I think this is a restaurant worth frequenting, where you can be sure of a pleasant evening in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

16/01/2026: Great restaurant within the inn. If you're passing by, I highly recommend stopping in for lunch; it's delicious. A very warm atmosphere with local and regional products. They also sell homemade cheeses, charcuterie, pâté, jam, bread, and more. The meal itself was delicious. We had the €24.50 set menu, which included a charcuterie platter and salad, warm cheese, free-range chicken with carrots and potatoes, a cheese plate, and dessert. Excellent value for money. The food was delicious, the chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce was very flavorful. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

03/03/2026: This restaurant is a redemption for the town of Tarare. The tasting menu at €18.50 is simply incredible. Cuttlefish with vegetables, organic rump steak with endive and mustard cream, seed biscuit, poached pear, and Chantilly cream. Perfectly cooked, with spices expertly measured and blended. All these dishes are presented in appropriate containers. Organic wines are available by the glass. The establishment has plenty to offer: a cheese shop across the street, gourmet workshops, and a wine cellar. The chef is passionate and shares his knowledge. A truly wonderful place.

06/02/2026: We had an absolutely wonderful three-course lunch here today and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming and quietly special. We asked if it might be possible to have different wines with each course, and rather than a simple yes, we were taken on a genuinely beautiful journey through white wines, each one thoughtfully chosen and perfectly suited to the food. It felt personal, unrushed, and full of care — the kind of experience that stays with you long after the last glass. The food itself was excellent, beautifully prepared and balanced, making the entire lunch feel like a real occasion without ever being pretentious. To top it all off, after realising we’d walked much further than planned from the neighbouring village (and perhaps enjoyed the wine a little too much!), the owner very kindly offered to drive us home once the restaurant had closed. That level of generosity and warmth says everything about the place. A truly lovely atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and an experience we’ll remember fondly. We would return in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes did not please us, with rice that seemed reheated and fish that I had difficulty appreciating. The setting is pleasant and well located, but the dining experience didn't quite meet our expectations.
