03/05/2026: Hello, I have eaten many times at the Bistrot des Lavandes, each time I enjoy it very much, the atmosphere is very good, the service is fast so for the four of us we are very satisfied, just one thing, when it's good you come back!

26/06/2026: We ate very well, but during a heatwave, a nearly three-hour service when the restaurant wasn't even full is unacceptable. Without air conditioning or a fan, the room was 32 degrees Celsius (I could see the thermometer). Something needs to be done about this because the meal became unbearable.

03/06/2026: Passing through the region, we had lunch at this former coaching inn in a lovely rustic setting. The very classy owner served us with humor, making the meal enjoyable, with thoughtful touches that were much appreciated. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the cheese platter was magnificent. To finish, the excellent coffee left us with a wonderful memory of our meal. A highly recommended inn.

01/07/2026: Overall, a good experience, thanks to solid cuisine and a very pleasant setting. The deliberately concise menu inspires confidence: it gives the impression of a carefully curated selection, consistent with the level expected in an establishment run by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Best Craftsman of France). On the plate, the dishes were good value for money, with some real highlights. The French toast deserves special mention: probably one of the best I've ever tasted, by far. The lamb parcels were also interesting, although their presentation, in my opinion, could have been a bit more elegant. However, I'm deducting one star due to the service, which wasn't up to par that day. The lack of a wine list, cocktails, or mocktails was a real drawback: it was difficult to choose without a clear overview of the selections and prices. The service also lacked confidence, particularly when opening the bottle, with plates arriving too early and some overly intrusive interruptions during our conversation. These missteps seemed primarily due to a lack of training, which we later understood. This doesn't detract from the quality of the food, but it did diminish the overall experience. A very good restaurant in principle, which I would gladly return to, but which didn't fully meet our expectations on this particular occasion.

15/05/2026: Cozy and well-maintained truck stop. Friendly service and good food. Spacious parking for trucks, clean restrooms, and a great shower. Open on weekdays that are public holidays, except when they follow the weekend.

31/05/2026: Very disappointed with this restaurant. We ate here today for Mother's Day. For a meal costing 51 euros, we had dry chicken that was difficult to cut because it was so tough. The pieces were tiny, and there were two quenelles of mediocre mashed potatoes. The sweetbreads were the same—almost nothing on the plate. Furthermore, we ate directly on the table without placemats or a tablecloth, and the cutlery was half broken. It's truly appalling; this isn't a school cafeteria! And to top it all off, the coffee was 3 euros for half a cup. You're really taking advantage at that price; make an effort. We certainly won't be back.

05/04/2026: Lunch with a set menu (main course + dessert) is available. The dishes are tastefully presented on beautiful plates, and the floral touch adds a lovely touch. The service is pleasant, with an all-female kitchen team. The restaurant also offers beers, wines, and spirits.

31/03/2026: I highly recommend the hand-cut steak tartare; it's absolutely divine! I didn't have a beer as an aperitif (it was a business lunch), even though the selection and quality of beers are incredible. I asked for water and got my own carafe of water all to myself 😉 The service was impeccable, with a touch of humor that made for a wonderful experience. I'll be back in September, as I won't be in the area at the moment.

Everything was exceptional: the inventive and flavorful cuisine made with outstanding ingredients, the impeccable service from attentive staff, and the perfectly paced service. 11/05/2026: After a hike in Vézeronce that morning, we were looking for a restaurant. We weren't disappointed: set menu for €28, salad for €19, children's menu for €12. The staff were very pleasant. The beef cheek was a real treat, and the salads were very generous. We will definitely return.
