29/04/2026: Like all the previous reviews, the manager Karine of this restaurant is truly haughty and unpleasant! We arrived at 2 pm, just the two of us, and the restaurant was empty! I told her I was going to eat and my husband wasn't, and since I'm seven months pregnant, she imposed a €10 cover charge on us! I told her he was going to have dessert and a drink, but she insisted and said that we were in a restaurant, the principle is to order a main course, so she was respecting the chain's policy and we had to pay an extra €10! I've been eating at all the Bistrot Régent restaurants in Bordeaux for years and I've never seen anyone so unpleasant! I called another restaurant in Bordeaux to see if they could accommodate us and explained the situation. They told me no problem, they don't operate like that at the moment, and we'd already heard and knew how unpleasant she is!

On the plate, the promise is meticulously fulfilled. The grilled salmon is a resounding success, perfectly cooked, with melt-in-your-mouth flesh and a truly authentic flavor. Nothing is left to chance, and it shows immediately. But the real surprise undoubtedly comes from the side dishes: the fries, often relegated to the background, reach a remarkable level here. They are melt-in-your-mouth tender and fluffy throughout, unmistakably evoking the great classics of Northern France with that authentic, genuine flavor. 22/04/2026: The menu clearly marks dishes that are also available gluten-free. The server also explained exactly which dishes were gluten-free. I had gluten-free bread with cheese, brie, and pear, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the taste, nor was I with the crème brûlée for dessert.

21/04/2026: Probably the best food I’ve had since arriving in France. The duck breast and octopus dishes were excellence, and Stephan was a fantastic host who taught us about wine and made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend eating here if you’re visiting Nice.

19/05/2026: The room where we spent the night was in the turret, very spacious with a lovely modern bathroom and a more traditional sleeping area. The view was beautiful. The only downside: very unpleasant noises from the plumbing/air conditioning all night long. We discussed it in the morning with a member of staff who seemed aware of the problem, but there didn't seem to be a solution. I recommend bringing earplugs. We also had dinner at the restaurant. It was quite good, the tables were well-spaced, which was nice, and the service was attentive. However, the decor is rather basic and lacks warmth; a touch of freshness and modernity would make a big difference. Overall, the location is good for exploring the region.

15/04/2026: A very good restaurant in the heart of Vesoul's old town, with a lovely atmosphere and unique, very welcoming decor. We opted for the largest set menu; the price was quite reasonable, and it was incredibly filling—so much so that we skipped the cheese course, even though we're big fans of it, being from the Franche-Comté region! I sincerely recommend it; moreover, the lunch prices are more than reasonable.

25/04/2026: I advise anyone wanting to eat Basque chicken against going to this restaurant. Stop by the bakery first and you'll get good bread! Just have a coffee and you won't be disappointed.

26/04/2026: The service was fine for me, the food was good, but I witnessed an exchange between the staff that made me uncomfortable. Some of the things said by the young man behind the counter and the waitress seemed discriminatory towards Muslims. I think it's important to report this so it doesn't happen again!

25/11/2025: The welcome was terrible... The hamburger had no sheep's cheese, or at least you really had to look for it because halfway through the burger, I had to look inside... I didn't see or smell any cheese before! I don't like a hamburger without cheese... Furthermore, it felt like a canteen for professionals and muscle-bound people... Besides, we were packed in like sardines... And to get up from the table, you can't be overweight, otherwise it's impossible... On the other hand, the blonde waitress was very friendly... Frankly, I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant! Yuck!
