26/05/2026: A fantastic stop on the GR65. A very warm welcome. Excellent meals. Breakfast was also very good, but served a little late compared to other guesthouses (7:30 am). Fellow hikers: don't carry extra water between Aumont and Nasbinals! There are plenty of drinking water fountains along the way!

19/05/2026: Superb hotel! The location is magnificent, surrounded by forests. The hotel and rooms are beautifully decorated. The couple who own the establishment are lovely, and the husband even gave us excellent advice for hiking on the GR65. Dinner and breakfast are excellent—ah, the homemade aligot! I recommend this hotel without hesitation.

17/09/2026: Great home cooked food. The young lady who runs/owns this business cooks and serves all the food. Lunch is a hot/cold offering which can be taken away or eaten in the small are or outside. No problem here about food sourcing, it's all made here. A local go to. A super find against the 'tourist restaurants' nearby. 100% recommended. A plus is that the owner speaks English.

18/09/2026: Unfortunately, we cannot agree with the other reviews. First of all, the service was very rushed. This made us feel very stressed; we didn't receive a menu and had to ask the waiter to come back for it. Furthermore, we ordered a decaf coffee and received something else entirely, but definitely not coffee. The price for it was outrageous (€6.50). Even though the food arrived quickly, it lacked any seasoning. The quiches were so tasteless, and the "soup" was cold. The "salad" consisted only of leaves with a dressing on them. The prices for the food were okay, and the ambiance was quite cute. However, it's incomprehensible to us how it can be so crowded. What a shame!

08/10/2026: I ordered a slice of beef steak, and the meat was inedible—it was so tough and full of gristle. I've never seen anything like it in a beef steak. In the end, it cost €19 for a beer and fries. I won't be back.

21/06/2026: I was invited to a wedding at this venue, and everything was magical. The venue itself was stunning, the cocktail hour was delightful, and the main course was simply excellent. As for the service, everything was perfect from start to finish; the staff were impeccable from beginning to end. Thank you to them; we (at least as guests) had a wonderful day.

21/02/2026: It used to be a reliable choice, but that's no longer the case. Be aware that the menu online is not the one offered in the restaurant. It's more expensive and the dishes are less elaborate. It's still good, but nothing special. The dishes are barely hot enough. The Parmentier tastes good with plenty of duck, but there's hardly enough mashed potato. The truffle mashed potato is also very good, but there's too much truffle, which overwhelms the flavor of the fish.

15/10/2026: This was one of the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We ordered drinks and they surprised us with this amazing truffle popcorn that was very tasty. We had the beef tataki with chimichurri and let me tell you something. This was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. So many flavours that you taste individually and they all complement each other perfectly, so good that you just close your eyes and enjoy the dance in your mouth. And then there was the duck, perfectly cooked with wine sauce and some grilled vegetables on top of that they give you a big bowl of potatoes with cheese. For dessert we took the alpine pie and it was also an incredible ending to the dinner. The staff was professional and friendly the dishes came out perfectly timed and everyone there was paying attention to our table always. I highly recommend this restaurant you will be very happy with the experience.

15/10/2026: We ordered three smoked raclettes. We would have liked a stronger smoky flavor in the cheese. The charcuterie was good, but there wasn't enough... in short, it was good, but I'm not sure it was worth the €100 bill for three raclettes, two beers, and a Coke. Very expensive for what it was.

07/09/2026: It would actually be a nice place to linger. Unfortunately, it's closed. The owner apparently doesn't think it's necessary to inform his guests about the correct opening hours. Otherwise, 5 stars.

04/09/2026: Was supposed to be open according to their own Google and Facebook pages. Arrived there at 12:45 on a Friday after a hike of about 4km (elevation climb 450 meters) just to receive a rude “fermé”. Very disappointing
