A warm welcome and quick but relaxed service. A true favorite among truckers, workers, office workers, regulars, and surprised tourists alike.

17/09/2026: Had lunch here after visiting Boussac market. The food here never disappoints. Always great and good value for money. The lunch menu is 17 euro for 3 courses. Would recommend you book your table as it is really popular.

03/10/2026: First time at this location and it didn’t disappoint! We were late heading there but they still had plenty of options. We had the chicken and charcoal brioche roll. The bread was amazing! Really light and flavourful, nice ingredients and well made.

03/09/2026: The waiter was drunk, reeked of alcohol, and made racist jokes; it was awful. The mosquitoes were unbearable; we got bitten at least 10 times. The food, however, was excellent.

28/08/2026: The food is delicious, and the owner is always very friendly. I come back every time I want to eat excellent Vietnamese cuisine. Loc Lac is phenomenal. The prices are also reasonable for the quality and deliciousness of the food.

01/08/2026: My wife and I spent a couple of days at this hotel in June, 2026. The room we stayed in was in a building back of the main tower. It was a fairly large room with a great shower and bathroom, fairly large twin beds, and had a TV where I could watch a few World Cup matches. It was very quiet at night, and had air conditioning if needed (we turned it on once or twice during the afternoon). The outside of the hotel is charming, and incorporates part of the old city wall. The breakfasts were first rate, and I liked the fact that they had an electric orange juice squeezer so that I could have a glass of fresh OJ each morning along with my two double espressos. It's a bit sad these days that all the hotels use espresso machines rather than make it the old fashion way with real espresso makers, but alas, progress marches on! The location is near the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, and an easy walk to various river cruises of so desired. It is also a short walk into the city square where there are several restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. I would definitely stay here again!

17/06/2026: I booked a room with a balcony and the view of the river is very nice, as is the location. The hotel is clean and the staff are lovely.

13/10/2026: The food misses the mark. Do not get the steak frites. Apparently they’re only able to cook rare or well done (from what I was told). I had to send back the steak twice because I asked for medium and they said this is not common practice in France. Never heard of that before.

Thank you for this delicious and heartwarming experience.
