20/07/2026: Our first Michelin-starred experience. Being from the southwest, we couldn't have dreamed of anything better than Chef Darroze's restaurant. Thank you for this wonderful moment and the emotions it evoked!

12/07/2026: Excellent lunch at Marsan restaurant, which brilliantly showcases the local produce of the Basque Country/Southwest France. The ingredients are fresh and cooked with incredible precision (the hake was simply excellent). The flavors are bold and subtly and perfectly balanced. In addition to the dishes on the menu, we greatly enjoyed the various amuse-bouches/interludes (tomato and verbena consommé, breadsticks, taloa, excellent bread and focaccia with accompaniments) and entremets (bread ice cream, Basque cake, truffle, and the final touch to take away: a delicious little canelé) which punctuated our particularly generous meal. Besides the hake, I found the dessert particularly memorable, as well as the superb bread and its reimagining as an extraordinarily delicious bread ice cream.

24/05/2026: The reception was deplorably inefficient, the rooms were outdated with significant dents in the doors and tiles, and there were problems with the air conditioning/heating. There are much better and more upscale options in the city offering similar prices and services.

11/07/2026: We came to eat as a group of four. The waitresses gave us a warm and discreet welcome. The terrace is pleasant, right next to the market. Then came the time to order. The waiter (the oldest in the group, he'll recognize himself) cracked a few familiar jokes. Okay… We explained that my wife is allergic. The man's response, with a knowing laugh: "She's a pain!" A long, awkward silence… The waiter was starting to notice the discomfort. We took it in stride and decided to give the food a chance instead of leaving the table. My son and I ordered a ribeye steak between us, and my wife had a gazpacho. I don't remember what my daughter ordered… The verdict: The ribeye steak was good quality, cooked rare, but there was one drawback: The meat was too fresh, not aged enough (I'm not talking about matured beef). So even though it was rare, it felt like eating a piece of rubber. My wife's gazpacho was good but too vinegary. What a waste! We mentioned it to the waiter, who explained that it's a matter of taste and that we should have ordered the aged ribeye. Clearly, he enjoys inappropriate jokes but not constructive criticism. No comment… In short: The service was appalling and rude, and the food was subpar. The price was definitely too high. The next day we went to Alma (see review). It was like night and day.

29/10/2025: This establishment is hidden from the eyes of tourists, who are preoccupied as they are with the restaurant terraces on the adjacent square. How wrong they are! While the place itself may not look like much, the food is excellent and reasonably priced.

18/07/2026: We just discovered this restaurant, which we would rank as one of the best we've ever been to in our beautiful region. From the amuse-bouche to the petit fours, everything was perfect, and the cuisine was worthy of Michelin-starred restaurants. They change their menu every two and a half months, and we can't wait to try the new dishes. We highly recommend it.

30/07/2026: We didn't like the beef. It was very tough and rubbery to chew. The beef dishes are not recommended. It's also a shame that they serve canned drinks.

25/07/2026: Family dinner, two adults and two children. Friendly atmosphere. Generous mixed appetizers, excellent grilled fish, and tender Taureau steaks. Good food and excellent ingredients. The cheese selection is also recommended. A pleasant evening, thanks in part to the very friendly staff.

25/04/2026: Delicious Argentinian cuisine, very warm welcome, it's fantastic and we'll gladly return! Note that lunchtime is by reservation only, but that makes it perfect for private events.
