Oops, I forgot the appetizer with the aperitif: the charcuterie was delicious! All in a typical and authentic setting. It feels like a Sologne inn.

29/01/2026: And here's a restaurant just the way we like it. You push open the door and the owner welcomes you like you're in the South of France. No need to ask for the menu; the owner, as always, will charm you like Alphonse Daudet recounting his Letters from His Windmill. Because when it comes to windmills, he knows his stuff! And let me tell you about his cooking, his beef, his pork, or his local poultry. And what's more, he knows a thing or two about cocktails, the rascal. After the duck hash, the hand-cut steak tartare, and the slow-cooked Norman chicken, the wine cellar makes an appearance at your table. We end with the owner's smile and tell ourselves we'll be back very soon. Thank you, Boss.

02/01/2026: A must-try if you're in Avranches. We came with my mother, my mother-in-law, and my 2 1/2-year-old son on December 26th. The children's menu is amazing. Finally, a restaurant that doesn't neglect its youngest customers. The options are just as delicious as the adult menu. Thank you! The prices are unbeatable, especially considering the quality of the food. Simple cuisine, but extremely well executed. We thoroughly enjoyed both the white fish and the beef. The service was impeccable. It had been a long time since that had happened. My son was served before us, which was perfect because, as parents, we know that little ones can be impatient. We were therefore able to enjoy our aperitif and savor our meal in peace. Kudos to the servers! I will definitely return next time we're in Avranches!

25/01/2026: A wonderful discovery! A friend recommended it to us. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. We received a very warm welcome and our needs were taken care of. I had called to ask if they had vegan options, and they informed me that they would be happy to accommodate me and asked if I ate mushrooms. Upon our arrival, they asked who was vegan and explained what was planned for me. I felt truly valued, which was very pleasant. The food was a delightful discovery. It was a real pleasure, both for the meat-eaters in our party (my partner) and for the vegans in my party (meat-eaters). I highly recommend this establishment. We will be back. I am very grateful to the chefs for creating such excellent vegan dishes. I also thank our waitress who explained the menu clearly. My partner loved the meat, which melted in his mouth. (The amuse-bouche board had a meat-eater side on the left and a vegan side on the right. It was delicious.)

The welcome, the service, the friendly atmosphere, the delicious food, and the small glass of red wine recommended by the owner were all excellent. A truly enjoyable experience.
