21/06/2026: I rarely leave reviews after a hotel stay. But this time, I'm making an exception because, frankly, they deserve it. I was delighted with my stay at the Hotel Restaurant Martinez. The setting was pleasant, the meals were delicious and varied, the room was comfortable, and the service was tailored to my needs during meals. Everything went smoothly and with attentive service. From what I heard, all the guests were happy. I highly recommend this hotel. The entire team is efficient and caring. Excellent value for money. Well done and thank you to them all.

03/04/2026: The chef/manager is very unpleasant and has a serious lack of hygiene. Furthermore, he refused to let me use his restroom. The food arrived cold, and the atmosphere was far from welcoming. It felt like being on a hidden camera show. The menu is interesting, but the food lacked flavor. The chef speaks loudly, and given previous reviews, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him shirtless in his kitchen. In short, avoid this place unless you're going to the restroom.

30/06/2026: Twice now, and I've known this establishment for 40 years, the quality has declined. While the products are still good, it's the details that have changed, and it's often the details that make the difference. A special mention for the bread, which is excellent. As for the wines by the glass, here as elsewhere, the finish, body, and aromas are lacking, to the detriment of ethanol and methanol. When you ask for advice, the person clearly doesn't understand and serves you the most expensive one!?! Not bad, but at €7.50 a glass, I very rarely find the same richness as wines from before the 2000s. Am I too old to appreciate today's plonk? Probably. The good life will soon be nothing more than an old way of thinking and living in this world where individuality disappears in the tumult of preferences for everyone, and therefore ultimately for no one. Here, as elsewhere, we are losing our identities to the melting pot.

28/06/2026: Excellent service! I had called ahead for my mother, who has health problems and can't eat everything. A special menu was prepared for her: she felt comfortable and had a wonderful time. A big thank you for your understanding and kindness, as this isn't always the case!

25/06/2026: The welcome was very warm, the Saint Nectaire fondue was decent, and the parsley potato side dish was excellent. I was just disappointed by the charcuterie, which I found to be of average quality, while my partner was very happy with the vegetarian side dish. The price-quality ratio was probably not in line with the menu, despite the limited selection.

21/05/2026: A former private mansion taken over by a French family with a passion for art, who had the rather brilliant idea of ​​naming it “Lancaster” (I was convinced it was an English hotel 😄). The place is elegant, refined, and welcoming… but what truly makes the difference here is the people. ⭐ Eric, the head waiter, is probably one of the best people I've ever seen in a restaurant. Highly cultured, passionate about history, passionate about his work, and above all, able to adapt to each table with intelligence and ease. I told him that this kind of excellence is becoming rare, and he replied, “It's the ABCs of the profession”… which is precisely what many people forget these days. 🍷 Franchiska, a delightful and very knowledgeable sommelier. The first time, she pulled off a remarkable feat: making me enjoy a white wine when I used to say I almost exclusively drank Chablis 😄 She introduced me to: * Montlouis 2021 from the Loire Valley * Famille Michon – Les Hauts Chemins Both excellent. And on my second visit, when I wanted to order the same wine again, she had me try something else… and it was another success 👏 👨‍🍳 Farid, a very talented chef. I'll be honest: what impressed me the most… was the rice 🍚😅 My wife ordered her fish with rice, and after tasting this simple side dish, I asked to meet the chef because it was so delicious. I even told him he could come work for me just to make rice 😂 🍰 Tom, a very friendly pastry chef as well. The first time, they were out of the soufflé. Eric strongly recommended the very "simple" rice pudding... which was absolutely divine. This time, I finally got to try the soufflé 👌 Regarding the dishes: * Amazing vegetable tempura (it would make anyone love vegetables) * Very good fish and chips * Excellent octopus starter * And the rest of the meal was a delight from start to finish But honestly, the Lancaster's greatest strength remains the duo Franchiska and Eric. They are a cornerstone of the restaurant experience. Well done to the whole team. 20/04/2026: A wonderful discovery. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant and the service is professional. As for the food: they showcase fresh produce and seasonal vegetables. A particular highlight is the delicate aroma that pleasantly perfumes each room. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're just passing through or a Parisian.
