I received a royal welcome, I was able to refill my water bottles, and my dog ​​got the red carpet treatment: dog food, cuddles, and compliments! In short, thank you 🙏

23/08/2026: After the climb from Véranne, there's nothing better than a meal at this inn. The experience is always the same: a warm welcome and generous portions. After that, the climb to the Col du Grateau is a bit more challenging. 😄

19/10/2026: Because the server eventually took this dish off my check, I am giving a 3 star instead of 1. Half way through the salad we saw a dead snail (wild kind not eatable), and immediately pointed to the server. He took it away without any explanation and later I saw this dish full priced on my bill. His explanation was “it was fresh, so it had snails”. I pointed out he took away without any replacement, so he said he would take off this item because it was his gift This is not a joke. Having a dead snail does not mean a salad is fresh. It means the salad was not washed. Snails and slugs carries many harmful parasites, including rat lungworm, which can cause serious neurological complications, including meningitis. Their presence in a raw dish raise legitimate food safety concerns. You need to treat this seriously.
