28/02/2026: We'd been passing by for ages, and we finally made a reservation! The dining room was magnificent, the welcome very warm, and the food was excellent, made with quality ingredients. I'm deducting one star for the entrecôte with shallots; I was expecting shallots, not shallot butter, but the meat itself was very good and cooked exactly as we'd hoped. Aperitifs, starters, main courses, and desserts are all à la carte, with wine pairings... Some might say it's expensive, but you get what you pay for 😉 We'll gladly return.

Take all the time you need, whenever it feels right, in a comfortable situation. There's no rush. The website doesn't inspire much confidence (numerous bugs), no email confirmation once the order is placed (which doesn't improve trust), but the package arrived right on time to be placed under the Christmas tree and was well received by its recipient.

13/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. The balance of flavors is very well managed. The chef deserves his two stars. After reading the reviews, I had two concerns: 1- The speed of service. We specified that we didn't want to stay at the table for more than 3 hours. This was the case (as the restaurant wasn't full). 2- The atmosphere with the servers. Indeed, there was one server who was very cold with an attitude that didn't make you want to linger, but we didn't encounter him often. Special mention goes to the youngest server who was very dynamic, very professional, and very pleasant. In terms of price, the best compromises are the €55 or €75 menus. For the menu with the most courses, the value for money (€195) is less appealing. But considering the ambiance and the details like the silver cutlery, I think the price is quite reasonable.

11/05/2026: The food is excellent. The sommelier is exceptional, and the service is very good, especially from the only woman who served us that evening—always smiling and very professional. On the other hand, I can't understand why having two Michelin stars immediately implies a tense, uninspired, and overly pretentious atmosphere. It's much more pleasant to be in a place with good food and a good ambiance than in a place where it seems like if you place your hand in the wrong position, people will judge you. I know other Michelin-starred restaurants that offer a much more normal atmosphere. Another point to note is that the portions are very generous, which is very enjoyable. However, 13 courses is too much; we left feeling stuffed. In short, great food, great service, but relax, and I think seven courses would be more than enough. The two local wines were incredible! Thank you for everything!

17/05/2026: What a pleasure it was to rediscover the taste of the tarte flambée we ate as children! Perfectly cooked, a true delight, and impeccable service with humor, smiles, and as a bonus, a tour of the kitchen before leaving. What more could you ask for to have a wonderful evening?

18/02/2026: We regularly come to S'Fassner Stuebel to enjoy their tarte flambée, as my wife and I consider it one of the best in Alsace. We absolutely love it. This time, we came for a special evening event, which was a mussels and fries night. It felt very strange not to order tarte flambée at this restaurant :-) After a small aperitif, we tucked into the mussels and fries until we were full, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We'd been wanting to try them for a while, so it was perfect timing... We then ordered the vacherin glacé (ice cream cake) and a homemade meringue with whipped cream, and to finish, a traditional coffee accompanied by a small liqueur offered by the owner. We had a wonderful evening and will be back very soon to eat again, and as always, enjoy their sublime tarte flambée...
