15/12/2025: Nice place with a pleasant waterside location. Plenty of outside covered seating to enjoy the boats pottering about, there is some indoor seating as well. Despite being overcast and damp we sat outside. Good selection of crepes, both savoury and sweet and they were well cooked. Staff were friendly, service was good and food was lovely. Overall a very nice lunch.

08/12/2025: Coffee break after a walk on the plateau... The welcome was with offbeat humor, which wasn't very pleasant. Very poor value for money: a cappuccino for €6.10 without even a glass of water or a small biscuit... Hazelnuts for €3... Surprisingly, the table next to us, ordering hot drinks, received a small pastry. To top it all off, the waiter (the only one in the dining room that afternoon), when it came time to pay, went to serve two drinks on the terrace and, since he didn't have a free hand, he opened the door by kicking the handle with a jolt... Unbelievable... I admit, after opening the door with my sleeve... anyway... Oh yes, something we've never seen before: €14.60 for a Café Liégeois... and the rest of the menu was the same... very disappointed compared to other places.

12/12/2025: From the moment you enter the Polo, you'll appreciate the spaciousness and the warm welcome from the staff. The menu is tastefully presented and the food is excellent! You might ask about the price? Overall, it's very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.

17/11/2025: We had a wonderful evening at the L’Hippodrome restaurant in Marcq-en-Barœul: a delicious meal, a warm welcome, top-notch service, and we were lucky enough to have a race on that day! Magnificent view of the tracks and the option to bet directly from the dining room. A truly great experience, we'll definitely be back! 😊

18/10/2025: Pleasant restaurant in the setting of the racecourse. Friendly service. As for the food, it was very average. The wild sea bream in a ballotine was too dry. The wild boar was super dry and unpleasant on the palate. We do better at home. It's very disappointing for a restaurant of this standing. Even at 137, it's simpler, it's cheaper, and the food is better. The dessert enhanced the quality of the meal. It's beautiful, but it's not good. Try to improve. See you soon.

23/09/2025: Always a pleasure to stop by for a small galette followed by a delicious crepe. There's plenty of choice and the prices are reasonable. And even if I have some crazy questions, the manager takes the time to answer them. Plan to book, it gets busy.

03/02/2026: We stopped by this seaside restaurant and were definitely not disappointed. The welcome was very friendly, and there was a wide selection of mussels (around 70 different recipes) with excellent fries cooked in beef fat. The setting is also very pleasant, and the price is more than reasonable. We will definitely return if we are ever back in the area.

31/01/2026: I had mussels cooked in white wine here. What can I say? They were delicious. Not a single broken mussel in the pot, served with vegetables and garlic. Highly recommended. The accompanying fries were also freshly prepared, and the mayonnaise (definitely homemade) was excellent.

18/01/2026: The food was decent, but nothing special: the snails lacked flavor, the ham hock was dry, perhaps overheated, and the sauerkraut was bland. For a Saturday night, there was little time to relax; you had less than an hour to eat a starter and a main course, and the service was rushed. You get the feeling from the start that you'll have to vacate your table quickly. There was no transparency regarding the price of the water, which appeared to be homemade sparkling tap water: €3.50 for 50 cl! A tourist trap, absolutely avoid it!

07/09/2024: Extrêmement déçus voire mécontents. Plus d'une heure avant d'être servis, très peu de serveurs auxquels on doit demander 3 fois la même chose. Repas des enfants servis 2 fois par 2 serveurs différents... "Flammenkuche" sèche et rien dessus ou presque, viande trop cuite... quant à l'addition, plusieurs produits facturés à tort,y compris des boissons d'une autre table, pour un montant de près de 30 euros à tort. Pas de geste commercial bien sûr ! Fuyez !

06/09/2024: Nous sommes venus pour espérer manger entre amoureux... Nous avons été accueillis par "Mélissa" c'est son prénom d'après une de ses collègues. Il y avait je ne sais combien de tables de disponible, mais au couple qui était devant nous, et à nous-même, l'accès nous a été refusé je cite « bonjour, combien de personnes êtes-vous,désolée mais pour les couples on a pas de place on ne prend plus personne " du coup, nous sommes allés manger chez le black bull... Qui celui-ci nous a accueilli les bras ouverts .

10/06/2025: Reasonably good food. The tables are VERY close together. The flowers on the table were unfortunately wilted and the same piano concerto was playing as music. Reasonably OK but there are still some points for improvement.
