27/08/2024: I'd love to say this was an excellent dining experience, having Googled the reviews I was really looking forward to some authentic French food.
Upon arrival at the tables set outside I checked with the waiter by pointing to my dog to ensure it was acceptable for to sit with me. I was given the nod OK so seated myself outside.
My hungry backside had hardly touched the plastic seat when a surly looking grey haired gentleman came directly to me speaking in French. I politely explained that I don't speak French (poor school descision upon reflection).
This gentleman replied in rather excellent English that he does not speak English and continued in his surly manner speaking to me in French.
Unfortunately I had no idea what he was saying so in a rather bemused manner nodded agreement. Who wants to enflame a situation when all you're hoping to get is feed...anyway...
Mr Grey haired angrypants stalked off back inside the restaurant. I'm thinking he may have been the owner but at that stage I felt awkward and embarrassed so left with aforementioned dog.
So please Mr Grey haired angrypants, please be aware that rudeness translates across any language divide and you had no reason whatsoever to speak to a potential customer in the manner you did.
I'd also like to take the chance to highly recommend the burger place round the corner where the staff where helpful and patient with my attempt to communicate in primary school level French. You can even sit in the beautiful seating area without having to deal with surly grey haired gentleman.

03/09/2024: Rather disappointed, the formula says “all desserts” without the slightest asterisk. But of course, the most tempting dessert is 50cent extra.
You should start by updating the prices displayed before changing your policy.

12/12/2024: I find this place pleasant, as a student I have gone there twice now, we take advantage of the student offer which is wonderfully useful!! The coffees and chocolates are quite decent and the desserts are good from what we have or taste (especially the small cannelés) the upper room is pleasant and intimate. Friendly staff both times. Thank you for these nice snacks!!

02/09/2024: Loved this boutique hotel. Stayed in the Jade room which was lovely. Very spacious bathroom (ladies with long hair, beware there is no conditioner here or anywhere in the whole town lol). Amazing rustic quiet semi-private garden for guests with fantastic views. Loved the infinity pool area, so relaxing. There is no air conditioning as expected in such old towns but the room has a nice big standing fan.
The town has very small tight streets and GPS took us to the wrong road to get there, guests should park in the public paid parking lot which depending on time of arrival (we got there in the afternoon) can get crowded. The host kindly met us there to show us the way to the hotel with our bags. Check in was smooth. She recommended some restaurants and shops on a map. Excellent location, right in the middle of the town.
Couple suggestions:
1) Loved the day bed near the pool but was hard to lounge on without back support, would be perfect with some colorful outdoor pillows
2) The wifi signal is spotty in the pool area, would recommend a booster for the signal (especially for those guests arriving early waiting for the room to be ready).
Overall would highly recommend!

02/09/2024: We stayed there the night of August 24-25, 2024 in room 7. When booking we knew that this room was a triple room but at the price of a double. THANKS. Spacious, clean room with good bedding. The hotel is quiet, well located by the river and a stone's throw from the castles (2) of Bourdeilles (a must-visit). Small, pleasant swimming pool too. Possibility of parking also. The welcome is friendly and professional. Very good catering (around 140 euros for 2 with aperitif, main course, dessert and glass of wine). The price of breakfast is perhaps a little high (16 euros). I recommend this hotel for its calm (far from the hustle and bustle of Brantôme), its location and its catering.

Of all of our Bordeaux restaurant visits, Cent 33 topped our list. Creative, delicious, gorgeously presented bites with impeccable service adds up to a winning evening in our book. Wine parings we fantastic and each course was wonderfully prepared and presented. Highly recommend if you're in the area and congratulations to the team at Cent 33 for creating such a wonderful experience
