01/09/2024: 1h d' attente pourtant nous avions réserver dernière table à etre servi serveur très mou le cuisinier observe les gens rentrer et sortir au lieu d' être speed a ses fourneaux nous avons été obligés de réclamer la boisson et les desserts nous avons eu quelques coliques 3h après avoir mangé nos moules frites sans commentaires ah oui pensez a changer vos assiettes

We've lived in Pessac for five years and this was our first time at this establishment, which is very well located right in the center, just outside the free parking lot (2 hours). We will gladly return.

28/12/2025: This restaurant has an "American" atmosphere, meaning a very warm welcome. François, the owner, takes excellent care of his customers, both regulars and newcomers like us. The portions are also "American-style," meaning very generous. However, this doesn't prevent the food from being very healthy and flavorful, like the butcher's cut, for example, which I enjoyed with a perfect aioli, although it would have been just as good with the homemade fish and chips and fries. I recommend the chocolate mousse, which, extremely rarely, is true to the original, meaning no unnecessary butter or cream is added. The only drawback for some might be the noise level, which could be considered a little high, given the otherwise convivial atmosphere.

23/08/2025: We visited on Thursday evening while on holiday. The start of the meal was very promising. We were warmly welcomed, enjoyed a lovely cocktail and amuse-bouche, and the starters with the wine were excellent. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. The mains (the rabbit and the lamb) were simply not good, and both of them had an overwhelming amount of purée on the plate. Service declined noticeably; our wine was rarely topped up, it took around 45 minutes for plates to be cleared, and no one checked in to see if we wanted more drinks or how our meal was. Dessert felt overpriced for what it was, particularly as it was a supplement. Most concerningly, despite making my nut allergy clear, I was served food containing almonds, which should not happen. A real shame, as the evening started so well but ended with disappointment. Maybe they were just having a tough night. Food looked really good (see photos) but we were left feeling let down.

25/11/2024: A very warm welcome with a unique menu, even with alternatives for vegetarians. The service was extraordinary, both funny and very friendly! The meal was simply divine: ravioli with foie gras followed by a rack of lamb that blew me away. And the icing on the cake: unlimited wine! The atmosphere was incredible, with everyone ending up dancing and chatting between the tables. We came just for dinner, but we had a memorable evening until 2am! A superb setting and a caring team, a big congratulations to Vincent and his entire team for making our evening unforgettable.

07/12/2025: The room was magnificent, the bedding very comfortable, we booked a suite. However, upon arriving at reception, the receptionist couldn't find our booking options and told us to sort it out ourselves. Fortunately, her manager arrived and resolved the issue; thank you to him. Nevertheless, a stay costing over €900 for one night, to be treated like this, a €50 buffet dinner, a tasteless breakfast, an overcrowded pool, no towels available… and to top it all off, a wedding in the hotel with loud music all night long that made the walls of the room shake. We had stayed and dined by candlelight at the Château de Montvillargene about ten years ago; it was magnificent. Today we've just returned from Center Parcs, where we paid four times the price of a mobile home but received the same level of service.

07/12/2025: We celebrated my birthday on December 5, 2025, and my husband's on December 7, 2025. We loved everything from the location to the food! I recommend this romantic, beautiful, and cozy place. There's a spa, a pool, and a huge area around the castle where you can stroll.
