11/12/2025: My friend and I stopped by today around 2 pm to enjoy a pastry. The food was perfect, but the service was sorely lacking in politeness... Being called a thief out loud in front of a full restaurant, with the pretext that we hadn't paid, and having this claim, which turned out to be false, persisted is UNACCEPTABLE!! After you took the time to check (in short, to do your job), you didn't even have the courtesy to apologize.

For a very small wedding, we were treated like royalty at this establishment, even though we hadn't even mentioned the happy event that had brought us there. The manager and his team provided us with a special experience of high-quality food, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The service was impeccable and attentive. Everything was delicious, unexpected, surprising, exotic... All four of us loved this lunch and this happy time spent at Paradoxe, memories of which we will cherish for a long time. Thank you to the entire team; we will be back with great pleasure!

06/12/2025: The food wasn't particularly good; we didn't enjoy our meal. The sweetbreads were reheated and the sauce was pasty… It's a shame. The service, however, was pleasant.

05/12/2025: I loved this simple & honest bistro! Very busy with locals & the food was down to earth, French family food. Great atmosphere, delightful staff & we’ve booked for a second meal. Not fancy but good, honest, no frills food!

I want to emphasize that the welcome was excellent. Some Buffalo Grill restaurants should take a page out of this one's book. I recommend it 100%.

04/02/2026: A cozy and friendly place, welcome to the States, Bourg-en-Bresse style! A special shout-out to my friend Fred, thanks to whom we had a fantastic evening! (Laughter guaranteed!) The dishes are delicious and generous; I personally recommend the ribeye steak! I highly recommend Buffalo Grill in Bourg-en-Bresse.

03/02/2026: All the staff are kind and the food is delicious. Brunch menu, lunch menu dessert, coffee, and orange juice are all delicious. This restaurant was the first of its kind staff to smile on the flute, welcome customers, and do small talks. She guided us to the warmest seat and allowed us to put our luggage on an empty table. They received food orders quickly, food came out right away, and they didn't leave us unattended, always kept an eye on us and checked if there was anything else they needed. She was always quick and kind, not only during her free time, but also in very crowded situations because the store was full. If I were the owner of this store, I would like to give her a special bonus.

From the appetizer to the main course, then cheese and dessert, everything was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end. I highly recommend this place! 23/01/2026: A lovely gourmet restaurant, located in a small town on the banks of the Loire. Elegant and understated decor, an enticing menu, and delicious dishes: this is truly fine cuisine, thoughtful, refined, and meticulously prepared with beautiful ingredients. Each dish, each preparation offers a perfect balance, with originality but without excess. We enjoyed an excellent New Year's Day meal there, at a more than reasonable price considering the overall quality (€55). The welcome and service are friendly and discreet: I wish this establishment great success! Everything makes us want to return soon.

09/07/2025: Excellent service, very attentive, for this small restaurant, well-located on the Quai de la Chaume. The cuisine is refined, but in our opinion a little too much, a little too complicated, which sometimes alters the taste. Small details that still leave plenty of room for potential: the veloute could be simplified a bit, the grilled langoustines should be served shelled, the dessert biscuits a little too hard... And to enjoy the place, I read Honesty Bar (found on Amazon), a great, non-violent, "feel-good" thriller... TOP!

09/07/2025: 2nd visit and still just as good. The lunch menu is a real treat! From the melon soup to the nectarine cream to the chicken, our senses were awakened and amazed by the presentation and the taste discoveries in every bite. The very friendly and smiling staff knew how to be attentive without being intrusive. A very nice experience again

There are no egos here, just very professional owners and staff who's only goal is to look after their customers impeccably. A broad menu interesting twists, cooked properly and to your request, efficient, friendly and unobtrusive service and very good value for money.
