09/12/2025: Good evening. We went there this Saturday. The atmosphere was just okay. Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost its charm with the new decor, which is certainly modern but has no connection to Leon's origins (beaches, Belgium, the name of all the mussel dishes). The aprons on each server used to give a nice, local touch from the north. Before, we had a wide selection of mussels (more than ten) and waffles too. Now there are only four or five mussel dishes, no more seafood, and a few other dishes, but nothing special. The casserole size has been reduced, as has the portion of fries. And the beer selection is limited to three amber beers. The famous Leon waffle/Grandpa Leon waffle is no longer available, even though we came specifically for it. The waitress was pleasant, but nothing more. I think the new designers are trying to appeal to a younger clientele (I'm one of them, but they've missed the mark) with a rather bland atmosphere. The Hawaiian/beach theme has nothing to do with what was presented before... it could have been improved, but we were disappointed; there were other ideas they could have used. So, we've been coming for years, but frankly, we won't be back because we're disappointed with the choice.

26/01/2026: We came this weekend to celebrate a birthday at this hotel, specifically at the La Cour restaurant, before having a drink at the Le Madrigal bar. The bar has changed a lot: it now offers a beautiful view of the bottles and the bar counter, and the lounge area is very pleasant. The La Cour restaurant, with its glass roof, is bathed in light; this Saturday, the sun was shining, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We enjoyed a delicious Coteaux-du-Layon, as well as a glass of rosé champagne, accompanied by a slice of Chartres pâté. For our main courses, we had an excellent vol-au-vent, followed by scallops served with a smooth purée and a perfectly executed gratin dauphinois. To finish, an absolutely delicious Grand Marnier soufflé, served in a small glass—a very clever touch that allows you to control the amount of Grand Marnier you enjoy. The service was expertly handled by Isabelle, who was kind, friendly, and attentive from beginning to end. She even sang "Happy Birthday" to conclude the occasion, making us feel right at home. We had a wonderful time and were delighted to meet the hotel-restaurant's chef, Georges Thomas Parnaud, with whom we chatted and took a photo. He was very friendly and took the time to share this special birthday moment with us. We will definitely be back very soon. A big thank you to the entire team.

03/03/2026: We ate lunch here, having been referred by Physaro. The welcome was cold, the service was slow, and the food was canteen-style: turkey and gnocchi in varying portions. For dessert, a knife and fork would have been necessary instead of a soup spoon and fork. Only the setting was pleasant.

31/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic! The owner (both men and women) is incredibly welcoming. The dishes were delicious and generous. A truly excellent place. The restaurant is located uphill, but you can easily reach it by elevator. We had a wonderful evening.

14/03/2026: It's called a bistro, but it's more of a fine dining restaurant given the quality of the dishes, which are very refined. Furthermore, the ingredients are very fresh and expertly prepared by the chefs. You can also order a good wine to accompany your meal. I highly recommend it.

21/06/2025: A very nice evening this Saturday, June 20, 2025, accompanied by my 3 colleagues. The menu is varied. The dishes are very, very generous. The plates are elegantly presented. The food is fresh. We were able to enjoy the outdoor terrace, which is cozy and quiet. The waitresses are very discreet and helpful. Right up until the end, when we spoke with the gentleman to pay, we were not disappointed. I recommend it 💯%.

03/03/2026: We had the hot stone grill, the meat was very good. We tried all three types and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, it was fantastic.

13/02/2026: We came with colleagues after work for a few beers, to watch a match and have a bite to eat. We were on a long trip and we enjoyed every moment spent there. Thanks again and I hope to see you soon.

05/03/2026: A delightful discovery... It's a small world, as we even found a village in Corsica! A friendly atmosphere and a delicious meal. Kudos to the chef for his dessert and his "mouse à la piètre" (a type of Corsican pastry)... We will gladly return during our next holiday in the area.

16/02/2026: Authentic french food! We felt like we tried enough Alsatian food, and wanted to have something different. This restaurant was great - they had good french dishes and wines! The atmosphere was very cozy, it looked like a French restaurant. The owner (i think) spoke English well. The dishes were very tasty! Couldn't find pictures if all we ordered, but the pasta was good as well.
