02/09/2026: A place that perfectly captures the French way of life: uncomplicated, welcoming, and tasteful. What we especially appreciated was the friendly and warm atmosphere; we immediately felt at ease. And the fact that our "little" dog, a Leonberger, was so warmly welcomed made the evening perfect for us. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy our last evening in France before our journey home!

12/08/2026: A quick stop on our way back to Alsace: friendly, smiling people, a simple yet delicious meal, and a lovely terrace shaded by beautiful trees. A welcoming place where the locals seemed like family.

22/09/2026: I came in for a drink after shopping at the market. To be told, "I have to hit you to get you moving," while waiting for a table inside. Simply unacceptable. And having to report it, feeling like I'm just bothering some of the managers, what a joy. Luckily, not all the servers there are that friendly, otherwise, good luck.

20/09/2026: The wait was far too long. Servers walked past you 50 times but never came to take your order.

11/10/2026: A truly excellent place: the wood-fired meat is superb, the setting is authentic, and the service is impeccable. In fact, I enjoyed this establishment so much that I regularly brought my dog, for whom the staff always kindly prepared some bones to take away. The bill came to around €85 for one person, and I left a €10 tip because the service was so good. At this price point, I would have appreciated a complimentary digestif. It's not mandatory, of course, but it's a thoughtful touch that makes a difference and encourages a return visit. It's a shame, because it wouldn't have taken much for the experience to be perfect. For me, this slight disappointment means I won't be back. It's regrettable, as they're losing a loyal customer who genuinely appreciated their establishment.

20/09/2026: A fantastic evening with friends at L’Estanco! We had a wonderful evening at this charming open-air café. A friendly atmosphere, delicious, generous, and flavorful homemade food, all at very reasonable prices. A big thank you to Christophe and his entire team for their warm welcome, kindness, and good humor. We immediately felt at ease, and it's exactly the kind of place where you love to spend a lovely evening with friends. A truly great spot in Dions that we highly recommend! We will definitely be back!

30/08/2026: A last-minute, impromptu meal! Really nice... warm welcome and service... I have to tell myself... A "revisited" steak tartare that wasn't really one, peas instead of capers... I wasn't exactly prepared... well, it was mentioned on the menu... no big deal because I had a good time in good company... I'd definitely go back.

19/06/2026: The hotel and rooms are fantastic. The Michelin-starred restaurant is wonderful (especially the cheese selection and the sommelier). However, it's unacceptable that a hotel of this category and price has a bistro with such a limited and ordinary menu, and that the breakfast is also somewhat limited in its offerings and quality.

07/06/2026: A dream weekend at the estate, an elegant yet rustic setting nestled in the tranquility of a magnificent forest. Charming residences, a very comfortable room in the Pavilion, and a delightful breakfast served both indoors and outdoors. Impeccable service, everything was perfect.

21/08/2026: Pleasant, flower-filled setting. The kebab wasn't tender, the scallops were okay, and the andouillette sausage had large chunks. The desserts were so-so! Service: minimal. Not a must-visit despite its particularly pleasant location.

07/10/2026: I'm usually quite satisfied with this crêperie, but last week I bought eight galettes: they were full of holes and sticky. I reported it the next day, and the two young women told me they were aware of the problem, that the batter had been spoiled, and that they had done the best they could. So, knowingly, they sold substandard galettes that were difficult to fill at the full price, completely disregarding customer satisfaction. An honest business owner would have either: 1) Thrown away the spoiled batter. 2) Sold it at a reduced price, after informing their customers. 3) At least apologized to the customer who reported the problem, perhaps offering a gesture of goodwill. This has put me off going back.

13/09/2026: A very friendly place. The galettes are excellent, made with quality ingredients. The concept: eat the galettes in cones, not on a plate. The recipes are simple and effective, with daily specials. You can eat in, however, the seating is a bit cramped, and be careful if it's sunny. That said, it doesn't detract from the fact that it's a great place!

17/09/2026: Nice place, friendly staff. People come here to enjoy the peace and quiet and the view. HOWEVER: I had a bad experience with the diots. Well, if you can even call them that. Given their size, they lacked flavor and sauce! Not to mention the side dish and the waterlogged potatoes!! I'm not being chauvinistic, but when you're in Haute-Savoie and you're offering a local dish, you have a duty to use good ingredients! We have plenty of good producers nearby. Hoping this might help others avoid disappointment.

31/08/2026: Good value for your money, great place for brunch. The eggs are excellently poached, and the accompanying sauce along with the protein are great as well.

06/10/2026: Very disappointed! We had a wonderful meal two years ago and were happy to repeat the experience with friends. Unfortunately, it was the same menu... but nothing like it! The aioli was mediocre beyond mediocre, made with frozen, boiled fish! The stew was apparently better, but in very small portions! Nothing to write home about. So, we won't be going back! It's a shame because the setting is nice.

07/10/2026: A quality crêperie. The galettes are delicious and made with local ingredients. The kouign amann is scrumptious. They accept large dogs.

24/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at La Chebaudière. The food was delicious, a lovely blend of flavors, and the whole family enjoyed it. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, and we appreciated the friendly service and warm welcome.

14/08/2026: The welcome was polite but impersonal. My main course wasn't cooked and, after being sent back to the kitchen, was barely warm. The portions were tiny. My teenager left hungry and needed a pasta dish to take home. We hadn't even finished our aperitifs when the starters were served.... It's a shame, it was a place I remembered fondly... I might give it another try, we'll see. Perhaps it was the heatwave...
