliness of the place. Nothing to say about the service, the staff is very pleasant. To finish, the cuisine is excellent as well as the pastries. We will come back with great pleasure.

21/11/2025: This is the perfect spot to have lunch if you're visiting Monet's House and Gardens in Giverny. It's a bit of a walk down the main street, and you'll find it on the way to visiting Monet's grave (which you should also certainly do if you are in town). It has a lovely outdoor space as well as some seating inside though I didn't see anyone actually dining indoors when we were there. Perhaps they reserve that for when the weather doesn't allow for outdoor seating. The menu advertised out front is minimal, and there are more menu options on the regular full menu which they give you once you sit down. I wish they were a bit more transparent on the full menu before you sit down. We thought there were plenty of options to satisfy nearly anyone, and each tried sandwiches for lunch. Mine was a classic croque monsieur and my mom got a chicken sandwich on a crispy baguette. Her's was a "meal" and also came with a drink and dessert, which we shared and really enjoyed. The food was good. It really hit the spot, and the outdoor space was lovely, minus a couple smokers who were sitting nearby (yuck). If you're visiting Giverny, I recommend this as a nice lunch option!

31/10/2025: Giverny was lovely in its late summer bloom and gave us the experience we were hoping for! We had previously researched a casual dining spot for lunch and decided on Au Coin du Paint’re with its high reviews in the heart of the village of Giverny. The front outside dining area was rustic and charming, but we decided to eat inside as I was a bit chilled. The restaurant does not take reservations; when we arrived early, we had our choice of seating. During our lunch, the outside garden area filled quickly with other diners. Our burger, Croque Monsieur, beer and wine choices were delicious and exactly what we wanted! The other diners’ foods looked delicious too. A perfect way to close out our day in Giverny before returning on the shuttle to the Vernon train station.

04/11/2025: Not worthy of a chef! Dry shepherd's pie with a large piece of meat, seafood gratin that turned into soup, steak with shallots where you couldn't find the steak, ice-cold starter plate, in short, nothing to celebrate. Friendly waitress.
