During our stay, we went there several times because the restaurant was right across from our hotel, which was incredibly convenient. We enjoyed a Caesar salad, penne pasta, a custard tart, and a gourmet coffee. The portions were generous, and the value for money was excellent, especially for this part of Paris. The staff was welcoming, smiling, and friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. We also really appreciated the restaurant's decor and vintage atmosphere. Finally, a real bonus: we didn't need to make a reservation or wait, either at lunchtime or in the evening. A truly great place that we happily recommend! 🥗🍝

26/06/2026: In the middle of a heatwave (39 degrees outside), they refuse to let you order a drink or a coffee if you're not eating, even though the restaurant is half empty. Shameful.

16/09/2026: The bread was very dry, there was far too much mayonnaise, and barely any tuna. The dessert from the day before was also very dry and simply inedible. On top of that, the cashier was serving customers while on her phone, talking in another language. In short, a truly disappointing experience. A complete disaster; I won't be going back.

So I advise you to look at the menu carefully because I only ordered a small starter and a gourmet coffee with the rosé, and it came to €45. That's an expensive lunch!

14/10/2026: Visited on a weekday morning with my family, a table for three. From the start, communication was a challenge: when I asked in English whether they served omelets or a cheese plate, I was simply directed to scan a QR code for an English menu rather than receiving a straightforward answer. A minor inconvenience, but manageable. The real frustration came after our meal. Getting the check was an ordeal. I tried every reasonable way to catch our waiter’s attention, verbal, non-verbal, you name it, for nearly ten minutes, to the point where other diners around us visibly noticed and smiled. I finally had to physically step into the waiter’s path just to be acknowledged. If the restaurant has difficulty serving English-speaking guests, or if there are other limitations they’d prefer to be upfront about, a simple heads-up at the door would be far more respectful than leaving guests feeling invisible. We would have happily found somewhere else.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ _______________________ Update following the owner’s response: Just to clarify a rather important detail: not only did we observe the waiter bringing a payment terminal to other tables, but we ultimately paid by card at our own table as well. So the owner’s explanation that payment is handled exclusively at the till is rather puzzling, to say the least. What is more disappointing, however, is that instead of addressing the experience described, the owner chose to respond with sarcasm and personal remarks about my ability to speak French. My original review was about communication and basic courtesy, not language proficiency. Unfortunately, the owner’s public response only reinforces the impression we left with. I’ll leave future customers to draw their own conclusions.
