02/02/2026: As usual, we keep coming back for the same reasons: a fantastic welcome, delicious food at reasonable prices considering the quantity and quality (because let's be realistic, we're not spending €15 per person at a restaurant anymore 😂). In short, a pleasant experience, whether inside in winter or on the terrace in summer – go without hesitation.

01/02/2026: We ate there for the first time last night. Passing through Lyon for the weekend. We had a wonderful meal! From the appetizer to the dessert, including the service, everything was impeccable. 👌 I had the best onion soup of my life! Thanks again to the chef. We highly recommend it and we'll definitely be back.

26/12/2025: We went to eat at this restaurant using a gift certificate. Unfortunately, I forgot the certificate at home. I immediately asked if I could return it the next day, but the staff refused any solution, insisting we pay full price. I returned the following day with the certificate, requesting an extension for the following year, and again, they refused to change the date. No understanding, no gesture of goodwill. Very disappointing, a complete lack of business sense and human decency.

14/12/2025: Hello, we came as a group of colleagues. I ordered a cordon bleu with Munster sauce. I didn't receive my fries, and since there were several of us, they gave us four small baskets of fries to share. I asked the waiter if my fries would arrive, and he assured me they would, and that he was alone in the kitchen. So I ate my meat with about ten fries, which was the only thing that disappointed me; I was left wanting more. I paid for just a chicken dish. Very disappointed.

09/07/2025: After eating at Kent several times, it's time to form an opinion. The ideally located establishment offers an affordable menu, highlighting fresh, local produce (the manager often talks about the producers he sources from). The dishes are good and generous. The atmosphere is pleasant. You almost feel at home, the welcome is so warm. We must persevere in this direction, by offering dishes with an ever more unbeatable quality/price ratio in the future, on this Place des Halles, which has suffered for too long from bad addresses where the customer is misled. Finally, a small place that, without paying lip service, knows how to cause pleasant surprises.

14/01/2026: Restaurant to avoid! The meat was fatty, sinewy, and lacked the tenderness one usually expects from a sirloin steak. Half of it was inedible. The meat was undeniably of poor quality. Moreover, the cut was very thin, contrary to what one would expect from a sirloin steak worthy of the name. The same was true of the lamb that another person in the group ordered. All this at unjustified prices (25 euros for a sirloin steak with dauphinoise potatoes). The service, while not unpleasant, wasn't particularly warm. The owners' children were restless and shouting in the dining room.

02/01/2026: We came in for dinner, and a woman approached us. When I started speaking English, she began waving her hands aggressively in front of my face. It was far too aggressive, and my child was frightened by her behavior. She was shouting that she does not speak English. I believe this may be the reason why the restaurant was almost empty, unlike other places we tried to visit but couldn’t because they were fully booked. Such behavior is very strange for service staff in a tourist city. Colmar welcomes tourists from all over the world. If you don’t want to speak English, that’s fine, but it can be communicated calmly. Her behavior ruined not only our evening, but also our impression of the city itself.

25/12/2025: Excellent restaurant. Friendly atmosphere. The Alsatian sauerkraut was superb. The owner is very kind.

11/12/2025: Everything is homemade! If you're looking for processed food, this isn't the place! Fresh ingredients, an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, and a diverse dessert buffet. Yesterday, we had a choice between baked custard with three homemade sauces, semolina pudding, or a cake: a soft sponge cake with sun-ripened fruits (banana, coconut, etc.). In between, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked pork shoulder and a delicious zucchini gratin. Excellent value for money.

08/12/2025: It's a disgrace to offer a so-called starter buffet for 18 euros when the products are clearly from the day before, the white chicken dish is tasteless, and the dessert buffet includes a pathetic, flavorless tart and rice pudding that was extremely watered down. I strongly advise against it.

11/11/2025: From the moment we booked, the cheerful voice of the staff member reassured us that this was a place where hospitality was paramount. The large table that awaited us provided the desired comfort. The meal was to everyone's liking (special mention for the snails).
