05/01/2026: My Sunday favorite ❤️ L’Auberge de Ceilloux offers a modern take on traditional Auvergne cuisine, featuring local and seasonal produce. The wine list is small but perfectly complements the dishes prepared on-site. Terrines, poultry, roasts... everything is cooked in the restored wood-fired oven, and the bread and pastries are also made and baked there. Everything is homemade, from appetizer to dessert, using fresh, local ingredients. Excellent and very generous portions. Set menu at €32, including appetizer, main course, cheese, and dessert. Vegetarians, please let us know when making your reservation; the chef will be happy to prepare alternative dishes, as the menu is set. Parking is available near the restaurant. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Highly recommended.

01/12/2025: My wife wanted a French Onion soup and saw it on the menu online. We went there on that basis. 😂 I got nervous when the restaurant filled up with tourists and no locals. Usually a bad sign for us. Great decision as it was the best onion soup we’ve had. That along with a fabulous cheese plate (which we shared) was enough to make for a great meal. And service was superb.

28/11/2025: Stopped in here for dinner by myself. It was quiet and cozy and the staff was very friendly. They offered indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good and reasonably priced. Lots of tourists also dining at the same time, but nothing about my experience felt touristy. Nice spot for a casual dinner.

26/11/2025: A place like this is the kind of place you wish you could find in every town and city in France when you're a truck driver... The parking lot is huge and paved, the welcome is friendly, the service is quick, the showers are spotless, and the food is good with a wide selection... Paradise, basically...!! Just one small drawback: the small tables against the wall are a bit cramped... P.S.: (I'm not from the area and I have no relation to the owners... But when something's good, you have to say so, and this is definitely the case here.)

20/02/2026: Excellent restaurant! We had a wonderful time enjoying a perfectly executed five-course menu, with dishes that were as refined as they were delicious. The setting is magnificent, full of charm and character, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The service was top-notch, attentive, professional, and warm from beginning to end. A big thank you also to the team for accommodating my pregnant partner's dietary restrictions with such kindness. It was a thoughtful touch that we particularly appreciated. We will definitely be back!
