29/04/2026: An excellent experience at La Petite Auberge d’Oingt! The food was absolutely delicious, with high-quality dishes bursting with flavor. But what impressed us most was the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. My grandmother is lactose intolerant, and they took the time to adapt the dishes so she could enjoy her meal too, with great care and consideration. This truly made a difference for our family. A huge thank you for the warm welcome and impeccable service. We will definitely be back!

24/04/2026: A very beautiful and charming hotel. It's a real treat to be able to work remotely from their garden overlooking the lake. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The only improvement worth noting is that they don't have a dinner menu; they might suggest what they have available at the time.

We had the opportunity to DJ at a wedding there, and everything came together perfectly to create a truly memorable moment: an elegant setting, seamless organization, and a professional and attentive team. The venue lends itself ideally to musical direction, with a real sense of cohesion between the spaces and the key moments of the event, from the cocktail hour to the evening reception. We wholeheartedly recommend this venue to both couples getting married and vendors.

05/06/2026: Nice comfortable small not very expensive restaurant, with good options. For vegetarians it’s mostly salad and fries, rice. Very yummy sweets. Absolute gem. Nice lady who didn’t speak English, but we still could communicate.

27/05/2026: A place like you rarely see anymore: a very warm and friendly welcome. I'd only been once, and the lady remembered me and what I ate! It felt a bit like home. Homemade and high-quality food. The Caesar salad is authentic, and the curry vinaigrette is light and delicious! Fresh, homemade fries. I highly recommend it.

13/06/2026: A traditional bar café, patronised mostly by local workers, but very welcoming to us. Lunch is 3 courses, starters are help yourself from a chiller, with a good choice. Mains & puddings are to order from short menus of traditional French cuisine. We visited before, in April, & found the place consistently good on our second visit. No need to book, but I'd recommend going at midday or soon after for the best tables & food choices.

11/06/2026: Don't judge a book by its cover: Sylvie might seem a bit rough around the edges, and the staircase leading to the rooms could easily put you off. In fact, while not luxurious, the rooms are perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean, and Sylvie is absolutely lovely, taking excellent care of her guests. Her cooking is delicious and very (perhaps too?) generous. The hotel is very well located. So, you can book a stay at the Hôtel des Genêts without hesitation.

Special mention for the wild shrimp curry: pure bliss! 🍤✨ The restaurant has a friendly and authentic atmosphere, thanks to a fantastic team. And we can't forget the parrot 🦜, the restaurant's true mascot, who adds an original and adorable touch to this already perfect experience. Between the quality of the food, the warm welcome, and the wonderfully convivial atmosphere, this is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. Can't wait to go back!
