10/09/2024: A very nice discovery. Delicious from starter to dessert! Incredible flavors! Professional and relaxed service. Impressive value for money considering the quality. Nice decoration. Despite the crowds there wasn't too much noise. Just perfect! I absolutely recommend!

24/08/2024: In an unlikely place we discover this jewel. It's superb. Neat and welcoming decoration. I've only been to the restaurant. Generous dishes like we don't see many anymore, in splendid weather we had lunch on the terrace next to the swimming pool which only added an added bonus. The only downside was a slightly overworked waitress who shouted the names of the dishes to us. Then she relaxed (she wasn't idle, poor thing) and her colleague, one of the boss's sons, was great. Lots of humor, great interpersonal skills. We will come back and we encourage you to come!

22/08/2024: A stopover on the way back from vacation, a discovery by chance on Google maps. Close to the highway but in the countryside, the setting is relaxing. Very spacious room, large terrace. We had dinner at the restaurant, reserved by phone, and we loved it. We played gourmet by taking à la carte dishes... Very very hearty... and tasty Which prevented us from having the desserts which nevertheless seemed delicious!!!! The stage menu at 27 euros would have been a better choice, that's what we will do next time, because we will come back!!! Certainly the service may not seem entirely academic... But the kindness more than makes up for it. Exceptional meat cooking, (see instructions on the menu 😅) gargantuan starters, desserts... Wow 😜 Ps: book the hotel by telephone for a better rate, don't stop at the telephone reception for a bit... Simple and efficient ☺️ Looking forward to coming back!!!

01/09/2024: August 15, 2024: family of 7 people Excellent products, tasty and carefully prepared. The attentive service with the customer, we even come to stir the fondue with a smile, and a little humor always on point. If I come back to Valmorel, I will return to this excellent restaurant.

31/08/2024: In fact, there are some great restaurants in the resort?! Well at least one, the little prince is really the place to have lunch and dinner in Valmorel.

20/09/2024: Le meilleur sur restaurant de Porto. Comme tous les ans nous sommes allés chez Jean Pierre, cette année la cuisine était encore meilleure que les années précédentes. On est au Paradis au Sud !

14/09/2024: Le lieu est séduisant et l'acceuil est courtois. Pour le reste, c'est un vrai piège à con. Un repas à 2 pour 162 euros avec : 1 pastis, 1 côte de boeuf (annoncé à 1,2 kg🤣) 1 bouteille de vin, 1 déca. Bref, à éviter absolument.

22/09/2024: Nous avions réservé à l'intérieur. Des tables bien espacées avec des fauteuils en guise de sièges. Entrées de poisson, moules en plat principal, marinières pour ma femme et bretonnes pour moi, accompagnées de frites. Très copieux. Je pris un far breton en déssert. Tout était bon, et le personnel toujours souriant. Une bonne soirée.

17/09/2024: Actually blown away! The warmest welcome we have received in France followed by the best food we have had EVER. You’ve read it here if I win the lottery this is my party place It feels like a family run place everyone is friendly and although our French is poor it didn’t make a difference we felt welcome and comfortable. We shared a melted Camembert starter & putting balsamic on the rind made it even better My wife had a mixed fish dish and her smoked mackerel was delicious. My hake was also out of this world. Pudding g was the crumble and chocolate fondue followed by a delicious coffee. There was some lovely banter with the owners. Why are you looking to eat anywhere else? You may walk past as we did and go to a busy bar nearby but there’s a reason this restaurant is fully booked and they shoehorned us in on the outside but their warmth didn’t make it cold!

17/09/2024: Très déçu par rapport aux avis. Le menu a 25 € comprenait un plat (croque, steak haché,pâtes) et un dessert. Autant manger chez mcdo. L’huile des frites était à changer. Café amer sans chocolat ni gâteau. Serveuse plus occupée à attraper le chaland dans la galerie qu a s occuper des clients. Un monsieur à côté de moi a demandé un café gourmand, plusieurs fois à préciser gourmand, mais la serveuse n a pas pris le temps de l écouter donc il a eu un café et s est fait rembarrer. Quand à la cuisine maison j ai des doutes…. Quant au menu affiche sur ardoise il faudrait qu il soit lisible pour tout le monde. Conclusion c est la 1ere fois et la dernière fois

22/09/2024: It seems very unreal. to find such a gem in a half-abandoned mountain village: traditional French dishes are prepared here by hand using fresh products - all very simple, you could say. But everything is perfect: the doneness of the ice cream, the aroma of the salad dressing, the fresh bread, the crispy beignets... and all of this with friendly service and very fair prices. A real culinary highlight, the detour is worth it.
