It's a treat for the taste buds, offering the sensation of fresh, homemade food. I highly recommend it, especially with the very warm welcome and discreet, efficient service. 08/04/2026: I've been going to this place for several years; it's one of the few that stays open all year round. The food is excellent, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable both summer and winter. I recommend this place without reservation.

13/04/2026: The restaurant is decent but very disappointing for the price and not recommended for big eaters! The steak tartare, prepared tableside, is a tiny portion, as is the strawberry tartlet with its sauce, which is really lacking in flavor. The service is attentive and helpful.

06/04/2026: A very pleasant experience from start to finish; we had a great time. The welcome and service were excellent: the staff were smiling and professional, and the organization was good. The food was very good, with both classic and more unusual options, including the daily specials. The atmosphere was pleasant. We chose this restaurant based on Google reviews, partly because it wasn't on the quayside, away from the tourist crowds, and also because it was outside of peak season. I thought that at this time of year the restaurant would be more frequented by locals, who know their stuff, and indeed, that seemed to be the case on Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026), with many large families at the tables. In conclusion, we will gladly return.

05/04/2026: The service was a disgrace. We waited over an hour to be served and only got our drinks. We left without even getting our order taken. I can't comment on the food because we weren't even able to order it. Two tables of French people who arrived later than us had better luck... I'll leave it at that...

31/03/2026: The food is good quality with quick (lunchtime) but very pleasant service. It's best to book in advance, otherwise you'll be seated in the veranda, but it's better than nothing 😀. The late winter atmosphere must be quite different in the summer, and with a reservation, I'm giving it 3 stars, as I was rather confined to the relatively noisy veranda. I highly recommend it, if only for the pleasure of a good meal.

06/03/2026: The place was lovely and the owner very kind. However, we waited a very long time for our food (2.5 hours in total at the table). The food was good but not exceptional, with the chocolate fondant being a major disappointment as it was very dry.

03/05/2026: A very warm welcome, good food, and reasonable prices. We were a group of about twenty hikers, and an all-inclusive menu was offered to us; it was perfect, generous portions, and delicious. We had our own area and were able to take our time. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

19/04/2026: We've known this restaurant for ten years. We hadn't been for several years. In the past, we'd been very disappointed by the service. This time, we were pleasantly surprised by the improved service, which had been disappointing in the past. However, the value for money isn't there for the main courses on the menu. The truffles were really not good. The fish dish we chose was very pretty, but the taste was lacking. On the other hand, we loved the petit fours and the much more original appetizers.

12/04/2026: Given the restaurant's reputation, I was expecting something truly exceptional, but my experience at L’Atelier du Peintre was rather disappointing. The set menu choices were bold, and the dishes were decent. However, the service, particularly from the sommelier, wasn't up to the standard one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The desserts, on the other hand, were excellent. Considering the price and the establishment's prestige, the experience fell short, even though it remains a very good restaurant.

31/03/2026: Excellent crêperie in a lovely setting. The waitress was fantastic. Don't miss the kig ha farz in winter, especially the fisherman's soup beforehand. A must-try. Highly recommended.

13/01/2026: Fantastic experience. Impeccable service, and the music was really great. I had the DIY steak tartare. Simple and delicious. Special mention to the waiter who was incredibly attentive. I highly recommend it for a family evening out while enjoying La Palmyre.

21/03/2026: when we booked the hotel it said the restraunt would be open ,one of the reasons we chose this place.3 days before our arrival we were informed the a la carte would not be available ,also they would not supply towels for the swimming pool.Too late for us to change hotel!!Their reason was that it was to early in the season?Not our fault.We were also told we would be the only guests staying,as tho"this was some kind of privalage.When we went down for breakfast there were 12 people having breakfast.....so much for it being out of season!!! I,m afraid I came away feeling like I had been lied to,this has left a bad taste .I can not recommend this hotel.

18/04/2026: An exceptional gastronomic experience! We had lunch at Bloempot on a Thursday and were captivated from the moment we walked in. The setting, a former workshop located behind a florist, is magnificent with its raw, industrial style. The local cuisine (produce sourced within 150 km) is a true feat of creativity. We opted for the 8-course tasting menu with non-alcoholic beverage pairings: flawless from start to finish. The asparagus, the veal with its green vegetable espuma, and the original cheese preparation were simply unforgettable. A huge thank you to the team for their kindness and for precisely adapting the menu for a diabetic. The service is relaxed, warm, and very professional. A must-visit in Lille!
