15/06/2026: Well, it worked for me! Good vibes from the moment I arrived and throughout the service: a thin tomato tart, then sausage with aligot, followed by a chocolate crisp. Chef Roberto Flores was off work, but his team delivered on this sunny Monday lunchtime. My first bottle of Remus de la Taille aux Loups since Jacky Blot's passing: a marvel of Montlouis in its 2024 vintage ("The future is secure," which is the noblest posthumous tribute one can pay to a winemaker). All in all, not a tourist trap, quite the opposite: a bistro/brasserie with a pleasant atmosphere that does Paris proud. Don't forget to visit Saint-Louis-en-l'Île, a quiet, little-known church where you sometimes feel as if you're at the very heart of the creation of France "sub specie durationis."

26/05/2026: I have no complaints about the coffee quality, but I was disappointed that they stopped serving coffee half an hour before closing time. I found this café based on Google recommendations and spent 20 minutes traveling there to enjoy a good cup of coffee and relieve a headache, and I was really disappointed not to be served after taking the time to come all the way there. If it's only 10-15 minutes before closing, no problem, but stopping so early is really strange, even for France, and especially for foreign tourists. So, while the coffee quality might be good, you need to be more customer-oriented.

01/06/2026: A beautiful place. Betty is incredibly kind and admirable. I would gladly return given the warm welcome. It feels like home. A lovely, peaceful spot where stopping here allows you to relax, even just for one night. As for the food, it's absolutely delicious and all homemade.

27/05/2026: Food 5 Service 5 Cost 4 Just happened to find this while staying at a nearby hotel. Went right at opening time (10:00) on a Sunday and saw several people seated already. Placed our order (a Pastrami and a turkey sandwich), in English as typical non-French-speaking tourists do, and the guy behind the counter didn't blink an eye, unlike hospitality staff in some other European establishments. (By contrast, the wait staff in northern and central Switzerland Italian restaurants are unbearable with their pretentious Italian refusing to speak a single German or English word.) The food took a while but was great, both in presentation and flavor. Next thing we noticed, every seat was taken and it wasn't even 10:30, yet.The only downside was the stiff price tag, €44 for two sandwiches and two lemonades. But both food and service were delicious!

26/05/2026: There are places we love to visit because of the staff and their stickers! Paper Boy is one of them. Delicious and generous portions. Bonus: you can draw on their placemats, for both children and adults.

31/05/2026: We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Italy. The car could charge overnight (book in advance). We also booked dinner in advance and had a delicious meal. Breakfast is also well catered for. We had the standard room 5 times; it was very clean and had nice new bathrooms.
