08/12/2025: This hotel is well located: close to the activities Saumur has to offer, yet peaceful. Magnificent view of the town and its castle. The welcome was impeccable and pleasant. A true focus on customer service. The room we booked was perfect. The decor could use a refresh, as the gray, black, and red tones lack vibrancy. The breakfast is very generous and complete. The homemade pudding is amazing!

03/12/2025: Super spacious room with plenty of room to move around, even with a crib. Great view of Saumur Castle from the terrace! Very welcoming receptionist and a very good breakfast! Thank you ☺️

19/09/2024: Very long for very little. €44 for 3 alcoholic drinks and 1 “starter”. Very low alcoholic drinks. Starter of spreads without bread, just breadsticks. Not even towels. Minimum service for an unacceptable price. Nice waiters except one (whom his superior had surely asked to do this) who asked a lady who was pulling for her show (without bothering anyone) to leave.

09/12/2025: I simply introduced myself to wash my hands, something a very friendly gentleman allowed me to do, and upon leaving I was practically chased away like an insect when a "woman," or at least someone who looked like one, asked me, "WHO ARE YOU???" as if I were about to rob her bar. A very strange and disrespectful welcome, but I have a pretty good idea why I was greeted that way... ^^

Each dish delights the eyes with its exquisite presentation and enchants all the senses with its succulence. The portions are generous. The decor is magnificent; the dining room is very spacious and truly bright. Photos: Poached egg in red wine, pan-fried mushrooms and country bacon, meat jus. Pollock fillet with a creamy herb broth. Chocolate fondant. The poaching of the egg. Sylvie delicately pairs the egg and the wine. This perfect union creates the sweetest sensation on the palates of every captivated and delighted guest. 08/07/2025: 🌟 A gourmet gem you absolutely must discover! 🌟 We've been to La Brûlerie for lunch several times, and we're always delighted! The food is homemade, using fresh, seasonal, and delicious ingredients, and it's evident in every plate. The dishes are balanced and prepared with true expertise. In addition to the delicious food, they offer excellent coffee and very good teas. A truly gourmet experience, from start to finish. And the service is excellent: friendly, attentive, and unfussy. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere—exactly what you need for a great time!

13/06/2025: Nice but nothing more, the service was very nice but the coffee didn't have a particular flavor for a roaster, which was a shame, the cheese tart was too salty.

02/12/2024: Excellente découverte ! Déjeuner en terrasse au soleil avec vue sur le fort de Socoa… La pariada Royale était vraiment composée d’excellents produits frais, goûteux et juteux ! La cuisson parfaitement maîtrisée, le homard bleu, les gros gambas, grosses langoustines et le merlu étaient un vrai bonheur pour nos papilles ! Et les desserts divins ! Le gâteau Basque à la pistache et le baba au rhum étaient succulents ! Le frais, le fait maison, les produits nobles , de qualité et d’une extrême fraîcheur ! Nous avons hâte de revenir pour goûter la poulpe !! Sans oublier L’adorable serveuse ! Merci à toute l’équipe pour ce merveilleux moment. À très vite..

10/09/2024: Retourner à la marmite Dieppoise pour … manger une marmite. Nous avons pris le menu étape marmite dieppoise à 40 €. Petit amuse bouche (servi tous les menus) : rillettes de saumon et pain grillé. Pour commencer une marmite dieppoise, bonne mais dommage que la sole ait été remplacée par de la raie. (Ce sera mon seul bémol). Assortiment de fromages. Tarte aux pommes chaudes avec crème fraîche, caramel et sorbet pommes. Accueil et service agréable et pro.

08/12/2025: The L’Alliance restaurant in Amboise, slightly out of the way, offers truly excellent, flavorful, and well-prepared cuisine that is definitely worth the detour. The service is adequate, if not exceptional, and the somewhat underwhelming setting doesn't quite do justice to the quality of the food. A great place to eat well, despite an atmosphere that could be improved.

22/11/2025: Excellent cuisine, with real attention paid to allergens. Quick and friendly service. The restaurant is unfortunately not very busy, but we had a very pleasant evening and our taste buds were delighted.

The service was seamless and professional, and we particularly appreciated the attention they gave us, especially the fact that they let us taste all the canapés during the cocktail hour—a detail that made all the difference! 06/01/2026: Fantastic staff, very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was typical Irish pub, loud music, sports on many tvs. Nice change from the usual European bar experience. Food was generally excellent and great value. My one complaint: the banoffee desert was just a broken biscuit, with sliced banana, whipped cream from a can, and some caramel/toffee sauce. All served in a drinking glass. Apart from that, I would definitely recommend and revisit.

03/10/2024: I had high expectations for Ladurée on the Champs-Élysées, given its worldwide reputation for luxury and fine dining. The décor and building were truly magnificent--elegant, sophisticated, and perfectly Parisian. The food itself was as good as you would expect, although the prices were outrageously high. I assumed this was for the service and experience, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The hostess was sweet and professional, setting what I thought would be a pleasant tone for the rest of the meal. That's where the positives ended. Our server, who was apparently named Sarah (according to our receipt), was shockingly rude and hostile from the moment she approached our table. She had round, thin-framed glasses and brown hair clipped up, and her attitude was one of sheer disdain. She rolled her eyes, crossed her arms, and quite literally slammed the menu on the table when I asked simple questions. She was directly and obviously trying to glare me down. Her aggressive body language and eye-rolling were so blatant that I had to turn to my husband and ask, "Are you seeing this too? Is something wrong?" We were both bewildered. It felt like we were being punished for simply existing in her section. Her behavior was so unprofessional and extreme that I was on the verge of leaving, but when I made a point of speaking loudly about it to my husband--loud enough for her to hear--her attitude very slightly improved. However, the damage was done, and the rest of the experience was completely ruined. This is supposed to be a high-end, luxurious dining experience, yet I've never received worse service anywhere ever. You can bet that you’d receive better service at McDonald's. Sarah didn't just disrespect us, she disrespected herself and the restaurant with her utter lack of dignity. How does someone like her get hired at an establishment of this caliber? It's mind-boggling. On top of all this, the menu stated my brunch order came with two sides, but thanks to her unbearable demeanor, I forgot to follow up, and I ended up with a sad, plain omelette. So not only was the service atrocious, but I didn't even get the meal I ordered. Time is precious, especially when on vacation. Choosing where to dine is part of the experience, and this was an absolute waste--of time, money, and energy. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated with contempt at exorbitant prices.

26/10/2025: Don't hesitate to step inside this restaurant, which may not look like much from the outside, but will delight you with its authentic and generous cuisine. It's one of those rare establishments where the owner visits his customers at the table to ensure their satisfaction. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the menus, which were entirely homemade, carefully and tastefully prepared. Excellent value for money. We'll be back!

19/10/2025: We came on the recommendation of a friend. The dishes were generous and very good, and the chef took great care with the dishes, especially regarding the proper cooking of the meat. A little music in the background would add a warmer atmosphere! We recommend it!
