04/10/2026: The establishment is beautiful, however, the quality of the service is not worth the price paid. The cuisine is not fine dining, but rather semi-fine dining. The service, despite the attractive presentation, needs improvement. The sommelier removed the wine bucket from the table and stopped serving; this was unacceptable. The service was incredibly slow and completely fell short of customer expectations in this type of establishment that claims to be fine dining. The sommelier's wine selection suggestion was rather cavalier. He offered a different wine than the one chosen by the customer due to a lack of freshness. I will never return. A major disappointment.

17/09/2026: Arriving without a reservation, we received a more than warm welcome! The manager on the phone kindly helped us find a parking space and offered us a superbly located table despite the crowd. The servers provided excellent advice, both on the chef's suggestions and on the wine pairings for our dishes. The Camembert cheese is more than just a present dish: it reigns supreme, encased in crispy bacon, majestically atop a bed of gratinéed buckwheat that seems to have been crafted by the gods of Auvergne themselves. Then, an origami of butternut squash surrounded by a vibrant array of colors and small vegetables—it's like being in the heart of the Mediterranean on a summer evening. The terrace with its patio immerses us in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where time seems to stand still (it reminds us of our honeymoon in Italy with my husband). As for my husband, lost in memories, he succumbed to a starter enhanced with a Parmesan cream that was enough to melt away our last inhibitions and plunge us into an explosion of sweetness. The dessert, finally, the chef's new specialty, underscored the meaning of ecstasy. With a delicacy and precision that would put even the greatest chefs to shame, its citrus note and sprinkle of crunchy texture, let me tell you, this dinner was more than just a culinary aphrodisiac! Special mention to the kitchen: Alex and Jo! To the front-of-house team: Yassine and Gwendal! Who made our experience truly timeless. We will be back.

10/07/2026: Good morning, I'm usually happy with their pastries, but NOT THIS TIME: the Paris-Brest in particular had an insignificant amount of cream, no praline at all!! Not only were we not disappointed, but everything exceeded our expectations: the service, the facilities, the presentation, and the food—everything was perfect. Matyasy is a restaurant I will definitely use again in the future.

03/09/2026: We went there quite late one evening on a whim. We received a very warm welcome. The service was impeccable, and the decor transports you into Mamema's world! I recommend the house aperitif, Mamema's Port, and we chose four different dishes. Everything was excellent. We will gladly return on our next trip to the area.

The food, "Bibekeskas" and "Escalope de porc," was excellent, and the blueberry tart and vanilla ice cream for dessert were delicious. The service was exceptionally friendly, the Pinot Blanc was good, and our little dog was warmly welcomed. The price-performance ratio was good; a top spot in the center of Riquewhir... we'd gladly come back anytime, thank you very much and see you soon...😀

01/10/2026: We visited on a late September afternoon. The location is very nice; we ate outside. It was already late, so the kitchen was closed, but we were able to enjoy the cheese tongs. And a good Alsatian wine. The courtesy, cleanliness, and good food made the stop pleasant. Good value. The interior is very charming and traditional.

06/08/2026: My first experience at lunchtime today was a great success. The owners are charming and always smiling. The farm salad was excellent and quite substantial, and the chicken fritters were very good. The Savoyard burger and fries were delicious, and the setting under the wisteria was very pleasant, even in the intense heat. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

09/09/2026: It wasn't planned at all! But this inn happened to be on our route. It was after 2:30 pm, and we hadn't yet had lunch, when Le Paquis gave us a warm welcome and a delicious meal. 02/09/2026: Appalling service. Passing through with my brothers, we simply asked politely to use the restroom due to an urgent need. The two waitresses stared at us with obvious contempt before refusing us access, claiming it was "reserved for customers." It's one thing for an establishment to enforce this rule, but the staff's lack of respect and rudeness is quite another. A sense of hospitality and basic courtesy are completely absent here. Avoid at all costs.
