16/05/2026: We came on a friend's recommendation and had a wonderful evening! The food was delicious, sophisticated, and creative, made with superb ingredients. The wine recommendations were excellent, so much so that we bought some to take away as well. The staff was very friendly and the venue is beautiful! Thank you for this wonderful evening and for your attentive service; we will gladly return for another delicious meal!

08/06/2026: A very distinctive place, it's a shame part of the mezzanine is closed. The staff were very friendly. The only downside: seated on the raised floor, the toilets were right next to our table. Otherwise, we'll definitely be back.

09/06/2026: Passing through Brocéliande, and being restaurant owners ourselves, we highly recommend this place! The welcome is excellent, the service very pleasant, the food superb, and the dishes beautifully presented! The decor is lovely, and the children's menu is perfect. Our daughters loved it!! 08/06/2026: We stopped by for lunch. The dining room is large but a bit noisy. There was a huge group there that day, and the sound echoed everywhere. The appetizers were good and generous. However, the veal was far too overcooked, as were the scallops. It was also not mentioned at all that there was a shrimp on the skewer, and we had someone with a shrimp allergy. That could have been very unpleasant. The dessert was good.

02/07/2026: A truly awful experience. The toast served with the foie gras was ancient and burnt. No apology. The drinks arrived late. Not recommended.

20/05/2026: The chef is skilled and imaginative. The layout is a drawback, with two tables for two people near the entrance and the kitchen, and the background music from a radio station that doesn't belong in a restaurant. Nevertheless, the restaurant has potential. I'll be back soon.

07/06/2026: A very disappointing experience despite the pleasant setting. The River Café's main advantage is its capacity to accommodate large tables, which is great for group meals. The setting on the banks of the Seine is also lovely, and the service was adequate throughout the meal. However, the quality of the food was a major disappointment, especially considering the prices. The two-course meal (starter and main) is advertised at €43, and the three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert) at €48, but many dishes and starters have additional charges of over €6, which quickly inflates the bill. We ordered sashimi with an extra charge: it was covered in an excessive amount of gray mayonnaise, completely obscuring the product. The quality was clearly lacking. The cod fritters seemed mass-produced or frozen and were far too salty. The fries arrived cold. As for the desserts, many of them looked more like mass-produced or defrosted products than pastries made on-site. Ultimately, despite a pleasant location and decent service, we found the value for money very poor. At this price point, one has the right to expect more refined cuisine and higher-quality ingredients. A disappointment.

24/06/2026: Tonight we went out for dinner to L'Antilope in Gauville sur Mer; it was nice and close by bike. We stayed sitting outside on the terrace in the sun, but inside it is unexpectedly spacious and therefore has a considerable capacity. The menu, presented in French and English, initially raised a few questions. But anyway, we really wanted to try the regional delicacies, so not the chicken or steak you can get everywhere. We both ordered a type of pancake made from buckwheat flour. It doesn't look very appetizing in the photos, but that turned out to be completely unfounded. They are downright delicious, unexpectedly tasty indeed. We had the version with minced beef and sausages, and it really left us wanting more. The dessert was also fine. The service was very friendly and helpful; a really nice spot for dinner.

25/04/2026: Very quick and efficient service; if you're in a hurry, this is the perfect place. It's a bit like the local canteen, and if you're willing to sit at the large table, the atmosphere is good and lively. The menu is simple, so don't expect fine dining ;-)

25/04/2026: I advise anyone wanting to eat Basque chicken against going to this restaurant. Stop by the bakery first and you'll get good bread! Just have a coffee and you won't be disappointed.
