25/09/2026: Visited twice during our trip to Blois, first for drinks and then for drinks and food. Great variety of beer, food was very good, the best steak we’ve had on our trip. Service was great, the staff are constantly on the move making sure everyone is well looked after. A must visit for beer lovers.

28/07/2026: We came across this local restaurant accidentally during out Dordogne trip and i thought it merits special mention. Although its appearance is of a robust local hotel/restaurant, the food that the two "filles" create is of Michelin star quality, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff (including the two ladies who own and run the place) are among the friendliest and fun we have met during out trip. We had our dog with us, who was also very welcome If you are in the area, I really recommend this place.

30/09/2026: The staff at the checkout were downright unpleasant... not at all customer-oriented nor up to the standard of the food... you ask to divide into three 5 seconds after saying into four and it's a disaster... very unpleasant.

From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a warmth and simplicity that are becoming increasingly rare. Jean-Claude, the owner, is an extraordinary character. A car mechanic with a passion for classic cars, he also runs his own sawmill, delivers wood to the surrounding villages, and pilots autogyros and small planes... yet he still finds the energy to liven up his inn every Sunday, transforming it into a dance hall for seniors! At the keyboard and with his singing, he creates a convivial and infectious atmosphere, accompanied by his daughter, whose voice is remarkable. As for the food, the meals feature simple, generous, and delicious local specialties. The value for money is exceptional, both for Sunday lunch and dinner. The cottages are comfortable, very well-equipped, and impeccably maintained. Jean-Claude is always attentive to his guests' well-being. A freshly baked kugelhopf and an excellent bottle of Alsatian wine await you. A quality barbecue is available, as is a pleasant, tree-lined, and flower-filled terrace, perfect for relaxing. On some Saturdays, this terrace also hosts family gatherings in a warm atmosphere and a magnificent natural setting. We came to discover Alsace and found much more than just accommodation: a place to live, to meet others, and to experience authenticity. No need to travel hundreds of kilometers to feel the soul of Alsace; it's right here. An address we recommend without hesitation and where we will gladly return.

05/10/2026: Top-notch local cuisine and conviviality! A superb experience at Bistrot Luzien. The atmosphere is friendly and true to Basque charm. We enjoyed ourselves from the very beginning with the baby squid to share, perfect for starting the meal with an excellent pitcher of homemade sangria. For the main courses, the pluma bellota with its new potatoes was incredibly flavorful, and the steak, ordered rare, was cooked to perfection and served with superb fries. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and generous. A big thank you to the whole team for their warm welcome. A place that truly makes you want to return!

05/10/2026: Great place to eat... dishes to share with your partner on a very cozy terrace. The quality/price ratio is good... but some dishes are a bit pricey in my opinion... but the local ones are about the same. The waitresses are excellent and serve you properly without being intrusive. I'd never seen octopus with chorizo ​​before (accompanied by 3 slices of chorizo!). The baby squid were very good, and the pâté too. Keep it up. Thanks.
