17/03/2026: We were very warmly welcomed at the restaurant. Florence, who took care of us, was extremely friendly and welcoming. Her jokes made the evening even more enjoyable, and we felt very comfortable. We had an appetizer, followed by wine and meat. Everything we ate was truly delicious. Both the quality of the food and the service were excellent. We especially want to thank Florence for her attention, energy, and lovely conversation. Thanks to her, we had a very pleasant evening. We will definitely be back.

17/03/2026: We had a lovely evening. Despite the change of ownership, we were well served and welcomed by Florence, the restaurant manager, who was very friendly, helpful, and always smiling. It's a shame she's not staying. 🫤 I had meat, and it was very tender. I recommend this restaurant; I go there regularly.

06/06/2026: The view was still magnificent, the staff attentive and efficient, it's a shame we were seated near large, very noisy tables when there were quieter places available for a meal for 5. Not being able to hear each other really spoiled our meal.

16/06/2026: We waited a very long time between courses (almost half an hour before our order was taken, then almost 20 minutes between each course). The service was far from friendly, bordering on intrusive. As for the fries, they were as hard as wood, as was the bread. Having been a regular at Hippopotamus, I was rather disappointed with this one.

12/05/2026: No frills, we're here to eat and you won't be disappointed. Two dishes with fries: mussels or ham. Even when it's busy, the service is good. And it's delicious! 😀 The photo shows a portion for two!

09/06/2026: Fantastic experience, beautiful location, great service. Classic structural architecture and room design combined with a modern guest experience. Location on Lake Annecy is ++. Our room was floor 3 facing the lake - moderate temps enabled us to sleep with windows open to smell and feel the cool lake air. Took a fun cycling tour around the lake with a lunch stop in Annecy - quaint, interesting town. Menus were classic French and high quality. Only downside - numerous patrons who smoke cigarettes sitting in public areas. Smell permeates most public spaces, including the indoor bar area, the outdoor balcony area. Be prepared and be patient.

09/06/2026: A superb establishment that retains its old-world charm while offering modern amenities. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. A stunning, uninterrupted view of the lake.

12/03/2026: Delicious meal. Adaptation of the starter (cheese allergy): Replaced with cured ham. A delight! Beautiful vaulted dining room and very large tables for two people – it's rare to see that.

02/03/2026: I would like to give a glowing recommendation for the Hôtel du Nord. We had a very pleasant night there: the room was perfectly quiet, allowing us to sleep undisturbed. Moreover, the room rate is very affordable, offering excellent value for money. My wife and I also dined there, and it was a true delight. The meal was delicious, prepared with excellent regional ingredients, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef showcases each ingredient remarkably well and brings out all the subtle nuances of the products. Again, the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality offered. In short, we had a wonderful time and have very fond memories of our stay. We highly recommend this establishment.
