08/12/2024: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Spot for Lunch! La Calade in Éguilles is my new go-to place for lunch whenever I'm in the area. Betty and her team are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. The wood-fired pizzas are absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The menu has a nice variety, offering something for everyone, which makes it even better for family outings. Overall, a great family-friendly restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!

20/09/2024: What a disappointment we experienced this establishment a few years ago and nothing comparable. Everything has become very average: the service, the quality of the dishes, the price of the wines....As part of a gift (box at 150 euros) only 1 starter, 1 main course, 1 dessert imposed by the management ! We have never seen this and the icing on the cake we charge 1€ per person for parking without asking us if we came by car without forgetting the enormous management dog which wanders around the reception Value for money far below the bill

17/09/2024: For my parents' wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate this special moment at the Écu de France, and what a wonderful choice! The establishment exceeded all our expectations: the cuisine was exceptional, the discussions with the managers were warm, the service impeccable, without forgetting the enchanting setting which completely transported us. We had a fantastic time, and the dishes were able to delight all palates. A huge congratulations to the whole team!

01/09/2024: on 08-24-24, we ate in this restaurant, the premises are for me to be placed in the "class" category, beautiful decor, clean, airy, and not noisy. on our arrival, we were invited to go to the lounge, to have an aperitif, cozy atmosphere, total comfort, the waiter was very smiling with a touch of humor, after a while, our order was taken, which meant that when we arrived at our table, we were served without waiting. the meal was delicious. No false notes for this good time, from start to finish. Well done !

31/08/2024: We stayed in this hotel in August, had booked 2 nights with half board and were very disappointed by: The welcome and the multiple derogatory comments from the boss, The room, dusty; bathroom to modernize, shower head out of order, toilet water drainage difficult, leaky gutter... A little noise all night. Breakfast: certainly the silverware is present but the coffee reheated in the small silver pitchers is cold. Completely rotten orange in the fruit basket. As for the evening meal: we are told a starter "around grapefruit", we see half or even a quarter of a peeled grapefruit arriving on a plate. Then lamb (a small slice of 2 cm2 full of fat) accompanied by 2 slices of zucchini and 2 cm2 of polenta. the waiter brings us the bread, specifying that it might be useful. Indeed, we had opted for a half board, and not for an appetizer and the bread satisfied us somewhat. The next day we canceled the half board and moved to another restaurant. Delighted this time to have eaten well. Regarding prices: displays in the rooms, at reception, on the internet and on the street side: no two are alike. It is therefore impossible to understand the prices. In short, the 3 stars are not justified. We therefore do not recommend.

The welcome, the service, the human contact are top notch. The authentic country dishes have nothing to envy of the great restaurants. We had a very pleasant time there and will come back. 18/11/2025: Off to the Creuse region. A restaurant with a pleasant setting, certainly, but with a chef who seems to have one foot in the Michelin-starred galaxy and the other in his own garden. The menu oscillates between the ambition of a Michelin-starred dish and the reality of an ordinary plate. And what about the price! A price that would make even the most audacious Parisian bistro blush. The highlight of this experience is the coffee. Yes, the coffee. €4.50. At that price, it could be served in a sculpted porcelain cup, with a gold leaf at the bottom, and a little hummingbird feather to stir it. But no, just a coffee, as ordinary as they come… except for its price, which is anything but ordinary. In short, after this culinary "experience," you leave not with stars in your eyes, but rather with a less flamboyant wallet. Fortunately, there are other places in Creuse to welcome you with more kindness and friendliness.

The owner told us about his homemade aperitifs, his garden, the creativity of his chef... This restaurant is a jewel of French gastronomy, to discover...to come back

Prices were slightly higher than elsewhere, and the dish (quenelle) was decent but nothing special. They also didn't serve the standard 50cl pint of beer (each glass was a few centiliters smaller). Overall, a mixed impression...
