12/04/2026: Very good beer and wine selection even at the very end of the season for Samoëns. We would really like to come back in the summertime. The staff are very friendly and the location is easily accessible on skis from anywhere in the Grand Massif resort or via Gondola.

08/04/2026: Where to begin? Just to clarify, there were 2 servers and 5 tables for a maximum of 20 covers… A 25-minute wait for a Coke with ice and lemon and a beer. The Coke arrived without ice or lemon… great start… The charcuterie board, ordered at the same time, arrived after 45 minutes… No bread, no butter… When I asked the server for butter, he told me they didn't have any… I asked for a piece of cooking butter because, yes, good charcuterie goes perfectly with good buttered bread, but apparently, that only exists in my world… Then came an interminable wait for the two pizzas ordered at the same time as the drinks and the charcuterie… The staff seemed overwhelmed, frantic, or desperate. We finally left the table without having received the pizzas after a 1 hour and 45 minute wait… Their excuse? End of season… You won't see us again… and a word of advice: if you're looking for a quick lunch between runs, don't come here… 1 star because I can't give 0…

26/07/2026: A proper old school Lyonaisse Bouchon. No outside seating, not a tourist trap, the menu says if you’re in a hurry you’re in the wrong place. Family place with old photos on the wall - a small menu of classic local dishes - some strong dishes of tripe and pigs feet for the brave. Loved it here.

18/05/2026: We came as a group of six for the Ascension weekend and had a very pleasant stay. Our mobile home was a premium model, very well equipped. Nothing was lacking. The terrace was perfect for relaxing. The activities offered didn't interest us (we came to explore the area by motorbike), but we did enjoy the heated, covered swimming pool. The water sports center is excellent, and the boat trips through the gorges are breathtaking. The staff, whether at reception, in the restaurant, the grocery store, or at the water sports center, are friendly, professional, and always smiling. We highly recommend this establishment.

14/07/2026: Extremely unpleasant waiter (bearded with receding hairlines), after waiting 15 minutes for a maximum of four beers, he gestured for me to come closer like a dog, didn't even say hello, threw the card reader on the counter, and of course, didn't say goodbye at the end of this delightful service. This opinion was shared by the other diners and even some tourists.

11/08/2026: A very good restaurant in the city center. We ate well, the service was very friendly, and we had a great time. The only slight downside: after our plates were cleared, we waited quite a while before being called back to take our order. We felt a bit forgotten 😅. But it was still a very good experience, and we would gladly return!

10/08/2026: Meal on the terrace. We chose seared tuna and seared Italian tartare. The amount of tuna was incredible, accompanied by soy sauce and vegetables. A real treat. The seared Italian carpaccio was equally delicious. It was served with mashed potatoes, nicely seasoned with butter. The service was impeccable despite the restaurant being packed. Highly recommended if you're in the Place d'Armes in Calais.

Even the cheddar burger was a failure. What a disappointment.
