23/08/2024: Superb dinner in a beautiful setting!! The cuisine is delicate, the cocktails excellent and the staff attentive! Special mention to Louise who took care of our table perfectly!! We will come back!!
22/08/2024: Respect to the servers and cooks who have to deal with a number of reservations clearly higher than the capacity of the establishment. We waited over an hour to order and then a second hour to be served. The owners of this establishment should certainly not be to be pitied. A great example of the restaurant industry in a tourist area

Food had no flavour, bland, not spicy even though asked for ‘hot’, khaki coloured and curdled texture, no vegetables in sight - chicken jalfrezi. Tarka dhal - no flavour, hard lentils. Brinjal/aubergine bhaji - slosh, khaki coloured again, tasted of nothing. Chicken tikka masala - looked the part, again, no flavour. Very disappointed.

06/09/2024: We went to this restaurant while visiting the city, we have a dog with us (30 kg), the young waiter welcomed us kindly and seated us in the room.
The meal was delicious, the homemade aperitif was killer, the value for money is unbeatable!
We recommend this restaurant with our eyes closed and will return without hesitation ☺️

Menu à 26,50€ Gambas très moyennes. Foie gras poêlé correct
Plats Cailles noircies au four ou oubliées sous le lèche frites. bien trop cuites et très peu de foie gras en accompagnement. Service du fromage incorrect avec des réflexions désagréables.
Habitués de la maison, nous sommes repartis déçus; attention le succès peut vite dégringoler ! Dessert du jour insignifiant …

24/08/2024: Établissement jovial et sympathique où l’accueil est assez extraordinaire ! Sourire, bonne humeur, c’est très plaisant en période estivale !
Les plats sont originaux et savoureux, du saumon en passant par le poulet aux écrevisses !
La terrasse offre une belle vue sur la place; très romantique !
Enfin,
Le rapport qualité prix est excellent; je recommande vivement !!!

26/07/2024: It’s not so easy to find a good restaurant for an affordable price. So my 5 reflect a high value for money appraisal .
My wife and i were cycling from Roanne to Nantes and in the evening we enjoy having good food and a service treating us with kindness and courtesy. This was well the case in this restaurant of Gien, a little outside the city centre (15min cycling from the camp ground) but a nice discovery.
So this this Risotto with Merlu, topped with a thin slices of chorizo was not only daring but tasty. A the desert, with ricotta, an apple sorbet on a crispy chocolate was gorgeous.
The room is unique, not only cosy as in a good English restaurant, but also valuable to discover the earthenware of the city.
